I cannot guarantee you that for now buying bitcoin is a very good idea. Why not start with free coins first? since you are still new to this industry. Why you should have to start as a free user? Simple because you still need to learn a lot of things and eventually a free user is the best thing to undergo in learning the process.
Buying Bitcoin always is a good idea. In long term the price will increase very much. It's a good idea to start to earn Bitcoin. But first invest the money you have in Bitcoin. You will not regret. Even the price decrease in a short time, Be sure that in long term, All bitcoin holders are winner.

Good afternoon. I've been facing a problem , my activity does not change anymore. According to the WAVES campaign bot: "Name: trplzr Start Posts: 46 Pay Per posts.: 0.00009 New Posts: 30 Excluded Posts: 8"
I think it's a bug, could anyone from the support take a look?
You can only get 1 activity a day No, It's not right. A user can get all 14 activity just in one day. But the activity won't be updated anymore since the next two-weeks period starts.

Distribution of tokens
For the participants of our bounty campaigns tokens will be distributed until 27/07/2017.
The tokens which were acquired during ICO sales are restricted to be transferred for a two months period of time.
Gilgam.es Team
In this way participants of bounty campaigns will be the only holders of Gilgames token. this will be cause this token lose their value fast as most of holders want to sell their tokens. I think it's a bad news for peoples have invested in ICO and also participants of bounty campaigns. That participants will make much lower profit than they had expected before joining to campaigns.

The private keys are derived from the passphrase of 12 words
My mnemonics on greenaddress contain 24 words !!!!! Is anything wrong? How can I know my private keys? If I know my private keys I gain access to my bitcoins outside greenaddress too. Am I right? Can anyone explain it to me? Regards. -- Not sure about that feature, but what I do with Blockchain and with GreenAddress is that I add a new BTC Address by importing a private key, and then sweep all the BTC to that address that I have the private key. So, step 1 is that I go to: https://bitaddress.org/And I generate a new BTC pair of public and private address (You can also do this via Bitcoin Core or Electrum that are my favorites) Step 2, you add the BTC address to Blockchain or GreenAddress via its private key. See here: https://greenaddress.it/en/faq.htmlCan I migrate from another wallet like blockchain.info? Can I sweep private keys into my wallet? Yes. From the Receive Money tab in our wallet applications, enter your private key and the coins will be swept into your wallet. I could not find a link for Blochain, but you go to Settings->Addresses -> + Import Address Now this new address is in the Blockchain / Green Address Wallet. Note that Step 2 is actually optional. You could just send the money to the new address, and since you have the private key, just go to step 3. Step 3, Sweep all the BTC from all the other Addresses to this new one. Step 4, and THE MOST IMPORTANT for me: Import the same address to Bitcoin Core or Electrum, and make sure to then send all the money to a NEW BTC ADDRESS! Since you already gave the first Private Key to Blockchain or GreenAddress... for me it is no longer 100% sure in case they "log" something. And in general... I know we want to have this BTC Address that will last "forever"... but it is a very good practice to generate a new BTC address now and then, and sweep all and just forget forever the old ones, just in case they are compromised. Hope this helps! Thank you for your kindly explanation. I tried it and it helped me very much. But still there are two issues. I generated new address on bitaddress.org, then I entered my private key into my wallet. I expected to see that address which was shown on bitaddress, on my greenaddress wallet too. But that not happened. If I give that address to somebody How will I receive bitcoins while that address does not exist in my wallet? Another issue is that I am afraid that bitaddress store the generated address and private key.

It is impossible for me to use desktop wallets, paper wallets and hardware wallets. I can only use web wallets. Till now I have stored my bitcoins on exchanges (I know that it is not safe) and I would like to move them. I have also used blockchain.info. I read some posts here, I understood that Blockchain.info is not safe too. Which online wallet do you recommend? GreenAddress, BitGo or any other? Is it better to store my bitcoins in two or more wallets, not only one? Really I don't know what should I do.
GreenAddress could be a very good choice and they already made a blog post regarding their standpoint for the upcoming changes that might occur. Using multiple wallets to store your bitcoins is mostly for keeping them safe for hackers so If a hacker for example reach your mobile device, he will only steal a portion since you have other bitcoins in paper, hardware wallets. If are planning to store them in multiple wallets simply for 1st august then that doesn't make much sense. Thanks for your recommendation. I created an account on Greenaddress. Now I have only some words called Mnemonic. Is it enough? Are these words that private keys that I should know?Till now I thought that transaction key contains some numbers.

You don't have to verify your email to use the forum and the password recovery using your email isn't working. (or wasn't the last time I saw, can't confirm right now).
There is no need to verify the email. But it is useful for receiving some notifications. You need it also for password recovery. There is ''forgot password'' option which I myself have used that.

Sorting posts by the time they started is really useful. I think at the top of posts list should be a option for sorting the posts by the time started. Now we are able to sort posts by subject or name of the starter user that aren't useful. sorting the posts by the time they created is more useful than sorting them by the name of the starter. I hope this to be added by moderators.

Ok,
my question is, how much coins you keep in wallet and how much on exchanges?
Is it like 50/50 or more like 90/10?
I have the same question, I have everything on my Bittrex wallet and I keep on reading people who recommend having an offline wallet... I don't know if it's that convenient. Is it unsafe to have it in the exchange? It is not safe. When you keep your bitcoins in an exchange, It is like that you have trusted to a person to keep your bitcoins and he can steal them easily. keeping coins in this way is convenient, but it's risky

You can search in google. It works very well. I myself always search in google when I want to find something in bitcointalk. There is also some options such as selecting a special user in this forum using ''SEARCH'' button at top of the page

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC 21million capacity (beginner inquiry)
|
on: June 29, 2017, 05:57:01 PM

Basically, miners are given a reward every time they mine a block, which is a big group of transactions. The reward began at 50 BTC, and a block is mined approximately every ten minutes.
Every 210,000 blocks (four years), the block reward cuts in half. So it begun at 50 BTC, then changed to 25 BTC, and as of 2016 it's 12.5 BTC.
The idea is that the amount of fiat money people dedicate to Bitcoin mining fluctuates around the Bitcoin price and block reward, and the network automatically adjusts how difficult it is to mine a block based on the amount of computing power dedicated to the network, so that there is still about one every ten minutes.
The cap will be reached around 2140, at which point mining rewards would be solely transaction fees.
As far as I know miners get transaction fees and generated bitcoins (correct me if I am wrong). If the number of bitcoins reach to 21 million, There will be no generated coins anymore. So the transaction fees will be increase as a compensation for generated coins that don't exist anymore. Am I right?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Sending Ethereum Token

Hi I want to send some RouletteTokens (RLT) from livecoin to myetherwallet. But there is no address for RouletteTokens in myetherwallet. Is it right that I should use ETH address? My concern is losing my fund.
Another question: I heard somewhere I should have some Ethereum in myetherwallet before sending any token to that. Is it right? If yes why? and how much is required?
Thanks

Most of wallets such as coinbase and blockchain change your address after every transaction. One of the reasons I know is your privacy. Because third-party cannot know your balance or your transactions history. Note that you can reuse the previous addresses for your payments.
