Also is there a way to know history of transactions? For example, say I want to know how I lost money. Is it in difference of exchange rate, is it in this or that? Have my partner withdraw coins or not, etc.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to flash custom rom to card? on: March 27, 2017, 04:20:58 PM
I see. I read that we have to go through signature check. Latter I read that RX 480 latest driver no longer require signature check.

What should I currently do with signature check?

What is doing signature check? Windows or RX 480 driver?

miningpool charge a small fee of .9%. It doesn't use pay per share but something else.

Where can I learn more about that something else

miningpoolhub uses PPLNS.

So you are using PPLNS

What is N?

Is it constant no matter what difficulty is or is it always 1/2difficulty?

In other word do we get more share if we mine when difficulty is low (as it should be?)

N is dynamic value gathered average of last few blocks.
It is sum of total shares that will be calculated for certain block. It is not related to difficulty actually.

You would find more info from http://give-me-coins.com/support/faq/what-is-pplns/

Yeah you should get more when difficulty is low. PPLNS works as expected, in common sense.
It's the most smart way to distribute rewards these days.

The link that you gave me says:
Quote
The number N is currently for each blockchain twice the difficulty (actually rounded down to an easy to calculate integer value).

Basically I want to know whether the number of price you're displaying in miningpoolhub is a reflection of how much I will be making if I buy hash from nice hash and sell it to you. It is possible that difficulty is actually high.

However, because you just got tons of coins the number you display in front page of miningpoolhub is also high as if you're paying high.

My math shows that I earn 70% profit. Yet after everything is exchanged to BTC I am at a lost.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to flash custom rom to card? on: March 26, 2017, 01:17:29 AM
I saw this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1584617.new#new

And I am interested.

I just wonder what to do. It's too long.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX480 (Reference) 31+Mh, Custom Rom on: March 26, 2017, 01:10:24 AM
I see the Op post a bunch of .rom file in zip. Which one I should use? What tools I should use to install the rom? Should I change the driver too?
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I used RX 480 and got only 24MB/s rate on: March 26, 2017, 12:58:28 AM
So I should increase memory clock memory and then update bios. How do I update bios?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1584617.new#new This looks very interesting. Lower power consumption and yet higher hash rate.

There's a bunch of .rom files. I do not know which one to use.

I find it very strange. It seems that every time I use multipool miner it does it's own benchmark.

Then irrelevant of the benchmark result it will try to use dual claymore ethereum sia

See there is a writing that multipoolminer is 0% (sometimes 2%) more profitable than Claymore. And yet the program run Bin\Ethash-Claymore nevertheless.

How do I change -algorithm cryptonight,ethash,equihash,lyra2z so that multipoolminer would seek more algorithm

Also why you name the software multipoolminer? I mean your site is miningpoolhub.com Is this related to multipoolminer.com or what?
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner for ZPOOL on: March 26, 2017, 12:43:55 AM
i hope all people mining on zpool are aware of the 20% income stealing?

read the last 10 pages or so of the original zpool ann, which is now closed, if in doubt

That too.  Sad

What stealing? Also what is tdp?
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Miningpoolhub vs nicehash miner. Which one is better? on: March 25, 2017, 11:54:08 PM
Did anyone tried and test this and see which one earn more for RX 480?

The nicehash seems to be able to switch to better algo more quickly. The miningpoolhub miner seems to scan once and stick.

Anyone tried and see which one is better?

I think  a multi algo switch program need to do these

1. Benchmark once. That's because how capable a card for each algorithm do not change over time. Nicehash do this. Miningpoolhub miner seems to do this every time we start. If we benchmark every time we want to switch it'll take a long time.
2. A pool or a miner will know which algo to switch too. That's because the pool can check the difficulty, the price, and the reward of each coins. I am not sure miningpoolhub miner do this. I know nicehash did.
3. I want low fee. Miningpoolhub took only .9 percent. Nicehash took 3% from buyers and 3% from sellers.
4. Dual mining claymore. Miningpoolhub does this but nicehash don't.

So I wonder if there is any other multi algo switch that switch a lot and do all 4

What's the number in bracket?

Also it'll be very useful to have some estimate on btc value on each alt coins.

Another thing I am curious about is why price at mining pool hub fluctuate more widely than price at say, whattomine.com?

I know coin price fluctuates. I also know difficulty fluctuates. It seems that there is something miningpoolhub takes into account that whattomine.com doesn't.

