1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: April 07, 2014, 12:21:30 PM
Greetings,

It has been pointed out we haven't addressed this thread on our upcoming announcement.  You will want to be following @cmshindi for the news as it breaks.  Our community is headed up by @cmshindi and myself.  We do not typically hang out on BitcoinTalk, instead we typically hang out on nobs.is/zbad305.

Twitter has been on fire with #Zetacoin for a few days as many hints have been given by @TConspiracyChef over the weekend.  Many people believe they've solved the mystery, but they will have to wait until Wednesday for more information that should spell it out.  Feel free to read the thread, twitter search #zetacoin or #zetaguess and try to solve the mystery yourself.

Suffice to say, I am not going to divulge any information in this post, I just didn't want to leave you guys out as this community has played an instrumental role in the development of Bitcoin and in getting cryptocurrency to this point. For that, we are all very grateful.

Thank you for your time,

BitcoinSachs
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is the deal with Zetacoin? Why are they so passionate? on: March 27, 2014, 09:37:54 AM
Zetacoin has been built up for six months by a community dedicated to perfection and real world adoption.  Zetacoin is 20 times faster than Bitcoin to process transactions and can handle nearly 100 times more transaction volume per minute.  Zetacoin has 160 million coins and growing compared to the deflationary 21 million Bitcoins that will ever exist.  Zetacoin is much better suited to be used as a currency due to price, quantity and speed than the considerably higher priced Bitcoin that’s clunky and slow.  We have proven our resolve  in working towards sustainable growth instead of taking the easy payday by manipulating our prices.  We have a sustained 300% increase in value over our six months, and we are preparing our first ambitious project the Zetacoin App for the Google Play store.  We have two dozen businesses over four continents already awaiting the release for real world adoption.  Zetacoin is the answer to what will finally replace cash in our pockets.

We are going to be a big part of the Bitcoin Conference in Texas this week.  If you're going to be there, you'll notice a Zetacoin presence.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MUST READ article on our bitcoin future on: February 19, 2014, 12:07:29 PM
There's no such thing as "perfectly written" when the article is completely out of touch with reality, unless you're evaluating it as a work of fiction.

You can't just make shit up and expect to be taken seriously when we've got objectively measurable standards to compare to.

You say Bitcoin has existential flaws that are hindering its adoption?

Prove it.

There are lots of things we can objectively measure in the Bitcoin network - number of wallet client downloads, blockchain.info wallet users, transactions on the network, etc.

Oh, so all those metrics are still increasing exponentially, consistent with an adoption curve that apparently doesn't give a shit about your pet concern? No wonder all you've got is rhetoric instead of evidence.

::Sigh::  Alright, so here is a project for you.  Close BitcoinTalk and GitHub for 5 minutes.  There is a world out there with people in it.  I know, IRL. It's crazy.  Careful, the sun is bright.  All those people you see, that's our ideal market, you know, mass adoption.  What you'll want to do is realize the demographics on Bitcoin (metrics) hold up my argument that 28 years old, college education, white males are 80%+ of the current Bitcoin demographic.  When BTCFoundation tweets a chart of the women in crypto and they ALL easily fit on it because there are 40 of them, something is wrong.  No one questioned the protocol.  My new concern is how defensive you became because someone asked some questions you don't have answers for. Questions that requires you to get out of your office area and contemplate.   It's posts like this that gives articles like that the support.  Out of touch.  Fight it, deny it, anything but take ownership and provide leadership.

Bravo.

This.  This 1000x.  We can change and make bitcoin better.

http://www.bitcoinsachs.us/editorials/we-need-to-talk/

While I don't disagree with anything in the article it is simply a restating of what is "wrong" with the crypto-currency movement without any agenda or plan to improve it. There author says there should be more focus on education.  Ok.  I don't think many people will argue with that.  So what is the authors plan?  Is this article the launching of the first in a twenty part education video aimed at crypto-currency novices? No.  The author proposes and has done nothing to provide education.

On the other hand you have people like Andreas who simply decided (without the need for self aggrandizing speech about what is wrong) to start actually ... educating people.

One article, one podcast, and one tv appearance at a time.  His large number of podcasts and articles got him invited to speak at conferences and that has led to media outlets asking him to speak on the air.

Most recently:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ1yWihBNA4

I will take one Andreas over 100,000 articles linked in the OP.  Did the author in the article forget about people like Andreas or was it just not convenient to the narrative, which paraphrased is "Bitcoin sucks and only I can see it"?

