321  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make We no Dey Use Centralized Exchange to Receive Campaign Payment Directly. on: December 02, 2023, 06:58:14 PM
So nai make I say make I come tell my country people say let dem no use Centralized Exchanges to receive pay because di exchange itself can freeze your account if there is a small mistake. And in this days Binance set dey hot. And dem dey on hot seat so small things na KYC na dem dey ask. But if you use non custodial wallet to receive your pay nobody go question you. Use Electrum to receive pay and send to Binance to sell and not to keep. To avoid wahala na be the best approach to settle cases. Be careful out there. Like this Binance don send messages to all this people wey received BTC from the Sinbad escrow address to do KYC and more information. Dis one na for your own good.

Shey we dey sing am here everyday say exchange should only be used as exchange and nothing else but people no dey gree hear, this one wey Bitcoin fee been come high e come make many people come dey use exchange address to receive payment but now dem dun see am say it wasn't a wise decision. Wetin dey there to receive your Bitcoin for your non custodial wallet then you can do with the Bitcoin received anything wey you want. Those affected should take this as warning to not trust exchanges especially centralized ones or any centralized Bitcoin service providers as anytime wey problem come dey go find way to throw you under the bus. And those wey no dey affected should also learn form this. Also avoid centralized wallet providers and only use non custodial wallets.

We Nigerians aren't decentralized enough, we need to learn how to dey use more of decentralized services for this industry because we self no dey better country wey be say the government fit just wake up one dey wan ban every account that has a connection with Bitcoin through any centralized service wey dem fit get access to, to collect data wey dem go use work. E get time wey government been dey target cryptocurency traders so dem fit do am again. Make we dey dey careful and take our security very serious oh because if we no do am na we go dey regret later. Know wetin you dey promote before you start dey join campaign. Government no like mixers so dem go always get problem with dem, so no do transaction directly with any exchange from mixers and some other sites them. E make sense to send the coins to your non custodial wallet first before you fit move am to exchange for trading.
322  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: HOW DOSE BITCOIN MAKES MONEY? on: December 02, 2023, 06:29:30 PM
HOW DOES BITCOIN MAKE MONEY?

in my own little opinion Bitcoin makes it money through mining process, its data of transactions and rewards computer operators.

Your little opinion dey wrong, Bitcoin na money himself so Bitcoin no need to make money. Your question just dey like how Naira dey make money, e make sense to you like dat? Wetin you go talk na how people dey make money with Bitcoin and na when different strategies go come on boards like;
  • People make money from Bitcoin through investing
  • People make money from Bitcoin through mining
  • People make money from Bitcoin through trading
  • People make money from Bitcoin through offering a service relating to Bitcoin.
  • People make money from Bitcoin through lending and other ways wey you fit make money from any currency, assets and so on

You fit devlope your own means of making money from Bitcoin, some people dey wey dey work and get paid in Bitcoin. People dey wey dey combine the plenty ways of making money from Bitcoin, basically Bitcoin go give you money anyway wey naira or any other currency fit make you make money too. Bitcoin na a tools to use make money and the best way to make am na by buying and hodling as e better pass others means but if you be person wey dey very creative, you fit invent your own means and they get your choppings.
323  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be careful during the halving season on: December 02, 2023, 06:14:35 PM
The things way i won talk be say, as the bull dey front dey come, e go good if those way done invest for Bitcoin earlier this year and way back dey careful this season and the whole of the next year and after, because I really believe say plenty of scammers go dey more active to dey find those way them go scam (more especially Bitcoiners).

Bull market mean say alot of money will be flowing into the market and this money dey involve old money (from investors wey already dey into the industry) and new money (from new investors). The new investor's dey come in their number wey be say dem dey plenty die and lack proper knowledge of how the market be so this na why scammers dey chop dem scatter. Scammers know say newbies dem go plenty so dem dey target dem with mouth watering offers and many dey fall victims. You wey be investor, na you suppose secure your investment and you no supposed believe everything wey you see for online unless you go fall mugu to scammers.

