thankfully it won't be anyone's trouble, they're in international waters...
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I know the real Satoshi. on: January 28, 2018, 10:51:47 PM
Told me his life goal was to be arrested in all 50 states, and he was so rich he could pay bail on all of them.

So Satoshi has a good use in mind for the 1 million coins he mined. Good to hear.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Jokes on: January 28, 2018, 01:10:31 PM
how many miners does it take to change a light bulb? A million. One miner to change it, and a million miners running in circles to determine who gets to do it.

I like that. Great explanation of POW mining.

He told me that if I invest 5000 in our currency it will be doubled in a month's time.

It will be doubled and also tripled eventually. Just not in a month's time.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the downfall of bitcoin? on: January 21, 2018, 03:15:08 PM
Last month we were hoping for 10k by end of December, now a month later the price of 12k is considered the downfall of Bitcoin. Ok.

Hey folks,

Do you guys think Etherium will go up to $10,000 or more?
if it does Bitcoin will be $50k plus at that time.

If the current difference between the two remains the same then it would be 140k.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: January 08, 2018, 04:18:21 AM
I dont feel sorry for him, reckless people shouldnt be rich anyway.

Oh c'mon I've lost some altcoins that way too, fortunately small amounts. It happens, you format your drive, malware, hardware failure etc. It must feel really bad to lose that much.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Vitalik Buterin Satoshi Nakamoto? on: January 05, 2018, 03:57:51 AM
Satoshi must have been designing bitcoin at least a year before the white paper release in 2008, so Buterin would have been no more than 13 by the time.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 satoshi? on: December 07, 2017, 11:09:35 PM

There will come the day when 1 Satoshi will equal $1.00 USD, Hang in there

If that will happened all bitcoiners will be happy especially me, eventhough I only have small amount of bitcoin on my wallet but atleast I earn from it. With the price today I think it is possible. I'll still wait that it will come.

If my math is correct:

1 Satoshi = 1 USD would mean 1 BTC = 100,000,000 USD. Or total BTC (btc only!) marketcap of 2,1 Quadrillion USD (2,100,000,000,000,000 USD) or 7167 times the current BTC marketcap or 7 times more than the current estimated worldwide wealth (~300 trillion).

Don't hold your breath.

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the 21 milion of bitcoin a real limit? on: December 05, 2017, 11:10:51 AM
21 million is the hard cap now, bıt wouldn't it be technically possible to increase this cap with a hard fork, assuming the majority of the people wanted it. I know this is close to impossible, just asking whether it is technically possible.

yes it is possible with a hard fork, on the technical side it should be fairly easy. The hard part would be coming up with a good reason to increase the cap and then convincing the majority to upgrade.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall down on december on: December 01, 2017, 08:18:36 PM
JP and the big banks have been buying BTC

Is this actually true? can you provide sources or evidence?
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest now or wait a while? on: November 27, 2017, 01:06:00 PM
Bitcoin=$10000 may become a fact at the end of the year.

or in a couple of hours
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 27, 2017, 04:16:14 AM
Not surprised for the price in fact eventually it will be much higher, what I can't explain why it is happening so fast this year. I mean it was less than 1k last year.
new markets? f.o.m.o? speculation? going viral?  Huh
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC be a major in college? on: November 24, 2017, 08:26:04 PM
Cryptocurrency or blockchain can be, maybe already are.
Bitcoin less likely, since its too specific I think.
But then check these: https://goo.gl/k7XAEY, so why not.

57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government put on tax on bitcoin on: November 20, 2017, 04:09:51 PM
is not easy because one of them they must inaugurate bitcoin in the country and detect anyone who uses bitcoin is also very difficult.

Maybe they can release an official cryptocurrency, make it the only legal one, and then have taxes implemented in the code.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government put on tax on bitcoin on: November 20, 2017, 04:06:07 PM
If theres a way to tax bitcoin, I think governments will start to like it a lot more, and some of us a lot less.

60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Questions. on: November 19, 2017, 01:46:45 AM
I'm sure there is a lot in here for newbies.  Looking for some guidance.  I am a very computer savy person. I'm reading a book about the history and trying to take it slow. Jumping around trying to look for clues to how to get started.  I signed up for localbitcoins although I don't have a wallet yet. Still trying to wrap my head around everything. One thing I'm confused about: With the price of one coin - what should we be investing. I mean is it basically a waste of time to invest say less then 1,000?  I don't have a lot of money to play with. I wish I got into this a long time ago. I need to learn more. I want to start off on the best foot that I can put forward.  what links in here are best to start with? It seems as though I see a lot of topics talking about coinbase. Are there followers of bitcointalk in here?  Any good books for getting started with bitcoin? I feel like I want to participate but having a hard time feeling comfortable with how.

Invest whatever you are able to, without taking too much risk. Of course it can be less than 1,00.

This is a book I would recommend for you: https://d28rh4a8wq0iu5.cloudfront.net/bitcointech/readings/princeton_bitcoin_book.pdf
