Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Tell me your plan

What PoW altcoins you think will survive this bear market and stand strong in 2024 when bear market is getting over with? And which altcoins would you rather mine and hold for 2024 and 2025?
The best plan is to mine ethereum or other profitable coins while you still have the opportunity. If you have read this article, then understand that it is very difficult to make plans after the end of Ethereum mining. https://bitproit.com/gpu-mining-profitability-after-ethereum-merge/Though there is some partial truth's in that link from Bitpro.. They've neglected to input a lot of data and when at the end they offer to buy your mining rigs it's pretty laughable or am I missing something? ETH's network is AT LEAST 50% ASIC's, probably nearer 70% yet he didn't take this into account. There are also several (GPU minable) coins that are not on his list.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BEST MINING OPTION FOR 500W ?

Hello guys If you had a free 500w /h what crypto will you be mining? i will install some solar power on my room and i calculate that i will have about 500w /h free and i intent to use these watts for mining what would be the best option for me? i am a newbie when comes to mining is monero or z cash still profitable? would an antminer x3 500w will be a good option for me? thank you in advance
I think if you’re expecting solar power to run your miners you have a lot to learn. The amount of batteries you would need to keep it going through the night or cloudy days would be so much that it isn’t even worth mentioning that you plan to install solar. It’s nice to have solar to help with long term electricity costs, but it’s really more of a home choice than an addition to a home mining setup. Even if you spend nearly $50K on your solar setup like I did, it would still barely power a small mining setup. for the sake of conversation lets say that i have already install them (i am not going to pay for that , there is a funding program running right now in my country that covers 85% of the cost installing solar panels on your homes aiming to have electric autonomy provided by EU) A single 3070Ti is a perfect fit for your setup, this GPU gives 82MH using 193watt in miner and 230watt from wall. to mine ethash algorithm? The most effective Asic miners takes more than 500watt from the wall, in your own case Asic is a bad idea, go for graphic cards, like RX6600XT, four pieces of this cards will give you 120MH using 240watt from wall, better than what @Takyeon suggested, 8x of 6600XT will use 500watt and you will get 240MH.. and what do you suggest to aim with 240MH/s? ethash or others? Ethereum still remains the most profitable coin to mine with graphic cards till this day, it's left for you to choose and there are other coins you can mine after Ethereum abandon proof of work probably by this August 2020.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash - 100% LHR Unlock

Has anyone tried Excavator standalone? I don't have a Windows rig with Ampere.
Some web sites are reporting the unlocker doesn't work on newer cards like the 3080 12GB suggesting LHR is continuing to be developped. What a fucking waste of development resources.
Any guesses what comes first Eth goes POS or Nvidia abandons LHR?
I can verify that it doesn't work with 3080 12GB. I've got a theory. The nvidia hack was real. The nvidia hack happened before the 3080 12GB data could be added to the data that was hacked. Therefor, no 3080 12GB code to unlock. Nicehash bought the data from the hackers (whatever the price might have been). And hence, Nicehack is born... they didn't really spend much resources in development. that's my story and i'm sticking to it. i'm trademarking NiceHack... Sounds likely.

Once a power supply dies is there anything I can fix inside to probably make it start working again? This power supply refuse to on again I thought it was my motherboard until I try another power supply in the motherboard and it works, I checked the dead power supply fuse with a meter but still intact.
Dont even try, power supply is very dangerous. This.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dual mining will save the day

If ETH 2.0 happens dual mining will save the day, ETH + ALPH is now more profitable than mining just ETH and also ETH+TON but once ETH is down we will see RVN+ ALPH and ERGO+TON just for example, I'm expecting this from Trex devs as they are capable to.
You won't see ERGO+TON as they're both core intensive.. 1 algo needs to be mem intensive and 1 core intensive for dual mining to work.

A new, promising, built from the ground-up ALT needs an AMD miner.. Recently gone CPU-GPU but only green miner available (and very slow green miner) Kaspa is a 1 second block POW coin, with an aim of 10 and 100/blocks/sec .. You can see the potential. Here's a snippet below: ''Kaspa is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency which implements the GHOSTDAG protocol. Unlike traditional blockchains, GHOSTDAG does not orphan blocks created in parallel, rather allows them to coexist and orders them in consensus. Whereby our blockchain is actually a blockDAG; you can see GHOSTDAG in action in a real time blockDAG visualizer). This generalization of Nakamoto consensus allows for secure operation while maintaining very high block rates (currently one block per second, aiming for 10/sec, dreaming of 100/sec) and minuscule confirmation times dominated by internet latency'' https://github.com/kaspanet/kaspadcheers