Different scams plenty during the bull market but e get one wey people no dey too reason because dem believe say everything wey dem invest inside you do well (most times e dey go that way but e no dey last). We need dey careful wetin we dey Invest inside because plenty altcoins go come out during this time. Many of dem no go fit survive after the bull market as the project founders only created the tokens for the bull market and after the market finish dem no get any plans for the bear market and the project go die so if you still dey invested inside them na you go lose am. During the bull market, ponzi scheme go plenty too and Bitcoin doublers go begin dey plenty but as a wise investor, we need dey avoid all this sites them and just dey hold the coins wey we dun buy for the bull market.

For Nigeria here, we go begin here all sorts of defi platforms dem wey go dey promise all sorts of benefits, we need avoid them and not give out control over your coins to any platform wey go promised say dem go Invest for you or trade for you and dem go dey give you returns. This na some ways wey scammers dey steal people money during this bull market period.
324  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Preparing and protecting bitcoin future holders on: December 02, 2023, 05:54:46 PM
We know that everything has it time and that we can't continue to become relevant in this field forever and will have to eventually leave it someday in the hands of the younger ones who will continue the advocacy and push for bitcoin adoption in our country and also Considering the fact that it is not all that feasible to hosting sensitization programmes in schools and public places  that could help in educating the younger ones about the functionality of bitcoin and the necessity of it adoption in our country, I'm concerned regarding the fate of future bitcoiner in our country and and what we can do to educate the younger ones on the benefit this has to play in the ease of global and local transaction in  the country.

Me I no just believe in forcing Bitcoin adoption on anybody and I believe say by the time our children dun come of age, Bitcoin acceptance for the country go dun reach e peak. If by the time our children become adult and we still dey push for Bitcoin adopting for the country e mean say we never really achieve anything na because that one go be like 18+ years time assuming we born today. If in 18 year we still dey do wetin we dey do today then government dun already rule out the possibility of accepting Bitcoin be dat so make we just leave that talk and dey invest for the purposes of profits gaining and wealth security even though the utility no possible for the country.

As we get wealth for Bitcoin, we go need pass am from our generation to that of our children and in that process we go teach them things dem go need know on how to secure the Bitcoin well and do other needful things them for the industry so that way we dey preserved the adoption of the currency. Bitcoin go take care of himself so make we no go dey stress ourselves much. Just as you carry sabi about Bitcoin na so other future generations go sabi about am too. We get people wey go pick interest for teaching about Bitcoin and just like the current educators wey we get so for like dem YouTube and other social media them wey dem dey monetize their channels to you educated people, na so the same hustle go continue and the gospel will continue been spread about Bitcoin.
325  Economy / Economics / Re: Inventing a job is better than finding a job on: December 02, 2023, 12:42:57 AM
So which one should it be? Do you take the risk and invent a job or do you want to keep running the race knowing the possibility of winning is very low and you may never reach the finish line?

Always, working for yourself (inventing a job) is better than working for someone else (looking for a job). If you can pass through the stages of developing a job that you can call your own then you're closer to making that business a success. Been self employed isn't easy but after successfully launching your business and making it to stand, you'll see the benefits of owning a business because you're your own boss and nobody get to tell you when you get to come to work or close from what.

You get the chance to pay yourself and give yourself vacation break that you deserve for your hardwork. Basically you get to treat others the way you wanted your boss to treat you, that's why being your own boss is important than working for someone else. Inventing a job isn't something everybody can do so I don't blame people relying on working for others. Even after you invent your own job, you'll still need workers at some point of the company's lifespan especially after making it into a big brand, you'll need employees and that's why those that can't invent their own jobs comes in handy.

Both inventing and looking for jobs works hand in hand, they both are needed for the society to function but if you can develop yourself into been a business owner, it'll be more beneficial to you then living your whole life working for others. It doesn't matter how small the business is, start it today and you'll be surprised how far it'll go in the future. Most businesses started as a small enterprise but later became a multi million dollars company.
326  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does signature Campaign Sponsors make their money on: December 01, 2023, 07:57:12 PM
Often times I keep wondering how signature campaigns sponsors get their funds considering the huge amount of money they pay campaign members of their various Signatures and Avatars because some of the Signature Sponsors Refills their Escrow Funds on a weekly or monthly basis.

I want to know how advertising their Avatars and Signatures provides funds for the sponsors or is it that they just actually want their Signatures or their Avatars to be advertised to the public?

