Hi guys! i have a problem. 2 of my Icarus boards stopped working and according to the web page of the Icarus board i need a fuse type 0812 3.15A which i cant seem to find anywhere.
Could any1 give me pointers as to where to get this fuse?
I google everywhere for this fuse.
Any pointers?
Thanks!

hahaha tried going back to 3.0.10 but i get only segmentation faults when running and no errors on build...
trying now 3.2.6...
later ill try 3.0.9
|
|
|
i updated to 3.6 and not my jalapeņo is not detected as BFL but as AVA0 and AVA1... is there anything that i can do to fix this problem?
Is it mining? If it is, it's not a problem. its not mining edit: disabled avalon support and its mining edit2: its mining at a fraction of the speed that was on 3.0

hi! i was on bfgminer 3.0.2 (if my memory serves me right) and i started my jalapeņo and icarus with no problem... as an update freak that i am, i updated to 3.6 and not my jalapeņo is not detected as BFL but as AVA0 and AVA1... is there anything that i can do to fix this problem?

hi i would appreciate your help. i'm running bfgminer on a Pi. i have 3 icarus boards, 1 cm1 and 1 bfl single fpga i did the following (made it a script so as to build it every so often): #!/bin/bash git clone https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer.git cd bfgminer ./autogen.sh ./configure make
no errors on build also on boot: modprobe ftdi_sio vendor=0x0403 product=0x8350 sleep 1 echo "0403 8350" > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/ftdi_sio/new_id sleep 1 #BFL modprobe ftdi_sio vendor=0x0403 product=0x6014 #Lancelot modprobe ftdi_sio vendor=0x0403 product=0x6001 #Cairnsmore1 modprobe ftdi_sio product=0x8350 vendor=0x0403
i run it with either bfgminer -c ../miner.txt -S all or bfgminer -c ../miner.txt -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1 -S /dev/ttyUSB2 -S /dev/ttyUSB3 -S /dev/ttyUSB4 -S /dev/ttyUSB5 -S /dev/ttyUSB6 -S /dev/ttyUSB7 and the bfl is not detected or bfgminer stays in a blank screen. even though all 0 to 7 ttyUSB exist any ideas? edit: if i use bfgminer -c ../miner.txt it starts ok but no ICA start. by the way i've mined with them before but not all together.

thanks man! i can flash the bitstream... but it seams like i cant flash the controller D:\App Download\cm1\cm1\Cairnsmore Bitstreams>xc3sprog.exe -c cm1 -p2 -Ixc6lx150 .bit shortfin_dcmwd4e_ed_test_220_overclock.bit XC3SPROG (c) 2004-2011 xc3sprog project $Rev: 724 $ OS: Windows Free software: If you contribute nothing, expect nothing! hi again. well i was fooling around with my cm1 trying to make it work in cm1 (i want it there hahaha hardheaded me). so i did https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=94317.msg1073047#msg1073047to update the bitstream using shortfin_dcmwd4e_ed_test_220_overclock.bit found here https://www.wuala.com/ebereon/Shared/bitcoin/bitstreams/the thing is everything went kinda ok (at some point i think i flashed the controller onto the bitstream) but then i reflashed the above mentioned bit following the steps. now i have a red blinking light permanetly on and it doesnt mine my dip switches are SW6-1 off and in SW1 are all on any ideas? edit: for the record i tried upgrading to controller 1.5 putting the dip switches as described in cm1quickstart and when i do SPIProg.exe CAIRNSMORE1_CONTROLLER_REV_1_5.bit all i get is: SPIProg V1.0 Copyright Enterpoint Ltd ⌐ 2012 Cairnsmore Control FPGA Loader Bitfile OK NumPages: 207

seems like i have to go back to bfgminer tried cm1 with --icarus-options with different configs baud:4:1 baud:2:1 baud:1:1 and still crashes... it seems its the dynamic bitstream... oh well... thanks for the efforts... when i figure out how to change the bitstream to makomk it should be ok to come back

Thanks kano! Will try it out. I'm with a rPi so no usb3 here. Thabks though. Will try the short thingy (tried it with long and no go). Also could be the bitstream cause (here i'll get hit) in bfgminer the clock is around 200mH/s each and in cgminer it goes all the way to 350. Dunno. An idea. Will read further cause i wanna use cgminer. And im using cm1 cause it sounds fun and dont have enough for an asic.

yay!! i'm back so i installed everything as kano said for my cm1 now im running it cgminer version 3.1.1 i'm using this command ./cgminer -c ../miner.conf -S /dev/ttyUSB0 -S /dev/ttyUSB1 -S /dev/ttyUSB2 -S /dev/ttyUSB3 miner.conf only has api and pool options. even so, after a little while this text appears all ok here (5s):1.461G (avg):1.301Gh/s | A:9 R:0 HW:0 U:11.8/m WU:11.8/m ST: 2 SS: 0 NB: 1 LW: 33 GF: 0 RF: 0 Connected to stratum.bitcoin.cz diff 1 with stratum as user shawtux.2 Block: 005b778b2574d43f... thanks -Redacted-!! that "which" command did it. there was an old installation (make install it seems) that was screwing things up.
deleted the bin in the usr folder and voila... 3.1.1 <3
|
|
|
thanks! but the source and the binary both say its 3.2.1 and not 3.1 :S is that ok?
|

hmmm that the rpc calls of BFG dont have the current hashrate. a friend of mine is currently using cgminer with CM1 so i dont know whats up. i currently run 3.3.1 my cm1 is second hand. before running do i necessarily need to run modprobe? (i run it on boot) edit: duh!! its right there... testing 3.3.1 and not 3.1 lol... as soon as i get home i'll try it out.

where can i find stock firmware for quad? makomk? this one works with cgminer right? i'm asking because bfgminer detects it but cgminer doesnt