I think that something is luck. If miningpoolhub just found a coin the price go up because miningpoolhub is being lucky. How much that luck affect people that buy tons of hash after that is a bit more mathematically involved.

Yeah luck is included.
But it seems a bit different what we are talking about. The luck that miningpoolhub concerns is overall all time luck. It is nearly 95~105% like thing so it doesn't fluctuate.
This is included because some coins which have PoS, does not work ideally to PoW difficulty target. As PoS blocks intercept continually their PoW block finding may be a bit different from normal formula in theory.
Also block finding probability can be dependant on block time length. Some fast coins have network overhead and it will introduce some bad luck also.
So this luck is included to reflect real world.

Pool does not have some smart way to predict price and difficulty. Usually that strategy will not work better than fast following current situation.

whattomine shows 7day average.
miningpoolhub shows current realtime profitability which makes things different each other.

Wow. So miningpoolhub is more accurate then. You don't take into account miningpoolhub "luck" right? You just take into account current difficulty and price and that's it and current.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I used RX 480 and got only 24MB/s rate on: March 24, 2017, 01:08:25 PM
I am in trouble here. It seems that I can overclock memory and tell my fan to go 100%. Temperature drops from 84 degree celcius to 70 degree celcius.

I tried to overclock the whole card with msi afterburner and now the computer don't run anymore.

The PSU already blow up once.

So maybe the card is already slightly problematic.

But now it won't run anymore I have no idea what to do. To turn the system back to the way it used to be I would need to you know, run that msi afterburner. For that to work I need the computer to run. It doesn't.

I think I did overclock the memory to 2250mhz (9000 effective) . What do you mean by 2250 is 9000 effective?

It does hit 28 MH/s. Good enough for me.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I used RX 480 and got only 24MB/s rate on: March 24, 2017, 12:14:15 PM
Can I do it with wattman?

This article says I need to turn clock memory to 9 GHz. However, it doesn't tell me how

Quote
Moving to overclocking, the only thing we need to do is increase the video memory to the maximum and in this case this means 9 GHz (the card might be able to handle more, but the overclocking software or the driver is apparently capped at 9 GHz max). With the video memory at 9 GHz the RX 480 is capable of delivering about 28 MHS hashrate for mining Ethereum. It is highly possible that even higher hashrate could be achieved if you manage to get past the 9 GHz limit for the video memory, but for the moment AMD’s WattMan software or the Asus tool that we used do not currently allow for more. With the memory overclocked the power usage is increased with just about 7-8 Watt at the wall, so definitely worth overclocking it for mining Ethereum. We were a bit disappointed by the lack of overclockability headroom of the GPU that was able to get just about 1340 MHz with the stock voltage. Of course no point in overclocking it for Ethereum mining, in fact you might want to actually downclock it to get better power efficiency if mining only Ethereum.

coins in (  ) are coins recently mined that will go to exchange once they confirm. Those already on exchange are just waiting to be sold. Once sold it take a bit of time for the money to come back to the pool and get sent to your btc wallet(if you are exchanging coins for btc for example)

So the difference between those in bracket and those outside brackets are just when they are mined. I see. If I want to know the amount of bitcoin I truly owned I just multiply all the numbers with the price.

For example, I have 9.4 + 1309.1 sexcoin. I don't have to care whether the coins are in bracket or not. Is that true? The btc equivalent is just the current price of sexcoin times that number.

Of course actual number will vary a bit. I wonder if there is a website that provide price for all coins in one place?

may be just a bit of bad luck. what is ntime reject anyway? Is this because your server is too far from the hub?
similar order on the european server is doing fine even though someone always bid .0001 on top of me so I never got traffic.

Let me try to understand gamecredits is .02397 and verge scrypt is .00122

I get it. Verge Scrypt is paying 20 times less. I also understand miningpoolhub will switch when they found a coin.

But why would it switch to verge-scrypt in the first place?

Were verge-scrypt worth 20 times more at the time of switching?

Why such large fluctuation?

I also see that BTC/GH/Day is different in miningpoolhub.com than in

Why?

Is the price listed in miningpoolhub take into account fluctuation in miningpoolhub luck?

So if you just found a coin or a block you listed high number?

That means you're vulnerable of poolhoping. Not that I care. I just see numbers I buy. But how safe it is?

It seems that the price for verge scrypt is fluctuating wildly. Now it is indeed the highest paying coin. But why does it fluctuate wildly? I mean in exchange the price is constant and very little.

It seems that it is a normally worthless coin that somehow looks like it worths a lot once in a while hashwise.