Just know if campaigns weren't making profits or gaining from their advertisment on the forum they won't be refilling their escrow wallets and keeping their campaign going for many weeks. The projects gains from their advertisment on the forum directly from forum members picking interest in their platforms from the campaigns that's ongoing on the forum and from other benefits like the number of traffic or unique site visitors that they get from the forum. Basically if the projects weren't receiving value for their promotions that they were carrying out on the forum they would have ended it a long time ago

Projects are advertising on the forum for various reasons, some just need the traffic the forum offers when their links are been click on and it helps place them at higher position on google website rankings which introduced them to potential clients when they search for services that they render while some need the reputation that the forum offers like for mixers that the forum has being playing a major role in making them very popular among the forum members and cryptocurency community at large.

Signature Campaign sponsor make their money from the popularity that the platforms gives them and all this happens because of their signature campaign. Some happens immediately while others take longer therefore some projects might be using money from their pocket without making any profits but with time and as the project gains more community acceptances, they'll likely make back all the money they have sent in publicity and also make other profits.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What lies ahead for Bitcoin in the coming days? on: December 01, 2023, 01:54:48 PM
Hi everyone.
We can all agree that the starting of this year 2023 has been extremely good for Bitcoin and a few other Cryptocurrencies unlike last year 2022 that Bitcoin had an epileptic run and was literally struggling, making lots of people think twice about still choosing Bitcoin as their choice of investment.

Last year, we were in a bear market so everything that happened was expected of the market to happen. Bitcoin decrease in price after the bull market has ended that we saw in 2021. Usually the next year after the bear market isn't always that bad because the market would be in a recovery phrase and most of the panic sellers would have already sold and left the market in the bear market year which was 2022. I expected this year to be better than last and so will other years to come until after Bitcoin halving and we get the main bull market that we'll see Bitcoin getting to a new ATH and also setting a new price milestone. Those that had second thoughts were probably newbies as those with experience would had been accumulating Bitcoin because they know the story will be different in the bull market.

Quote
So please I'd really need your contributions and ideas on what you feel or think would be the outcome of Bitcoin the remaining weeks of this year and most importantly, what would the new year have installed for Bitcoin?

One thing I can tell you is, Bitcoin block reward will be halving next year and that'll brings alot of positivity to the price of Bitcoin. Next year will also be more better than this year as alot of fomo will be coming to the market because of Bitcoin halving. Just to summarize, it'll say better days are ahead for Bitcoin. We have gone through the toughest days already (the bear market) and starting next year the market will be shifting from bear to bull. Alot of positive development will be coming that'll make investing in Bitcoin gain more attraction again.
328  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 01, 2023, 12:16:46 PM
Theymos, I understand this decision had to be taken to save the forum from alot of accusations in aiding fraudulent activity in the future but what next are we going to ban? Will crypto non KYC casinos be next as they too can be used for mixing. The government are winning and there's nothing we can do about it. It's sad that one of the most rewarding service on the forum that pays their participants a decent amount of money is going away. I guess we'll return to the casinos taking over the forum. Mixers were associated with Bitcoin and it was nice seeing them around as it remembered us of privacy. I didn't use a mixer until I say an advert of one on the forum and currently promoting one because of their usefulness. It's just sad that we're killing privacy everyday.

Will it come to a time of KYC-mixers?

It sounds weird now but maybe in future, it will happen and with KYC, mixers will be allowed by laws. The point is to avoid criminals to use mixers, not good people who want privacy to use mixers.

Where's the privacy going to be when you have already submitted your kyc that can be access by hackers or the government whenever they want to. The point is the government wants to monitor everything so services that makes it difficult for them to know what is going on is a threat to them and they're try to eliminate them on time and not give them similar doubts they did to Bitcoin and see where Bitcoin is today (impossible to kill). I also see things heading the way of kyc-mixes as the government is okay with privacy that's under their supervision.
329  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Ronaldo Faces $1 Billion Class Action Lawsuit For Promoting Binance!! on: December 01, 2023, 04:35:05 AM
Lots of news recently involving Binance. This is not great for the community as not only a popular celebrity is involve but billions of dollars are involve which is a significant amount of money.

What's do you think is the implication of this news (not this only), is it the end of Binance, or this is just a trial that will make Binance stronger?

