Maybe a little bit off topic, but still relevant somehow: today I was watching documentary Inside Job https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1645089/ I do not know if any of you have seen it or not, but I would highly recommend watching it. It is about the last financial crisis and the corruption in the financial "industry". I always know it is present, but the level of corruption that is revealed in the documentary was beyond me  And also how high it reaches, and that even SEC is not immune to it. After watching it you will have even more reasons not to trust banks  That is also one of the reasons why cryptocurrency is so important and MUST play even bigger role in the future. |

In that way you can avoid many disappointments. A little bit of patience can be really rewarding, not only in everyday life but also in the crypto. You just have to find the good coin with reliable and trustworthy team behind it...DNotes is really good example of all that Great observation Amadeus, there certainly was a lot of fast and loose money in our industry as projects shot into the stratosphere with little more than hype and a promise. I think there are 3 key components that led to this exuberance of investing in this space. 1) It's very easy to see what a revolution bitcoin and blockchain has introduced to the world and its potential. 2) Many people feel excluded from real world exciting investments, early high risk high reward investments, but not in our industry, literally anyone can participate. 3) Many believe in the premise and stand behind what the technology can do for society. Couple that with the fact that the barrier for entry into this industry are very low and anyone can make any claim, regardless of if they can or intend to fulfill those claims, and what we wound up with is what I would describe as multiple parabolic waves of investment from disenfranchised people who believe in what cryptocurrency and blockchain has to offer in hopes of breaking through their own financial barriers. The crypto wave and ICO wave are the most obvious and there may be many more to come. Right now, I think people have wised up and the initial ICO craze is slowing down as people are starting to look for projects of real substance. There are probably many more waves to come, but I think they will be more focused on substantial and trusted projects and even new use cases from established and trusted companies. This is where DNotes will shine and we feel like now is the time for DNotes and DNotes Global to begin to play a leading role in the industry. DNotes is not about hype and get rich quick, it's about building an inclusive digital currency for use in global commerce that everyone can benefit from. It is our hope that many people will join us in this still early phase while DNotes is what I would call still well undervalued in comparison to our industry. It will take a good deal of research to differentiate DNotes from our competitors and see what really makes us unique, but I am confident most people who spend the time will get really excited about what we are doing. There is much more to cover on this topic but I'll end here for now. Slowly there is coming more accountability in the industry, with more people closely scrutinizing projects, cryptocurrencies, and exchanges as we begin to mature from the the speculative/casino phase of cryptocurrency where coins have been able to skyrocket with valuations in the hundreds of millions from just a whitepaper, completely disconnected to any intrinsic value, and towards what I believe a model where valuations are more in line with real network growth and earnings in the underlying businesses. With people rushing towards this model, it will definitely curb a lot of the potential gains that can be made in most crypto, however the shift will likely make valuations of cryptocurrencies / businesses much easier, probably making them much more stable, and thus allowing investor confidence and sustainable growth. DNotes was one of the first, if not the first to decide to combine the benefits of both aspects into one coin, having the network effect growth potential of a cryptocurrency, with the respectability, sustainability, and stability that comes from the support and ownership structure of a separate company. Our messaging has been consistent since day one and we have always been realistic when it comes to forward-looking projections. Together (but not limited to), these have earned us a trusted reputation among those who know of us that is nigh almost of in our industry. I really appreciate your answers and hard work behind DNotes. I absolutely agree that DNotes are at the time very undervalued in comparison to many other coins out there. I have been following the monaco project for a long time. team promised cards last summer.. and now, when more one year passed they dont have cards. can we expect cards until the end of 2018? Seriously, you could have fallen asleep for a year and come back and you would have literally missed nothing except a new website/expensive domain name, the 'team' going on holidays (I mean conferences) and some financial tool features that no one was asking for or expecting from the ICO (crypto invest). It's like you raise money to start a restaurant, and you buy a car dealership. That's what some of these updates are like. Someone is jumping ship selling all of their DNotes. Killing the price.
That's one among many possibilities. A lot of the markets have taken a beating recently.  I won't speculate as to why, ultimately every daily price movement is a pebble on the track and our train isn't going to slow down for it. I also noticed that all of the coins have taken a big hit. I always wonder why is that when something like that happen and sometimes reason is obvious, but this time it was not so clear, at least to me. Considering that DNotes is working on the long run I think that temporary price drop like that should be no big issue. It could also be opportunity to buy some more at cheaper price |

