201  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT order list on: April 10, 2014, 09:32:49 AM
Toots, I have another request for you... I know this list is becoming a task to maintain...

Is there a way you could possibly isolate the "received list" from the "pending list". (Also, on the ones who had transfers of ownership, that are "confirmed completed", could you remove the prior owners records, or isolate those to another list of "transferred units", for record purposes.)

EG...

Pending sales:
(Listed first, since it helps isolate "possible issues")

Received units:
(Listed second, since it is essentially "work completed")

Transferred ownership:
(Listed last, if only for historic purpose. No order details are needed, except order# and new/old owners. Since the details are listed above already.)

Thank-you, Jason D

P.S. Also, no need to mentioned "canceled orders", as those are non-paid orders, thus, never actually seen by AMT. Between gaps of orders, are lots of "non-paid" orders, from people just "testing the final price", or "never actually paying for the order". Orders are not actual orders, until payments have been made and confirmed. Essentially, it is like mentioning what people had in a shopping-cart. Just helps to remove the clutter of "not an actual order", from the list.

P.P.S. Glad to see you are still keeping the list alive.

I'm not getting payments from airpool.org, there's also no option for request a manual payout. Anyone else with this issue?

I have been using http://air.carbonshark.com/

They had a similar issue, which was resolved. It had to do with an update that the old pool-client had... (The emailer got botched in the old update, it was resolved in the new update to the pool-client. Try to contact the pool operator via one of the old emails, as the contact form will also not function, if the verification emails are not function.)
203  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 10, 2014, 07:49:11 AM
He's got a DL issue for the moment, which will make getting around a bit of an issue. For the moment, we've recruited him to help with some board diagnostics from his location until he can figure our his DL. We appreciate Jason's help and look forward to having him come up soon.
Somehow, it still ceases to amaze me how you continue to provide private information about your customers. You might as well just come out and state that so-and-so has a DWI, or was involved in some vehicular homicide, or some other event that occurred for him to not have a valid DL.

LOL.. No DWI (I don't even drink.)... and no Vehicular homicide... except for me killing my van, my wagon, my hatch-back... They deserved it! (Not everyone in the world who is able to drive, has a drivers license.)

I am a customer, and now also a "private contractor", assisting AMT. They have not divulged anything personal about me, which could not have been found out through any public records. (However, this "private contractor", me, is not asking for anything in return, though, fair compensation was offered. I am not rich, I am not poor, but I am willing to stand behind them and my friends, doing what needs to be done, to help. This BTC community didn't survive by going at each-others throats. It has survived and thrived off sacrifice in a belief.) Tongue

The reason why my limitations of myself not "going there to work directly at the moment", was because of my lack of a current drivers license. In Florida, where I live, I do not need a drivers-license to get around. I walk, ride a bike, or ride my solowheel everywhere. If I were to go to PA, I would have to drive every day, to go to the various locations, to assist them. The assistance I am offering, does not need my physical presence, so arrangements have been made to keep me located in Florida, and assisting them from here. (Think of it as "outsourcing", it was cheaper and more convenient that way, for both of us.)

It is just a matter of me getting my drivers-license again, which simply involves me paying for it, and the issue related to it. (P.S. Never leave an uninsured dead vehicle in your driveway with an expired tag on it, where the state can see it. Seems that is illegal in Florida, and comes with a penalty. Just another way for the state to make money, doing nothing.) Tongue

In any event, should further assistance be needed, in the areas that I am best suited for, it would simply take one visit to the DMV to get my license. Until then, my State-ID has suited me fine for the last four years. (Saves a lot of money, not paying for gas, oil, repairs, insurance, car-payments.)

In addition, I will be attempting to provide some useful video, of both technical and non-technical aspects of the 1.2THs miners they make.

P.S. To the ones who are attempting to sue AMT, you are hurting the customers, more than AMT. For no gains, for them, you, or us. Sorry, but that is just taking two steps backwards, in my opinion. Don't trust the lawyers, they are in the business of making themselves money, not you. (Don't be fooled by the gains "they made themselves", ask them "what gains did you make for your clients". You will see that they fall silent, when asked that question. The answer is "none", no "gains" were made for the clients.)