To begin with I expected news like this to come out after the news of Binance exchange been found guilty and we should be expecting more to follow especially if Ronaldo losses this case then more people will want their share of the pie. Ronaldo shouldn't be blame in any of this because his only crime here is been a famous athletes that Binance exchange took advantage of his popularity to sell their over priced NFT collections. Ronaldo mightn't have known anything about NFT probability until the meeting with Binance and they sold the idea to him which he bought as a good business idea. I'm pretty sure Ronaldo didn't force anyone to buy the NFT, he only promoted them and there's nothing wrong in that.

Those people affect by the decline in price of the NFT were probably greedy and wanted to make quick money by flipping the NFT for profits but their luck ran out and are not stuck with NFT worth less than they bought them. It was just business and I see no rightful reason to drag Ronaldo to court but as always they go after the weakling as Ronaldo won't want his image to be associated with any negativity and might would settle to keep him from appearing in court and spoiling his image as that'll mean bad business for the brand associated with him.
330  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CZ officially bids goodbye to Binance. Will Binance Crash or still stand Strong? on: November 30, 2023, 10:40:16 PM
When binance boosted about their reserves, many of us thought it was a joke and today we have seen that binance is able to pay any fine and still stand strong.

I thought BNB will drop upto 50% after CZ resignation,  but I wasn't even upto 10% and has already corrected.  So, there's no other FUD that will pull the market down. Binance is in auto pilot and doesn't need 100% intelligence to keep working.

BNB is a centralized token controlled by Binance exchange, the price is been manipulated by the exchange and with their burning mechanism they're attracting more gullible investors. It's not a surprise that the token didn't get much price dip because they haven't been found guilty of doing anything that affect the community so they still have the trust of the community. Cz move also is been praised all over the industry as sacrificing himself for the wellbeing of the industry so people are still buying into the crab that they're selling. I didn't expecting expect the token to fall too as there wasn't much heat instead support because the stories is been spread as the government against the industry and investors will naturally side with the industry, but this is just the fed against CEX.

What I can say is the Fed wouldn't be giving up and other things will work in their favor, already Binance exchange partners are now the target with law suits which might drive away potential business partners which will dry the pockets of Binance and their reserves. The only way I see them combating the lack of revenue that would soon be their problem is to charge more for listing fee and list more altcoins but soon they'll run out of projects to list or their listing won't have much effect on projects growths anymore, making them to lose patronage from crypto products. The money will move over to other exchange and then the so called reserve will dry up and the crisis begin to unfold in front of our eyes.

The mistakes most people commenting on this issue is making is thinking, Binance exchange is too big to fail but no CEX has such quality. The fine wasn't a big money for an exchange like Binance exchange but when they can't replace the money to keep their reserve up then we'll begin seeing similar situation to other CEX that has seized to exist in the past.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: November 29, 2023, 11:58:46 PM
I am just wondering, what will happen if Bitcoin shutdown? Will the market crash? How about the effect of this to altcoins? Can government shutdown Bitcoin? I have a lot of question about this matter, because who knows, right? Also, how about hackers shutdown Bitcoin? What are your thought here? Let's discuss this.

I believe if anything was to happen to Bitcoin then the whole industry is as good as nothing because people won't believe anything can be achieved again as the pioneer of the industry and the most decentralized cryptocurency has been taken down. People are only paying attention to the industry because of Bitcoin. Investment are flowing into the market from both institutional investors and small investors because of the success of Bitcoin so if anything was to happen to Bitcoin, the industry is dead but nothing can happen to Bitcoin (at least not any of those you mentioned) so you don't have to be scared, Bitcoin Blockchain can't be hacked and for there to be any form of manipulation of the blockchain, it'll cost so much that it'll not be worth it.

Bitcoin controls the whole market, a positive move in Bitcoin price affect other coins either directly or indirectly that's why the market decrease when Bitcoin is having a bad season (bear market) and increase when Bitcoin is having a good season (bull market). The government can shutdown altcoins because they're centralized and having a face that they can be targeted and get negative publicity to affect the price of the coin but that isn't possible with Bitcoin because it's a decentralized cryptocurency without any identifiable face just a community of supporters and adopters.

