1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite - NEW Thread | 1st mini-blockchain coin | Bounties! on: December 28, 2017, 12:06:12 AM
Hallo dev, is this Cryptonite project over? Are there plans for a second project? It may be possible to perfect the weakness of the project that has passed. Sorry, because I did not really follow the progress of this project.
As Pallas has said, Cryptonite has the lives of a cat.
Still has some lives left to go.

Give it time, patience is key.
Then go mad when the wallet opens...

if few of you profited on this scam think it right, you ppl are for reality check
Actually the world will be in for a reality check in the next couple of years with crypto-currencies.

But if you really want to talk about of a scam coin, Bitcoin Cash, especially with that Coinbase spike of up to $8k was it?

For something of a scam, I have done quite well with mining and trading.  I even trade on AEX, and they are offering some exchanges for the upcoming forks.
Just waiting for AEX to open the XCN, which I believe will happen.
Question is, will XCN return to its Sat value?
Dollar-wise looks like it will recover to its average of 3 cents; so far it has bounced back to 1 cent.

Hate the game, not the players, and learn to play the game.

From my understanding with the Airdrop...
Just need to have the coins (at least 10) in the wallet and that is it, at some point in time on Monday, the drop will transfer over, correct?
Or is something else needed?

I think Pallas is right, just have to wait it out.
BTC38 does provide the best exchange rate for XCN and I find it useful for daily mining operations or when I done with trying to find the 'new or must have' coin to mine.
As for trusting BTC38?
Given it does not ask for a passport, I find that useful; but I wouldn't keep thousands of dollars worth of currency there either.
I believe though it is fairly safe when dealing in the hundreds of dollars range.

You can try MaxMiners site and see if you have the same problem:
https://maxminers.net/xcn/
Can also use it as a backup site (or primary)

XCN back online on novaexchange! :-)
Indeed!
Though I do not see my XCN I sent there... may take some time to sync, or was lost.
But fortunately wasn't a large about.

xcn.suprnova.cc is up
May be experiencing the DDoS attack.
Give it some tries again

while lurking on reddit I stumbled on the link below saying we should avoid suprnova with proportional payment type as it is paying less?

https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6roz7s/psa_avoid_suprnova_pools/

would they really hop when the average pool block time is less than 2 minutes?
That is quite an interesting read about pool hoping.
Though I do agree not likely the case with SIGT, given its block time; which I believe has the best time for the blocks among all other pools for SIGT.

As with BTC38, freaking BTC wallet does not work either...

Well, this is wrong. because btc38, ATM, not work with xcn. so, you need to calculate with worked exchange - bter.com. after btc38 fix wallet, we can speech about xcn price in cny from btc38.com. no?
no body know, when btc38 admins can fix xcn wallet. may be months or, ... may be never.
That is true, it depends on when or if the wallet gets fixed there.
And also of how much of an impact the increase difficulty has with SIGT.
Miners may drop off, which may mean not a significant hit, and the price may continue to raise, especially if it gets listed at Bittrex.
But as SIGT's difficulty rises, XCN then may be better to switch back to; which hopefully the wallet would be repaired by then.
Though if BTC38 decides to drop the coin, then well, yes, BTER would have to be used.

I find XCN to be a good stand-by for mining.
As comparing SIGT to XCN... XCN does pay out a bit more than SIGT currently (with my systems; its XCN $68.87 vs SIGT $65.84).
However that said, SIGT seems it will go up some more, and thus have better value (and currently can be traded), until the difficulty rises, Block 30,000 I believe.
At which case, then XCN may be the better deal to mine on a daily basis.
Let see for HR and price:
my HR total:
13*gtx 1060 3gb, 1*gtx 1070 8gb.
for xcn: ~180mh/s. can mine ~2700xcn`s. current price = 295 sat`s(bter). 2700 * 0.00000295 = 0.007965 btc.
for sigt: ~240mh/s can mine ~ 800 sigt`s. current price = 1464 sat`s (cryptopia). 800 * 0.00001464 = 0.011712 btc.
so, how you calculate your profit?
XCN: ~140 Coins/Hr = 3360 Coins/Day * 0.1339 (XCN to CNY) / 20770 (CNY to BTC) = 0.021661242 BTC => @ $3,150 USD to BTC = $68.23
SIGT: ~ 57 Coins/Hr = 1368 Coins/Day * 0.0000146 (SIGT to BTC) = 0.0199728  BTC => @ $3,150 USD to BTC = $62.91

Note, this is using BTC38 (when it is working) and not Bter.
But yes, I would say at this time would be better to go with SIGT before the 30,000 block kicks in and the increase of difficulty.
Afterwards, depends on the price of SIGT, to determine which is better to mine (and when BTC38 is working properly).

Update:
Missed up originally with a 0.0000164 instead of 0.0000146 with SIGT to BTC.

And how can i know if I am already mining? there is no logs .

Hello!

Here is a detailed instruction about mining and how to mine:

https://blog.minecoin.org/here-is-detail-instruction-how-to-mine-7be0d91ef5f0

I have followed the instructions and have seen the CPU usage being high, thus it is processing.
However, after 24 hours no blocks were mined or coins earned (balance 0).
How long is it suppose to take on average to mine a block?
Using a server which gets about 500 KH/s with 16 threads.

Yeah I guess that is what it all means.
Along with the BTC wallet is out of commission currently.
So perhaps it has to due with the BCC fork.

Xevan is algo used as PoW by BitSend coin, as I know there's no publically avaliable CUDA miner for this one and decided to give it a try, original dev gave up on this, so CPU/OpenCL only for this time.

About me, ...  I've started working in Vimpelcom LTD as helpdesk specialist in B2B segment, ...

And here's where I'm now, hoping that one day I won't need to care how to feed my family with hard-earned money and just relax in some peaceful place  Cool
I'm quite sure your skills were definitely under utilized being in Help Desk. Glad you're out of it.
If you get to the point of testing/releasing a cuda miner for Xevan, I am quite interested.