P.P.S. SPARTA! (#300... Come on people, that should have been in the first post on this page!)
204  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 09, 2014, 08:33:50 PM
4k? Man don't you think I been hit hard enough already?

Best of luck getting 6K. 4K is a very decent offer considering all the other available A1 miners in that price range.

"All the others"... 1.2THs... That are real...

I see a few 1.0THs miners, that are OC'ed to get 1.0THs selling for $6-$7K. I don't see any $4K 1.2THs miners.
(That are being shipped, or not obvious scams.)

Coincraft Desk 1.0THs: $5,679.00 (Beginning of May) + VAT
Coincraft Rig 1.25THs: $7,999.00 (End of April) + VAT

DragonMiner 1.0THs: $3,990.00 (One unit in stock) PSU won't deliver 1.0GHs, maybe 900GHs + Import taxes
MintForge 1.0THs: $3,999.00 (? in stock) {Power supply is included (970w operation)} + Import taxes
China Delivery: May or may-not ever get to you, in 3-12 weeks.
(Ebay can confirm those delivery possibilities as facts, as well as all the AVALON threads. China: Refunds... Hahahahaha, yea right! China: Guarantee: Hahahahaha One month of operation, before they change names again, and run, as units start to die. "Buy now, before it is all be going!")

AMT 1.2THs: $5,599.00 (By the way things are turning around now, April/May delivery.)* {My estimate, not AMT's}
Still the best value, at any rate. In the USA.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 09, 2014, 06:38:47 PM
Actually... Thinking about the jesting comment I made earlier...

If "AIR" was just setup as an exchange, not a specific coin...

Have all versions of the AIRcoin...
AIRsh2 (Sha256) {A-sh}
AIRscr (Scrypt) {A-sc}
AIRs-n (N-Scrypt) {A-sn}
AIRs-6 (Scrypt-6) {A-s6}
AIRx11 (x11) {A-11}
and...
AIRone (The bonus value, isolated and created as a representation of the bonus gains. Not mined.)

Thus, 1 AIRone would be = 0.1 AIRsh2 = 0.5 AIRscr = 0.7 AIRs-n = 0.3 AIRs-6 = 0.2 AIRx11... etc... (Just random numbers, but they would be based off what you "purchased" back from the exchanges, to distribute as the rewards, per coin. Which would only be traded/cashed-in on your exchanges.)

Etc... Thus, you corner the whole market without excluding any miners, and yet, each is independent... All would get the "AIR-Bonus", from the pool. You just mine whatever you are setup for.

With (AIR) being the "bonus" not the "coin".

Though, I still say relaunch with a 1:1 credit on the original AIRcoin, but without a premine at all, on any coins. (Just enough on the original AIRcoin, to compensate for the 1:1 transfer of honest mined coins.)

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 09, 2014, 04:58:49 PM
what the FUCK is going on in here?

Quick recap:

AIRcoin -> Soon to be AIR-BetaCoin? (ABC)(AIR)? {Scrypt} 2.5-million premine

NewAIRcoin -> Soon to be NewAIRcoin? (NAIR)? {N-Scrypt} 2.5-million + AIR-BetaCoin-PreviouslyMined-Credit premine*
* (Used to credit those who already mined OldAIR. Thus, OldAIR users will have 1:1 credit on NewAIR, what they had of OldAIR.)

Same market-cap, same premine percentage (but double qty total) by the devs, same starting reward... (But variable reward {not detailed}, starts on NewAIR?)

OldAIR will have KGW adjusted. (No mention of how it is adjusted.)

Credits will start in about a day (or today)? The crediting will continue for about 3 days? Then new coin will be launched.

EG: Quick way to double your holdings, having equal parts of both, is to buy OldAIRcoins, before the "crediting" starts.
207  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 09, 2014, 02:20:52 AM
(Plans are in the works. However, my participation will be of non-assembly assistance. There was other services that required my knowledge and skills. That is as far as I am willing to say about my participation with AMT. This should help get things moving along, in any event, with less loss to them.)

