Wait, so you're telling me that the former Prime Minister of Denmark is an advisor? Is this even real?  Shocked

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The race to crypto regulation? Public and permissionless is still possible? on: August 05, 2020, 07:01:02 AM
Obviously banks are private so I doubt that they will allow public and permission less blockchain.
But I do agree that we need more privacy, it's just a matter of how you are going to protect it using blockchain. For one bitcoin has it's mixing services and conjoins and wasabi wallet.

As for Altcoin, there are privacy coins, Monero, Zcash so I don't know how are they going to address it. Or is Concordium going to build it's own public blockchain?

According to their website it does look like they are building their own public permissionless chain. Quite interesting how the developments are going to unfold.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Have you tested Concordium's ongoing Testnet 2? on: July 13, 2020, 10:47:15 PM
I have been following Concordium for over a month now. Early this month they released their Testnet 2. Concordium claims and even proves to be the next-generation blockchain for enterprises and the first with user ID verification built-in at the protocol level, has released its Public Testnet 2 and an updated White Paper. Thier Testnet 1 was released In early April 2020.

They are currently working hard on the implementations of the specifications coming out from Concordium's new scientific research around protocols in P2P, Consensus, Finalization, Cryptography and Smart Contracts.
The Testnet is a grounds for continuous deployment of Concordium's latest work, where simulations and diagnostics are run to help qualify and further tune the implementations.

They have a Concordium Network Dashboard (https://dashboard.testnet.concordium.com/ ) that provides a live overview of nodes, consensus, finalization and performance metrics.

Their Testnet documentation is available at : https://developers.concordium.com/testnet/docs

You can do it, your English is good and your construction of words and how you picked the subject is excellent you will go a long way if you have a good content ranking it in the search engine will not be that hard, with your blog you can also participate in bounty campaign or do sponsor posts related to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency, your imagination is the limit.
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement sir. It's become hard to find such encouragement these days especially on Bitcointalk. Much power to you  Smiley

Hi I am the owner of www.bitcoinprivilege.com. Initially I had plans of selling this domain. Later I have changed my mind because I see that it can turn into a legendary business. I was wondering if anyone from this classic and legendary forum wants to partner with me and help develop this "project".

Doing this the old fashioned way. All I need are skills, and tell me why you want to get involved and how you'd like to help. I plan to build a rock solid team and make this a big movement.

What your motivation buying this name I can consider it a good domain considering that it has the word Bitcoin there, it's hard to acquire a top-level domain with the word Bitcoin on it, going back to my question what is the motivation behind that word privilege, you could blog about the advantages and privileges of investing and holding Bitcoin, your content should be related to what is in the domain name, like Bitcointalk forum it's all about talk about Bitcoin.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will take your suggestion and write a blogpost to show my understanding of Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin is truly a privilege in the current world we live in. Our traditional financial system is hacked and broken. Satoshi was a true visionary to have seen this during the 2008 Financial recession. Occupy Wallstreet movement has been forgotten. Protests happen and after sometime they are forgotten, not necessarily because we want to forget them, its mainly because we are enslaved by the very system created by the ones who hold the reigns to the current broken, hacked financial system.

In hopeless and dark times like these, I think I think the common man at least had the privilege to dream, privilege for freedom. And it was all possible through bitcoin's existence. Hence, Bitcoin Privilege was the name I chose after hours of deep pondering about our enslaved system.

I want this privilege to be spread far and wide. For people to realize we have an option. A true privilege. Enough with that "Blockchain, not Bitcoin" bullshit.

It's a long battle and there will be many attempts to takeover this revolution. We already see how the banksters and institutions have tried taking our BTC away. But then it's truly for the masses that Satoshi really created this privilege.

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

Bottom line you have a not so special domain, no ideas, probably zero experience and....did I miss something or that's all?  Grin
You're offering a partnership in a business where the partner has to come with a business idea?