What will the hackers hack to shutdown Bitcoin? Bitcoin doesn't have a centralized server that can be attacked and the blockchain is basically unhackable. Bitcoin service providers can be targeted and shut down especially does operating centralized but nothing can be done to Bitcoin except manipulation of the price by sell pressure and negative policy but it'll recover from that as well.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Authorities Are Not Smart Enough to Do This on: November 29, 2023, 11:53:21 PM
But I doubt that the authorities are smart enough to do this. Please leave a comment.

The authorities in your country mightn't be smart but others are and that's why they haven't put a banned on Bitcoin yet because they know that'll only increase the adoption of the currency instead of reducing it. Third world countries are used to doing things with authority instead of being civil so it's no surprise they went through that approach but the US are doing things differently and I just hope it doesn't work because it seems they're succeeding by cracking down on services promoting Bitcoin and arguably the face of the industry but they too won't succeed.

The government doesn't see fiats as a failure yet or it needing any improvement because it's a perfect tool for control and they can print new note into existence whenever they want. Fiats is giving them too much power so the first option will never be what the government will do.The government ignoring Bitcoin won't stop the adoption of the currency either and the government knows this, they have tried that as well but it didn't work.

They ignored or I'll say underated Bitcoin power and that's why they didn't kill the currency when they had a better chance of doing so when it hasn't gained this much popularity and acceptance by the masses. The government has realized that ignoring Bitcoin won't chase it away so they're left with their last attempt of killing Bitcoin by fighting it but they won't succeed too and finally they'll be left with no option but to accept Bitcoin.
333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why rush, instead of taking your time to learn about the forum ? on: November 29, 2023, 11:26:49 PM
It is best to take baby steps to be able to fully understand the full context of the forum, and  ask questions when experiencing difficulties in the forum, the forum is a community and we are all here to share ideas and solutions, we work better as a team, of course abiding to the rules and regulations of the forum, would help as well, there are a lot to learn from the forum and lots of great ideas shared within the space with just mere asking the right questions you can achieve success from the forum.

Although this started as a Bitcoin forum, it's worth more than that at the moment because of the addition of the different boards that brings about different discussion. All information that you need can be gotten from the forum which means you can also learn different things on the forum. As a newbie, what you should be more concerned about is learning and not looking for merit to rank up and chase after signature campaign. The campaigns are just a privilege that can be taken from you at anytime so that shouldn't be your focus on the forum. Develop yourself while you're here and aim above the forum because there's more to achieve in the outside world that the forum can help build you for. I always say there's a lot of wisdom to be gotten from the forum and it's left for you to decide if you'll be among those gaining those wisdom or not.

This is the reason why we should never rush and take a shortcut to be successful. The forum has a lot of knowledge to share and real-life experiences to learn from, so its a must to start learning the forum well before proceeding into investing or trading, or even participating in signature campaigns.

Shortcuts deny you the privilege of gaining the knowledge that comes from passing through the process. Shortcuts makes it impossible to teach others how to achieve what you have achieved because you didn't pass through the whole process of achieving success both on and off the forum. Shortcuts can only get you to a point and it leaves you there but those that genuinely pass through the process can go as further as possible. An example is an account that get helps though reviews always ends up not having merits after they get to a specific rank and the help stop coming from the reviewers but that users that was gaining merits on his own, no matter how small will keep getting merits as his keep contribution positively on the forum. I'm not saying account reviews or giveaway threads are bad but there's always a clear different between users that ranked up through those means and the one earning merits on his own.
334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a dream but possible on: November 29, 2023, 11:07:31 PM
When you involve a lawyer you have already revealed all your worth to a fellow human being you knew nothing about, there are many corrupted lawyers in my country, I don't know about others but what do you think about this?

At some point in life we have to trust someone who's not ourselves, we can't live without trust and when I hear stories like this I somehow blame the person that was involved in this accident because some of this cases can be easily avoided but we don't do things rightly. We now have law firms that can handle our wills and we should stop trusting just one lawyer, pay that extra fee and get a firm to be incharge of your will if you're that wealthy that'll require you to be killed to take over your wealth and don't do things alone. There should be some witness that'll make it difficult for them to plot evil against you and also treat your lawyer well. I know some humans are just evil that no matter what you're paying them, they'll still plot evil against you but paying people well take away most of this threats.