I honestly don't think that the class-action lawsuit will benefit those participating in it. They never do. You could have 100% of what you paid for, to be built... but instead, you are willing to settle for a lot less, after the lawyer takes nearly 50% of any possible returns you would get. I am not seeing the logic in that war. It is already costing them more to make the miners, than we paid, due to several legitimate shortfalls which were not under their direct control.

Hopefully, my efforts will help to alleviate some of that loss. Yes, I am essentially working for free, for US and THEM. Call it my "pay-back", for all that was done for me in the past. Karma-dues, being payed.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 08, 2014, 02:39:45 PM
We have made a decision on exactly how to proceed with improving the coin's code. What we will be doing is marking the currently traded coin as "AIRcoin Beta", and will make a wallet update with KGW fixes and new documentation to reflect that. It will still be supported for the time being, and it will be managed on Poloniex.

Next, we will prepare a code for the full version of AIRcoin, including the variable block reward and improved investment system. Before it is released however, we will announce (with 72 hours in advance) a 72 hour verification period where users of the coin will be able to verify their wallet addresses (and the amount of AIRcoin beta inside them), after which we will have a giveaway for the new blockchain based on the amount within the wallets during verification. This gives users plenty of time to buy or sell AIRcoin in advance of this news.

The new blockchain will have very similar stats to the old one, except with a premine increased to include the coins given away for the new releaseThe next difficulty adjustment algorithm will be our own variation on the Dark Gravity Well, with further improvements over KGW.

One change that has occurred this week, however: We have chosen Scrypt-N over X11, in part due to complications with implementing X11, and concerns over its ease of access for new users. The next coin will have a number of new features, and a full update list will come out before the verification period.

So the timeline will be:

0HR: Notice of new coin
72HR: Verification period begins
144HR: Verification Period Ends
- HR: Coin released

Mintpal has requested that AIRcoin be added to their exchange, and we will add AIRcoin to Mintpal after the next release, and we are currently working with a new, well-funded and professional exchange that will be arriving soon.

We are still answering questions via email (if you don't get a response within 48 hours, try either the contact form on the website, alexander's email (Alexander@teamaircoin.org) or the support email (support@teamaircoin.org). And we are still watching the threads, but as normal, we will update the threads with new information but still ask for users to either send private messages to this account or emails for direct questions. We've found that emails are a much better way of answering direct questions about the coin, as well as keeping the team focused on the task at hand.

This is just a step of evolution towards AIRcoin, and the support you guys have shown has really helped us learn and improve as time goes on. Those who remarked early that AIRcoin was a "long term coin" are very correct. We're all hoping that we can move forward as we try to improve the system and bring it to real world merchants.

Addendum:

The coins will be 1:1 at the amounts when verified in that 72 hour window.

However, this is explicitly not a transfer of funds. We are not accepting any of the old AIRcoin (AIRcoin beta) and you are free to continue using them, we are just using the support that others have (from their existing stores of AIRcoin) to distribute the new blockchain. The team is not moving coins from one location to another, they are just distributing new ones, and the old coin code still exists.

The timeline stated in the previous post will start (0HR) when the new coin's code is ready to be released and it is set up for exchange.

Just a recap, for those who may have missed it... Entering the thread late...
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 08, 2014, 01:46:33 PM
It doesn't matter what algo you use... That is irrelevant.

If it runs cooler, and costs you less to create it, the coin is worth less and can be sold for less. If it costs you more, it has to be sold for more. The "hashing-rate", is not a comparison, nor is watts without adjusting your miners for the scrypt-variance. Hashing half the work, twice as fast, consumes the same power. Hashing it half the work, half as fast, is just dumb. You have just made a ghetto pseudo-ASIC, except a real ASIC would have actually run at 1/100th the cost. All you did was isolate yourself to an exclusive coin that no-one wants to hop to, or mine.