That would be unfair if you know nothing about business or project give it to people who knows and just join these people who has idea, if they will accept, you should be the one applying not the way around.

Hahaha! I like your sense of humour. I am probably bad at putting my thought into words. Apologies if I am not conveying my ideas clearly. I have an idea, but I think it might not be the best idea. Just trying to brainstorm and see what the possibilities could be.

It's like you are unemployed and you need a job and calling all employers to come out here and give the job that you can do that they can offer
 Cheesy

Honestly speaking now that you put it that way, it does  make me feel unemployed!  Grin I guess all entrepreneurs start off "unemployed". But an entrepreneur is also the most hardworking employee in his venture. Likewise, I am willing to be the most hardworking employee, if someone else wants to take over the drivers seat as well.

I think ideas are really important and good ideas can be pursued only with an open mind.

If I do not get anyone who wants to brainstorm, I should perhaps consider moving ahead. I felt asking here would be the most organic approach.

Initially I had plans of selling this domain. Later I have changed my mind because I see that it can turn into a legendary business.

You can start by being sincere, like, you didn't sell it because nobody was interested in it.  Grin

But you have seen how you can turn this domain into a serious business but at the same time:
Havent really locked in fully on an idea yet.

I have been sincere, and hence I mentioned in my post that I had plans of selling the domain. I'd continue to try and sell the domain if I dint change my mind. Yes, I did try selling the domain earlier. If I was so keen upon selling it I would continue to pursue it on other platforms.  I am have hit an idea block at the moment and hence, reached out to the community to see if anyone has something interesting.

As mentioned earlier in the previous post I was thinking of making www.bitcoinprivilege.com a Bitcoin Privilege Club just like the Visa and Mastercard Privilege clubs which would incentivize Bitcoin payments and adoption through the world. But I'm sure there maybe better ideas. And hence willing to offer a partnership if someone really has a nice idea. I mentioned that to only show that I have an open mind to be a minority stake holder too, if someone comes up with a real good idea that can help serve the community. I believe we cannot sit and wait for institutions or keep shitposting on forums and twitter hoping that institutions will do the magic or for "whales" to come make markets. I genuinely want to contribute to the ecosystem and hence thought of doing this the most organic way possible.  Smiley

Hope this clarifies my intentions.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Can I implement a Dpos mechanism on ERC20 tokens? on: April 25, 2019, 02:25:38 PM
I have been thinking of creating an ERC20 standard token for token generation event, and eventually move to a mainnet.

Let's assume I want to implement a DpoS consensus mechanism for my project. I initially want to have a circulating supply of 1 Billion which will then increase to 2 Billion over the course of time. The consensus mechanism being Dpos.

So can I implement Dpos before mainnet launch so that delegates can benefit by staking tokens when the tokens are still in ERC20 format which can be later swapped for a 1:1 at mainnet launch ( includes the staked tokens ).

Or would I have to switch to mainnet to implement any consensus mechanism? Does that mean the supply cannot increase ( no staking mechanism )  after creating ERC20 token?

Please help.

Have been thinking of getting in this project since too long, but the fact that it is only listed on Poloniex ( which is now a dead beast ) worries me. Havent even heard of Tokok, so wouldn't risk going there. How is this project doing with respect to development? Is the community strong. Please help me make up my mind.

Hi, exciting times and exciting project. Can you please clarify a few things before I invest: Grin

I was planning to invest BTC in SPC as Space is something I am excited about, but I could not find any information regarding a few queries. Can you please help me make my decisions quick.

1. Out of the total supply of 1,000,000,000 SPC only 514,991,707 SPC is in circulation. Where is the remaining 485,008,293 SPC held and by whom??

2.  The average lifespan of a LEO satellite is approximately 5 years, and the bandwidth speed of LEO satellite is bad, how can you host data intensive applications if bandwidth is low? Do you have a plan to replace the existing satellites after their lifespan ends?

