That's really inspiring mate. I must say that you have done a really nice job by keeping your perspective positive about it.
That's really a good quality. Money is made to make our life easier. Life should be our first priority.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A new kind of scam in telegram using gambling site on: July 06, 2019, 08:10:12 AM
The guy is so fast to delete our conversation in telegram and block me, I think he's been doing this for a long time and already victimized people.

He will introduce himself as the owner of a gambling site [forgot the name of the gambling site also) he will invite you to invest in his gambling site and make you a winner of their dice game, the catch is you will divide the pot and send him 50% of the winning pot.

Sounds interesting, I asked him that he send me Bitcoin so I can deposit and do what he says, he told me that many people have already scammed him doing that, but when I ask him how old is the site, he told me that the gambling site is old and trusted one urging me to deposit now, but I told him I would fall to this because the site has no traffic when checking on Alexa..

If I made a deposit I'm pretty sure he will block me.

The guy blocked me I wish I  made a screenshot I was waiting for him to prove that the site is legit.

So beware there are so many scammers lurking there and this is one of their methods.

It wouldn't be weird if I say I have been through this already. The scammer told me the same thing i.e. to deposit the amount and gamble on his site and he would make me the winner.
What I said him was why doesn't he himself create another account and make himself as the winner. To this he later replied that his IP is already known to his colleagues and so he can't do this.
I told him to use a VPN to which he was thrilled and then I told him that I know he is a scammer to which he blocked me. Funny isn't it ?  Grin Grin
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "how to" of building a gambling site on: July 06, 2019, 08:05:34 AM
Why should there be a book for Gambling websites alone ? It is pretty much a website like there are thousands of others.
If at all there should be a book then it should be on how to create a dynamic website which I think there already is or at least there are courses which offer these.
Any web developer or a full stack developer could do this job for you and if you are planning on to create such a site by yourself then you must learn the whole web development course yourself which is pretty much time consuming.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The past, present and future of Bitcoin? on: July 04, 2019, 03:05:40 PM
What if this post was made sometime back when BTC was at $3000 and $12000 was the future goal saying BTC to go bullish and here we are.
So future is the next present. A few months later when we reach $20k, that future will be the new present  Grin

To be honest, there are no limitations on what could be the next ATH price. $20k is an achievable target as many say.
While the market is filled with positivity, it's better to accumulate as much BTC as possible so that holding it for long would benefit us.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Media Is All Praises For Bitcoin on: July 04, 2019, 02:53:40 PM
Never fall for China's traps. You can never expect it to be true to it's words. One day it accepts crypto and the other day it bans all the mining in China.
It had banned mining, ICOs and investment in cryptos a few years back. Why do you think China has again started praising crypto ?
Do you think China has started realizing the value of bitcoin just like what others are thinking right now or do you think they are playing another game of money through crypto ?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with BTC? on: July 04, 2019, 02:49:43 PM
Nobody can answer this question in my opinion because Cryptocurrency has a global market which means any news around the world could dominate the new trend.
At present, there are many positive news spreading in the market like a wildfire. News such as Facebook's Libra coin, the upcoming halving, US vs China money game etc.. are in trend and dominating the crypto market.
So we can't say whats exactly boosting the bull market. We should just be happy that the long bear market is finally over (though it has been time since the bear market was over).
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK - based service that issues cards, anyone? on: July 04, 2019, 02:42:22 PM
There are 2 things here which should be classified:

  • Spending Crypto
  • ExchangingCrypto

Spending crypto is still not an easy task but can be accomplished through various methods. For instance, if you wanna buy anything online you could simply find a person who accepts crypto and can make the purchase for you. Finding the right person is still a tough task as there are too many scammers around. You can find trustworthy people in this forum by looking at feedbacks and trust.
You can also spend crypto by exchanging it for gift cards and vouchers. Google it and you can find sites which accepts crypto and gives you gift cards for the same. Bitrefill is a site which does the specified job. I would recommend doing your own research before using it. Find the link at the bottom.

Exchanging crypto for fiat or other currencies is not that tough these days as there are many exchanges that can exchange your crypto for fiat and other currencies.
As others have already suggested, you can try Localbitcoins to exchange your crypto but beware of scammers. Only trade with highly positive feedbacks.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats happend to india and the world on: July 04, 2019, 02:29:06 PM
i heard about india and actually whats happend to cryptocoins not just india but in some other countrys too ithink that take about bitcoin a wrong idea and theres tunisia too their gouverment sayed how that use bitcoin make big toroble that how world move ifeel so sad about that
Government of India is sick with their judgements and I can say this from my personal experience as I am from India. The political matters take ages to bring forward a a legal justified judgement.
Implementing new laws takes ages as well excluding the monetization act. To be honest, not only India but there are many similar countries which are still lacking behind in terms of accepting cryptocurrencies as a legal tender. Regulation will still take good amount of time before being implemented in these nations.
13  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Phishing Site on: March 22, 2019, 01:29:21 PM
I've reported the site to Google, I hope they really do something about this.