(You have no idea how scrypts work, that is why you are being suckered into the novelty of "it's faster, look at those bigger numbers!"... and "It saves power, look, only 50% of the wattage!"... lol, seriously... Might as well be mining a coin with a million-coin reward. The reward has nothing to do with the value. It is the number of blocks per day, and number of blocks you can get, with x-dollars in electricity, that determines the value of the "units", whatever they are. "OMG BTC is 2790 on Huobi and only 450 on BTCe, I'm gonna sell there instead, I get 2790, that's more, right! Yea, Yuan... What is that in Zimbabwe-dollars?)

I can make scrypt run 50% cooler, just got to tune it for that. I can make it run 50% hotter too. (The point is, you have to tune the cards for each VARIATION of the scrypt you are using. That is why hoppers only hop among the coins they are tuned for. That is the "snap your fingers to keep away the dragons". There are no dragons.)

Your failure to comprehend this stuff, is a sign that you have no idea what you are doing.

So now we have AIR, AIIR, and soon AIIIR...
Or will it be AIRs, AIRsN and AIRx11 (Hey, future markets! Get in now!)
Don't forget AIRsha2, and AIRsha3 (Soon to be.) Also AIRs6 and AIRmd5 and AIRblowfish (I like that one)

Funny thing is, they could have used an existing coin, to do what they wanted, except for manipulating the reward (redundant), and the premine (not even needed).

Is this so you have 2-coins on your own exchange that you are building? You do realize you don't even need coins (premine), if you are going to have your own exchange, since the exchange uses "credit" for the exchanges, not actual coins. (Again, a sign that they are not thinking things through.) Just like silver exchanges don't even actually have silver, they just paper-trade for differences. There is no spoon! (No silver spoon.)

Miners are now off this coin for good. I'll just double my 12K and wait for it to become worth something. Might want to actually invest in the coin/us and less in yourselves.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 08, 2014, 04:39:30 AM
So, if I'm understanding this correctly, all the AIR Beta I submit during the verification window will be honored 1:1 with the new AIRcoin.

My AIR Beta is not destroyed or exchanged, I get to keep it?  For every AIR Beta that I own right now, I get a matching "new" AIRcoin?

If that's the case, why on earth isn't everyone buying assloads of AIR right now?

So you get 2x the AIR, in essence... (Pun intended.)

If you have 2,000 OldAIRbeta, you will now have 2,000 oldAIRbeta, and 2,000 newAIR...

Why have only 2,000 turn to 4,000, when you could have 20,000 and turn that into 40,000!
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 08, 2014, 01:32:52 AM
Ok, so there will be two coins...

The old one staying as Scrypt, the new one will be n-Scrypt?

Both will have an equal premine, thus AIRteam now has 5,000,000 AIRcoins (new+old) total, 2.5-million x2... 2.5mill on each chain...

We will get "matched" value on the new AIRcoin, but AIRcoin-Beta will still be a whole other coin... (Also traded on the exchanges?)

So, again, we move ten steps backwards... A bunch of people (old investors) get a bunch of $0.00 cost-to-produce coins.. of the new coin... making us able to dump down to $0.0000001 if desired, for a gain, on the new coin, which others are having to mine, at an actual cost! Then, we also still get to have our old coins, which now it would be safe to assume, half the miners of OLD-AIR, will go to NEW-AIR. Thus making it even easier for them to cash-out at half the price on both coins value. (Since less miners on that coin = more reward per day, thus, half the cost to obtain them.) Worse if everyone leaves BETA, and moves to the new coin, of even less value...

Why exactly would you NOT just transfer coins/value and dismantle the old coin? I am not following this logic.

(Might then want to make a whole new coin called NotAIR, since that will just confuse everyone, calling the new coin AIRcoin, and trying to rename the old one AIRcoinBeta.)

You see... This is exactly what I am talking about...

There is no... "AIRteam: Question... Hey guys, who just invested a bunch of money/time... What do you think of us doing this idea?"...

Instead, it is like this... "AIRteam: Statement... This is what we decided to do to your value/investment now!"
212  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 07, 2014, 09:13:13 PM
@ISAWHIM
Did you and AMT ever come to an arrangement to have you go and help?