Imagine where by a hardware wallet is created with the set time capability to release Bitcoin for your children? I have never seen such but I think it's doable, sorry if I make this sound easy as I am not even a developer

Things like this are already in existence so I won't have to go over them as I believe justice has been done by those that have commented before me but I also want to stress that although living our wealth in Bitcoin to our children is encouraging but if we have kids that haven't matured to the level of understanding how to operate a wallets and get the Bitcoin when you pass away (like your heirs are still children then there is nothing wrong in going the traditional way by giving them a fortune in fiats) or better still make a paper wallet and keep them in a valut that the key to that, will be in the will and they can get access to it after you pass away. This goes back to having a trusted lawyer or firm to oversee your inheritance wills and not hungry random lawyers.
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 29, 2023, 10:48:08 PM
I am so elated each time I come into this forum and see thousands of members who are already outside the matrix doing great things and doing everything possible to get the novice and beginners up in the crypto world. I want to put it out here Iro know if possible we can get to know the intending coins that one could invest into against 2024. We need a good crypto analyst of wall street standard.

Bitcoin, since you need a coin that'll do well in 2024 and you don't want to do your own research but depends on random users advices on the forum, let me save you from those that'll make suggestions on their favorites altcoins for the bull market in 2024 and put you in a position that you'll either make it as a result of the coins they suggested doing very well or lose everything as a result of an exit scam or the project getting dump for something more shinny and trending, Invest in Bitcoin buddy. Bitcoin is a guarantee investment for all weather of the market. Bitcoin is one coin that most newbies avoid because they feel it's too costly but regret not investing in it when their favorite altcoins fail them. People doubt bitcoin can still do huge returns of investment but don't be surprised when you see Bitcoin doing over 10x of it's current value in the next bull market or few years to come. Having a guarantee 10x on your investment is better than delusional multiple X's ROI that you might never see.

If my calculations are correct - then I would probably make more profit on Ethereum with a $5000 budget assuming a purchase on October 19, 2020 and a sale on October 19, 2021 than $5000 on bitcoin for the same buy and sell dates. But what happened - I chose bitcoin because of its security and also people's trust in it, even if I didn't get a greater return than investing in altcoins.

At this point, it's the security that matters the most and not the ROI because no matter how big Ethereum has become, we can wake up and it's no more but that'll be very hard for Bitcoin because if that's to happen then it means the whole industry is dead. The industry can survive without Ethereum, we have similar alternative already existing and been launched with a better blockchain than Ethereum but just lack the hype and advantage that Ethereum has for been the first of it's kind in the market. If we want to make profits, there are other shitcoins we can throw fee dollars into and make a killing if we're lucky but there's no guarantee that you won't lose your money unlike when you invest in Bitcoin and hodl. When investing, security should be as important as the profits and like the saying goes, make sure you don't lose when investing.
336  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Investing or trading with emotions on: November 28, 2023, 11:09:49 PM
Instead of paying someone that claims they know about how the system works its rather you use that money and start investing then follow the rules and basic techniques that the system requires that's sure the right way to go.

This na one mistakes wey many newbies dey make when dem wan start trading, dem dey too quick to want to dey make profit and miss out of the opportunity of learning. Dat money wey you wan give person so, why you no use am learn how to trade yourself. Nothing better pass when you sabi trade instead of depending on another person to dey give you signals. At the end of the day, you go realize say you been dey make the wrong decision. Me self I go prefer you go to a legitimate trading service providers wey be say you go give them money like investment  and dem trade and give you returns and use that time dey do other meaningful things wey go add to your life than to wait for signals wey you no understand how dem carry get am. If you want to trade yourself, spend money and learn it perfectly before you start thinking about profits.

Quote
And again do not allow your attention to be divided while trading and at a time when you are looking for the best time to invest you should be able to identify the wrong signals from the right ones.