That could have explained accounts that recently had their passwords changed.
I guess google hasn't done anything about it yet because the site is still on and working.
I wonder how many people would fall prey to this phishing site.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HOW DO WE INCREASE THE VALUE OF CRYPTOCURRENCIES? on: March 11, 2019, 01:26:23 PM
There are over 1500 cryptocurrencies on the market. However, most of these crytocurrencies has little or no value at all. I have been selling several of these cryptocurrencies whose prices are just nothing to write home about.

It is sad to see several cryptocurrencies valuing less  than 0.0001 dollars. We, the investor( time and money investors) need to do a lot to cater for this unattractive prices. Some investors are scared of the low prices and hence are not even interested in trading in cryptocurrencies at what?

What can we do to speed up cryptocurrencies in terms of price?Huh?

Please share your ideas.
There are hundreds of shitcoins lying around with nobody investing any amount in it and it's quite obvious too.
Why would people invest in projects that has no potential. It is obvious that not every coin would gain traction hence the low price.
The projects that are potential will definitely gain an increase in the price of its coin.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A world of opportunities for freelancers on: February 16, 2019, 03:29:34 PM
bitcoin is being used in so many places throughout the world but it can be so much more. It's obvious that there are so many freelancers in every country. Firms, companies, startups etc.. have a limitation that they can hire freelancers only from their country since they can pay them only in their native currency to avoid hassle of exchange. But if firms, companies, startups etc.. start using bitcoin as a payment method to hire freelancers then there will be so many opportunities for the freelancers since they can get work from anywhere in the world. I don't know why has  this not become a huge thing until now. This could really change the life of freelancers and give a better end result/product to the company they are working for.
16  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Is Mycelium still trustworthy ? on: February 14, 2019, 08:53:46 AM
if you want to "store" your bitcoins in some wallet and not touch it for some time then you should choose a safer option such as an offline wallet (cold storage) or at least keep a wallet on your PC instead of your phone since a cell phone can easily be lost or stolen since you carry it around while your PC is less in danger.

as for Mycelium, it is an open source wallet that has been around for quite some time now so it should be safer.
and for the 0 balance thing read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091798.msg0#new
Thanks for the zero balance thread.
I would still consider to store my bitcoins on my smartphone since I always keep the backup of the private key in a password protected file and store it both on my smartphone and my PC. So I guess it is safe to store the bitcoins in a smartphone wallet.
17  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Is Mycelium still trustworthy ? on: February 14, 2019, 06:55:35 AM
Since I am not trading anymore I just decided to move all my coins to Mycelium. I opened up the playstore on my Android phone and went on to install the Mycelium Bitcoin wallet app. It was then that I read the reviews and noticed that many users are complaining that their balance showed 0 all of a sudden.
Is this true ?
Has this happened to anyone of you recently ?
Shall I proceed with transferring my bitcoins to Mycelium ?

Comments and suggestions are welcome. Note that I want to download a wallet on my smartphone whose private key I can hold.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Scammers alert: New way to scam bitcoin users on: October 15, 2018, 03:54:19 PM
I and my friend encountered this situation and I am sure many others would have too. Scammers contact the crypto users on telegram. They get your ID from crypto related telegram channels and then ask you for a help. The scammer tells you that he is not able to withdraw coins from an exchange and asks you help him by signing up on the exchange and withdrawing coins from there to the scammers address. In return they give you a few amount of bitcoins.
The scammers website asks you to deposit at least 0.01btc before you can withdraw any coins. People fall for this trap and hence get scammed.

Few of such sites built by the scammers: westcrypt.info  , monocrypt.info , cryptoelips.com , westerncrypt.com

Find the discussion from various other people here: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/new-scam-site-danger.2842061/

Be aware guys. Do not fall for such traps.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / More people More volatility on: October 08, 2018, 05:25:22 PM
Lets assume bitcoin makes it through all the barriers and survives the rules and regulations of the governments and yet is decentralized.
It is widely adopted and many people have started to use it. Bitcoin has grown to thousands/millions of dollars in price causing huge volatility.

If there are so many people using it on a daily basis, won't the volatility cause huge fluctuations in it's price ?
If bitcoin has such huge volatility how will it be able to sustain it's price ? The fluctuations in price will cause problems to merchants.
So according to what I think, if there is not a solution to volatility then BTC cannot be used on a regular basis for payments in various places of the world.

Eg: One day I go and check a guitar's price about $100 and then a week later I go to purchase it just to notice that I would have to pay more BTC this time just because of the drop in bitcoin's price.

Conclusions from the comments

Conclusion 1 : More people is not equal to more volatility but more active traders = more volatility
Conclusion 2 : More people involved in bitcoin will mean that the supply of BTC will be well spread among each other and hence volatility will decrease.

Thanks for taking part in the discussion.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Continues to Consolidate As Volatility Reaches Lows of 2018 on: October 02, 2018, 01:28:20 PM
There were a lot of positive news in the market last year which lead to a bullish market. The sudden price surge grabbed many investors' attention and this lead to a further increase in price making a bubble which when popped, took away many with it. The dump was necessary for bitcoin's price to become stable. Now that the price has become stable, we can expect BTC to grow steadily.