Inquiring minds want to know. Cheesy

UPDATE: Official contact has been made again. My bags are being packed, again. Just waiting on a date to fly-up to Philly.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 07, 2014, 08:59:26 PM
So are we getting a 1:1 exchange of AIRcoin-Betacoins to AIRcoin? (Or proportional, if initial reward is not the same, to start.)

What will the new-coins dev-premine be, the same? The same as it was before, or just an initial premine for us, to "transfer only actual mined coins, from Betacoins to AIRcoins"? (That is not quite clear. The way it is worded, it sounds like a lotto, with more chances to win, if we have more old-AIR coins? "Giveaway", may not be the best word to use. "Transfer of funds", would be more appropriate.)

An automated transfer would be easy enough... We deposit our coins into a "unique designated old-AIR address", and the same amount is deposited into our "submitted new-AIR address". (Note though, that this transfer service will have to remain active for several months. In which time, reward for mining old-AIR should be set to 0.00 AIR, after that block, which you intend to "disallow mining", but still have to keep the network alive for the transfers to happen. Which would include exchanges, who would have to auto-transfer on our behalf, for those of us who mine to pools, then deposit into the exchanges, without a personal wallet to do this transfer.)
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AIRcoin on: April 07, 2014, 03:14:15 AM
I wrote an email a week ago on their website and did not receive a response. I haven't sent one since then so they might have the time to respond now.

Mintpals' trading API has been released for closed beta which coincides well with the two week mark the devs were asking for. Of course mintpal want votes to add a coin and Aircoin is no where near the top of the list unless the devs know someone that knows someone.

In the meantime, have we ran out of dumpers? I like to buy more cheap coins but it keeps going up.

It's still cheap!!  ;-)

And easy to mine!
215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 06, 2014, 07:44:47 PM
Then you can wait two or three months I think that is what amt will do
Really I can not understand you but it does not matter at all.

I have waited more than three months, almost four now... Yes, that, to me, is still acceptable in "pre-order" land. Having it faster would have been better. Having it before the next BTC hike, will be golden! What does not bode well with me, is the poor time estimations, power estimations, lack of communication and continual broken promises.

Still waiting to see the "forums", the "news updates", or even get a confirm e-mail for my order-status. Not to mention, twice already I had my bags packed, waiting for some kind of reply, saying, "Ok, come up, land your airplane here, we will bring you to the dungeons to build miners."

I'll settle for more compensation for extended delays. The 2.4THs upgrade would be nice, but too much, in my eyes. Having 7x-8x boards, upgraded from the 6x, would suffice. Tongue
216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 06, 2014, 07:32:36 PM
And you as paing customer are happy and calm because I all is going as promised?
ISAWHIM do you real are that under control means that you will not be able to pay for electricity before you got your miner?
I fell sory for you dude really. Probably I am the one who does not understand your away of thinking. But what I do understand that some how AMT are making you look like complete jerks convincing you and  bulshiting you since the beginning

I run scrypt miners that consume the same power, and operate making less money. I pay for electricity just fine with my earnings. How do you think I got the money to buy this miner? Mining scrypt-coins all summer for what appeared to be little gains. I am sure I will manage with my 1.5THs miner, mining all the low-diff alts, which will force the prices up on them, as I consume coins and hold them for a later date, again.

When BTC hits $6000, soon, electricity will be the last thing on my mind. (Again, I do not mine BTC directly, that is just stupid. The diff is too high. lol. Why mine BTC when you can make 1000% more mining other coins. Could have made AMT a nice penny doing that too. Another opportunity for them to gain, lost.)
217  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 06, 2014, 07:16:47 PM
Interesting... I placed my order on December 5th (#899) and was told my delivery would be in February. Interesting you placed an order after mine but was told a shipping date prior to mine....

Regardless, no PM, email, phone calls, or anything updating me on status.