Ordinarily I don't respond to anything on this site, but this one will get a response.  You're wrong on every level.  I've created the Gender Equality Think Tank, CCWG (cryptocurrency Working Group) for the leaders and developers of all coins to get together share ideas, grow community, and to work together.  I've been working with BitcoinWife on educational ideas along with many lengthy conversations on Twitter about education for children, elderly, and ways to interact and grow adoption across socioeconomical boundaries not to mention on Zetacoin.cc we've been creating tutorials on how to use CoinBase, and Bter, along with a few other exchanges.  I am sure you mean't well, and you were not trying to be an obnoxious self-serving dickwad talking about what you know nothing about.  I know you were trying to suggest that I should write another article detailing out all the plans to fix these things, because you know, all of that responsibility lands solely on my shoulders and naturally, not yours.

Andreas, a friend of mine. Funny you should mention him.  He was mentioned in my article, you know, the guy out there antagonizing the United States government at every turn and every time a microphone is put in front of his face.  Yea, touched on that.  We're not even going to discuss his inability to talk to the people instead of over the people.  I love him to death and he is a genius, but if the average person has no idea what you're saying because you choose to only use words and phrases that you have to come back to explain, it's more self-serving than educational.  You have to know who your audience is.  The audience used to be the people who understand monotone heady computer science lectures, that's no longer the case.  One must adapt, that's his next challenge.

Also kind of funny the narrative of your post, probably by accident is "this article sucks and only I can see that it didn't come with the answers and now I have to think which is inconvenient"

This is reason #3,281 why I don't hangout on this site.  Too many trolls.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Calling ALL altcoins leader, creators, devs on: February 05, 2014, 11:15:27 AM
I have just created a group called CCWG or Crypto-Currency Working Group which will act similar to the United Nations in that every coin should be represented and we can talk and discuss things while leaving all our bullshit at the door.  Ultimately, the goal is mass adoption, bigger pie which makes our cut of it that much nicer.  I ask that everyone take part, talk to the head people at each coin.  Let's get the conversation moving.  This started on Twitter and there was a lot of positive feedback and enthusiasm.

We are needing assistance with the Zetacoin-J

The person who contributes the most to helping us complete this project gets 30k Zetacoins.

Yes, this is a ZBAD305 project.  We need this completed by end of the month.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Zetacoin Android Wallet Announcement on: January 14, 2014, 11:09:44 AM
On Feb. 12th we will be released our Android wallet at the Bitcoin Asia Conference in Manila.  While it's true other coins may have beat us to the market with their app, only Litecoin will have us matched on what we're about to do with it.  We focus on real-world application and adoption.  Shortly after it's release, multiple businesses will be accepting it around the world.

Unlike the announcement of Zetorg, this is coming from the ZBAD305 community. This is coming with a teaser video instead of still screenshots.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: January 13, 2014, 06:18:13 AM
We built a new website to replace the so-called 'official' website.  http://zetacoin.cc has the mining information, spec info, and the wallets are located at the bottom of the homepage.

You can see a whole new community http://nobs.is/zbad305 for the Zetacoin Builders Association District 305.

Twitter Accounts:  @zetacoincc @zbad305 @bitcoinsachs

There are a ton of new projects coming down the pipe starting off in the next week or so.  Our group formed Dec. 8th 2013, and we've already finished a handful of smaller projects and are now preparing the release of bigger projects.  Unlike Zetorg, our products have a high production quality to them and they are backed by a known community you can depend on that's not going anywhere.

Expect a teaser video of a new project sometime this week,  I'll be back here to announce it.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Zetacoin wallet for Android - Build on: January 03, 2014, 04:49:50 AM
We are in the process of starting the build on this.  We could use all the contributors we can get our hands on.  The last thing we want is a wallet with a bunch of flaws and someone to get their money stolen or lost.  I am not the greatest of developers so I post this build here and hope someone is wanting to help a create young community do more than hype and pump & dump.

Thanks.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zetacoin - and it's community the ZBAD305 on: January 02, 2014, 09:20:04 AM
I appreciate you guys checking us out.  Since I have posted, we have had a nice uptick of visitors and signups.  Very cool.  I think there are a lot of people out there ready for a real community and to be done with the nonsense.  We are in the process of building a wallet app for Android.  Any developers - we'd love to have you!!