3. Can you update with what happened to the ETH that was collected in private sale? Can we know how much has been spent and how it has been used so far, almost all big projects are clear about this. There are projects who just take money and then do cash burn after raising money, I hope SpaceChain is doing great things, because space business needs lots of money.

4. Who are the Engineers working on the project? The website talks about only 3 team members, CEO,CTO, CMO.

5.  Does SpaceChain Foundation hold any tokens? Is there a blockchain address where it can be tracked?

6. What was the private sale price and IEO Price?

7. Does CTO Jeff Garzik have any experience with the Space Industry? Or is there another Space Engineer/Scientist who has expertise in Space Industry and JGarzik just helps with Blockchain?

Hi, Sorry for the delay. Here are the answers to your questions...

1. Out of the total supply of 1,000,000,000 SPC only 514,991,707 SPC is in circulation. Where is the remaining 485,008,293 SPC held and by whom??

The remaining tokens are kept by SpaceChain for various needs including future reserves, key partners, talent acquisition, and building space and blockchain ecosystem.

2.  The average lifespan of a LEO satellite is approximately 5 years, and the bandwidth speed of LEO satellite is bad, how can you host data intensive applications if bandwidth is low? Do you have a plan to replace the existing satellites after their lifespan ends?

We are working on it. There are many existing LEO-GEO connection solutions that can potentially solve the bandwidth and frequency issue, but we are at an early stage of development.

3. Can you update with what happened to the ETH that was collected in private sale? Can we know how much has been spent and how it has been used so far, almost all big projects are clear about this. There are projects who just take money and then do cash burn after raising money, I hope SpaceChain is doing great things, because space business needs lots of money.

The ETH that was collected is used for funding our business operations. We are well aware that a space business requires significant funding.

4. Who are the Engineers working on the project? The website talks about only 3 team members, CEO, CTO, CMO.

We have more than 20 people working on our project and another 20 engineers who are contributing to the development of SpaceChain’s hardware and software.

5.  Does SpaceChain Foundation hold any tokens? Is there a blockchain address where it can be tracked?

The Foundation holds the remaining 485,008,293 SPC.

6. What was the private sale price and IEO Price?

We cannot disclose the private sale price as we have non-disclosure agreements with the investors who took part.

7. Does CTO Jeff Garzik have any experience with the Space Industry? Or is there another Space Engineer/Scientist who has expertise in Space Industry and JGarzik just helps with Blockchain?

Jeff Garzik has been an integral part of the initial SPC design in regards to satellite payloads and architecture of SpaceChain OS.  Additionally, he also provided the foundational architecture for the decentralized space constellation and the “data center in space” API and architecture. He has experience with the space and blockchain industry. But we also have a lead engineer who has expertise in space industry as well as advisors who are experts in the aerospace field.

Thank you so much for your prompt response.

1. So basically the SpaceChain foundation holds close to 48.5% in Premine SPC tokens.

2. How can we follow/contribute the technical developments of the projects? Do you have a Github repository/ code repository that is updated frequently? Is the development open to all so that developers can contribute?

3. Yes, Space Business can be very expensive. Can the Foundation can us a transparent outlook on how much has been spent so far and on what things the money has been spent so that we can get a clear view of the progress made so far?

4. It is great to know that so many engineers are at work. Where can we interact with the developers and engineers? What are their names and achievements so far? Behind every great project there are great minds, I am sure SpaceChain might have some brilliant people in the industry working on it.

5. Can you please provide the blockchain address of SpaceChain foundation so that we can track 485,008,293 SPC?

6. Understandable about the private sale price, what about the IEO price at which it was offered to the public?

7. Jeff is a great guy and has been there since a longtime i the blockchain space. Can we have more information on the lead engineer who helps in Space Technology related activities? Where can we interact with the lead engineer and his team?

Thanks so much for your earlier responses. Sorry for the many questions I ask, I could not find much information on the website or anywhere else, hence I chose to ask these for clarity.