Not 100% sure, but I think you also paid more than we did too, or did you get it at the price-change too?... The price dropped about $500, I think, by the time I placed my order. Then it dropped another $400 after I placed my order. Roughly that much, I believe. So, the order I am getting now, is the same as the guy who paid $400 less then me, and $900 less than you?

Original price was: $6499 ??
My price was: $5999
New price is: $5599

The website said, it would ship in 4-6 weeks, as well as the reassuring post in the forums. Quote is still there, "All 1.2Th/s miners will ship in 6 weeks or less." If we ordered it before the 14th of Dec. That was after the news from Bitmine.ch, about the chips "now shipping". (Just before the storms, which delayed the delivery until Feb.)

I have no idea what time-frame they offered to those customers, prior to those dates. I imagine sales were stalling, so with the news, they promised earlier deliveries, to get more sales before the holidays.

@Casey
how is your miner doing? Hope it's still running smooth. Any chance of a video or screen shots any time soon?

@ISAWHIM
Did you and AMT ever come to an arrangement to have you go and help?

Inquiring minds want to know. Cheesy

Never got a PM, or an e-mail, or anything... again.
(My offer for assistance is now off the table, I just want my miner now, with the compensation promised.)

Order: #968, placed Dec.10.2013 ("4-6 weeks, guaranteed delivery of order placed now, for 1.2THs models.")
1st ship-date: Jan.10.2014-Jan.24.2014 (Original date promised on website and assured in the forums by AMT, if I hurried to place my order.)
2nd ship-date: Feb.14.2014 (Chips late)
3rd ship-date: Mar.12.2014 (Backplane issues, Cage issues)
Compensation Offered: +0.3 THs (1.2THs + 0.3THs = 1.5THs NOMINAL {Not in turbo-mode})

Date now: Apr.06.2014 (Plus a week for PSU's to arrive)

4th ship-date: ?? Apr.14.2014 ?? (PSU late, Backplane resolved, Cage resolved)
Compensation Offered: ?? (Actual delivery) ??

Seems they have it all under control.

I am sure they are reading the forums and compiling some answers to add to the FAQs page, like they said they were going to do. The two week mark is nearly up though, from the last announcement.

However, they will be replying to a thin crowd of investors at this point. Investors who are still investing, and growing in holding-volume. We are already at 5% mined, of premine level now.

+2,629,556.44 AIR Blockchain
-2,500,000.00 Premine
================
= 129,556.44 Mined AIR = 5.1822576% of the Premine matched

I really wish they would just work with me here, on a solution. I would rather that the coin remain in the full ownership of AIRteam. With any of the suggestions made. Nothing I have suggested would impede them from doing what they NEED to do, and will only make it easier for them to achieve the goals, in the end. (Except the one about "setting the reward, based on price." Since the point of the alts, is that the reward auto-adjusts based on the price, via miners mining. Thus, it is redundant, and will only drive miners away. Plus, without "regulation", nothing stops them from "self interest", by setting those values. Defeats the purpose of "halving reward" as the nature of the statement of the coins attributes, if you can just double it up by altering it with a click of a button. Thus, yes, another contradiction in the "whitepaper".)

This coin has become a vacuum.

This coin has become a solo-miners haven again. Though, still better luck in a pool.

Might even be a few CPU miners in the pool I am in. Tongue (Or old nvidia cards.)

3.2MHs is returning about 150-160 AIR per day. Get it before the diff goes back up. The only way to get the value to rise is to keep that reward for everyone low. If you stopped mining it, you are just contributing to the devaluation of your holdings.

If you pool isn't paying-out everyone on every block, proportionally... (Just a few on fast blocks.) Then the pool you are in, is not setup correctly. Try mining on this pool, and you will see the rewards are better. http://air.carbonshark.com/

EG, find a short-time block, if there are 20 miners, but only 3-8 got paid on that short block, due to lack of shares... That pool is shorting you and rewarding those "lucky few". Every block should have proportional rewards of every miner within every block. Not going to point fingers, but there are a couple of pools still improperly setup for distributed rewards for fast coins like AIR.

Only a fool sells coins this low, on a coin this young. Tongue My gain.