We already have a handful of brick and mortar businesses on-board with taking Zetacoin as soon as the wallet is launched.  We have a lot of very big plans, and the connections and dedication to make them successful.

I will point out I can be a little brash and I favor being interesting over walking the politically correct corporate line. I don't mean anything by it, just the way I am.

Welcome to Zbad!
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zetacoin - and it's community the ZBAD305 on: January 01, 2014, 07:09:09 AM
There are miners in our group, but the focus of what we are doing isn't necessarily mining or rig building.  We are a community that is building infrastructure for Zetacoin.  We just launched for new website http://zetacoin.cc with it a tutorial on how to buy altcoins (CoinBase to Bter) and we'll have more of those on the way.  Next project is building an Zetacoin wallet Android app, and we are working towards building our own payment gateway.

Instead of Zetacoin or ZBAD305 being setup like other coins as businesses.  We are in the process of becoming a non-profit organization legal in the United States.  The money we raise from our ventures will go back into the community to fund new projects and continue growing infrastructure, products and services.  The monumental shift with what we are doing is moving away from trying to make a quick buck on everything we do at the expense of the community.  We are going to forgo the quick dollars to bring in real substance and infrastructure.

Litecoin has almost two years on us.  WorldCoin has 7 months of development on us.  We are not even a month old and we are already start to tackle problems and infrastructure 96% of other coins haven't even made an attempt at.

Can can you learn from us?  Not entirely sure there is a good specific answer aside from what a coin looks like that's going to last through the Summer when all these other coins die.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Zetacoin - and it's community the ZBAD305 on: December 31, 2013, 07:27:52 AM
Greetings,

I haven't been a main fixture in the forums so you guys may be less aware of me.  I have been much more active on Reddit, NoBS.is, Twitter, and writing about Bitcoin and Altcoins on my website.  I am the reclusive leader of the ZBAD305 (Zetacoin builders association district 305.)  I thought the best thing we could do is find a way to align everyone's self interest with a community interest.  Our goals are all the same.  We want the price to go and make money.  Many altcoins decide the best way to do that is hype, PR, paid ads and more hype.  Our philosophy is in stark contrast to that.  We believe that you build a foundation and then infrastructure before you start pushing the coin.  We believe that you don't hype a name and logo because that's senseless and is a mere temporary solution that will ultimately see the price return to it's previous stare or lower. (See Quark)

Our belief is that you only promote completed projects.  You promote services and products.  You promote completed infrastructure gains.  That's how you build a long-term sustainable coin.  You hear a lot of coins talking about "Going to the moon."  It's funny because they are trying to reach the Moon with a Bottle Rocket.  We are building a spaceship.  It's not built over night.  It's not built in a hurry.  It's not built without a lot of thought, hard work and care of a lot of very intelligent people.  Thomas Edison said that opportunity is missed by most people because it's wearing overalls and looks a lot like work.  I believe he was right.  We are a group of people who love overalls and hard work.

If you're tired of the schemes, scamcoins, pump and dumps and the rest of the bullshit out there you might consider giving us a look.  I realize we are not for everyone.  We tend to react swiftly to those who come in and try to manipulate the price or organize any sort of shady activity.  We are looking for smart people who want to build something amazing.  We are looking for people who want to be working with the same group of people in a year or two years after multiple completed projects.  We are looking for people who want to join a international family/fraternity of people who will support each other, work their asses off for each other and not bail for a quick dollar.  If that sounds like something you're interested in, we are looking for you.

I am tired of all the schemes, scams, and cons.  I know a lot of people were skeptical about my group when we first came about.  Now we are finishing our first round of projects, we've raised funds to complete the 2nd round, we're meeting with VC, Angels for bigger projects, and I have been taking meetings with Congressmen and NPO heads about what we can do.  When all these other coins are long dead and toxic wastelands, we'll be marching right along.  We might not climb 3,000% in a day, we will be competing with Litecoin and Bitcoin by end of this year.

Alright so I have to complete this step to get where I need to be to do what I need to do.  I might as well make this as productive as possible. I have created a group called ZBAD305 you can find us on twitter and nobs.is   Basically, we have created a community that works together out of self-interest that aligns with community interest.  We are developing real world applications for Zetacoin.  We are about 140 strong, we have an art department and some developers.  We are working to gain more developers which is mainly why I am here.  We have a lot of crazy projects upcoming and we need to branch out.