Indeed, we have a lot going on, with workstreams being ticked off one-by-one, and new tasks and projects being created. It keeps us all pretty busy. Alan is very focused on funding and his upcoming presentation at the Emerge conference in Austin. It's always great to achieve milestones, looking back at how far you've come, and then thinking forward to how many more things are to be achieved -- and at an ever increasing speed in line with available resources.
DNotes is a highly ambitious project, and the last several years has been setting us up with a strong foundation for what it is follow.

I am also given 15 minutes to pitch DNotes Global's funding campaign using Reg. D 506 (c). Our industry is changing rapidly with more people everyday in agreement with our vision of building a trusted inclusive digital currency - doing the right thing, at the right time, the right way. Very nice I think that events like that are really good ways to promote DNotes. I hope that in the future there will be even more opportunities like this They are normally crazy expensive. TenCapital is also assisting us in a major campaign to their list of accredited investors. So this is a package deal and working out great for us. Having the credibility and substance certainly helps. Alan I have heard that they are usually very pricey yes  But maybe In the future with successful funding we could afford to speak at more events like this or even host some similar event I'm working in different field of work (occupational safety and personal protective equipment) and in my field of work organisers sometimes even pay my company if I go and speak at some event, or at least they offer us free promotion if someone would speak at their event. So situation here is just reverse of that in crypto and financial events I guess |

In the light of wallet maintenance on Stocks.Exchange (STEX) I was wondering...was anyone in contact with Cryptopia lately? Since they already promised listing and then changed their mind, maybe they would be willing to reconsider and list DNotes afterall? Stocks Exchange just one of their reports isn't reporting correctly; withdrawals, deposits, and trading are fine. Listing on Cryptopia is about $45,000 currently. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinListings. That aside, Cryptopia is in the same relative range of volume and traffic as our current exchanges. So it would be very difficult to justify. To clarify, here is what happened with Cryptopia, because it's not really true that they just changed their mind. We were listed on Cryptopia, we got in touch with them and advised them we would be swapping our blockchain. They told us we had to go through the process as if we were a new coin, they worked with us and accepted our money and told us it would be listed 30 days after the delisting of legacy DNotes. This would be roughly 30 days after our re-launch and the start of DNotes 2.0, and although not ideal, we still figured it was our best bet at the moment. So 3 days before the listing, they told us they had a new process where legal has to review to see if it's a "Financial Product" according to the New Zealand laws. So they delayed a few times, and eventually sent us back our money because their opinion is that we are a "financial product". We took a massive hit in terms of momentum with the launch of DNotes 2.0 and tied up funds we could have used for getting DNotes listed elsewhere. I have seen the situation about ICOs which you are describing so many times now, that I stopped counting About a year ago where whole market was growing rapidly there was an explosion of ICOs and everybody was talking about them. I have been monitoring the progress of some and I must say that many of them are already dead and most of the rest are also on that path In many instances the teams are not even posting or responding on Twitter, Bitcoin form or other social platforms anymore...and on the Telegram groups of those coins, there is just a bunch of desperate people asking the same question "when moon?" all over again Seeing all that I appreciate the DNotes and the team behind it even more I'm sure that in time more and more people will realize the quality of your work and why you are different from most of the "when moon?" coins out there... |

Indeed, it has always been our focus to build value into our ecosystem, rather than hope that speculative traders can propel DNotes forward. We have a lot going on that will certainly add significant value to our ecosystem. Once value has been created, this is the juncture that people begin to realize that you are onto something special, and prices may begin to closer reflect that increased value and be much more likely to be sustainable at that level.