Investing and trading different, both can be done simultaneously and you no go get any challenge. Investing no get much work as all you do after you dun see coin wey you wan like na to buy and hodl am. You no need to they monitor the market or do anything active but just wait until time dun reach wey be say you dun get get better profits and you sell or you wait until they time wey you give yourself to hodl dun reach and you sell. Trading na say you need dey active for the market and they buy and sell almost daily so doing the two no get problem. If you plan yourself well you can multitask on various profit generating activity and come out successful. People dey wey dey run am so e no dey impossible to achieve.
337  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: digital marketing and working from home on: November 28, 2023, 10:47:48 PM
I think our government should create an online platform whereby its citizens can trade and make other business transactions so that the cost of earning a living in the country can be reduced to the minimal.

To begin with, that's not the job of the government, no be every problem wey we get wey we supposed rely on the government to solve. When this kind problem arises, it's left for the innovative minds in the country to see the problem as an opportunity to make money by solving the problem so they start up companies that does logistics businesses. Already we get dem plenty for the country like dem jumia, Kongo, jiji and so on for online market and for logistics we get plenty delivery bikes dem wey you fit use receive your delivery so that one no be issue. Working from home is becoming a normal thing in the country especially among youths as working remotely na one of the hottest thing in town now so we dey get there definitely but make you know say we can't completely go remotely as we still need some physical workers going to work manually as we always had.

The society is structured in such a way that while some person might be doing the online or work from home jobs, others will need to be physically present to run some business in the society before things can work properly. For those that are selling fish or food items in the market, how do you expect them to do? Even if they use social media to advertise there product, they will still need to go to the physical market that is made up of so many buyers and sellers that are there primary customers.

Your point dey valid and I no dey discredit am but you fit still run any kind of business online including that examples wey you use. People dey sell fish from house online without having to go to the market. We get wetin dem dey call personal shippers wey fit run all your shopping for you and you pay dem. Many of dem dey work through online, the market woman, if she play her compass wey fit no dey to dey come market again but dey do home delivery for people wey order from her online shop and she no even need create website. She can host it on any social media like Whatsapp, Twitter self or Facebook. We need to take advantage of this social media something because e dey create better connection to a wider range of audience wey dey in their millions. People dey find way to make their life less stressful so if you fit deliver for them (stress less life,, na better money dey this kind business).
338  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The fall of shitcoin/altcoin, the rise of bitcoin on: November 28, 2023, 10:08:37 PM
But the truth is I have always thought of this for a long time bitcoin looks like there are many coin in it, because manner at which this coin values, if you add four coins value together they won't still reach its value, though this is my thought.

Bitcoin no get many coins inside oh, na only Bitcoin dey there, the value big as e big because of the power of demand and supply, Bitcoin get very low supply just 21 million wey dey like this so imagine all the demand wey e get yet na only 21 millions wey person fit buy unlike all this altcoins wey dey get billions of supply. The more the demand of Bitcoin dey increase the more the price go dey go up and na why Bitcoin better pass all this altcoins as guarantee dey say demand go dey come for Bitcoin side but this altcoins no get guarantee as you fit self no know which one wey people go hype for the upcoming market season so e just better you stay with wetin you know say no matter how e go be, e must rise due to the demand wey the market go get after halving wey dey come up.

One thing you need to know be say, in life there are bound to be competitions. If there are no competitions, it means say, your product no make sense. Just like Gold Is tested by fire, Bitcoin has been tested, is still being tested, and will continue to be tested by the emergence of many minor coins whose orientation, originality and stability is no where comparable to bitcoin.

I no see all this altcoins as competition to Bitcoin self because their weight no reach na. If na adoption dem no get, Ethereum self wey me I been dey think say go fit challenge Bitcoin for the top spot for adoption and trading volume done go mumu change algorithm and now e dey staking wey just dey give power to those with the highest amount of Ethereum to control the market and centralized the blockchain more. We supposed know say na whales and exchange go get the most power for the staking algorithm as na dem go get the most Ethereum. Altcoins dey compete among demselfs as dem dey find who go come out second to Bitcoin and not having any competition with Bitcoin. Bitcoin just dey him own line and miles ahead of the other cryptocurency dem.
339  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Ai a threat to Nigerias educational system on: November 28, 2023, 09:49:25 PM
Nigeria because we do study hard for it but I doubt in 10 years time if we will be able to say this again because of the high rate of student turning to this Ai thing basically I see it helpful a little bit but I will still encourage you to still  study so you wouldn't be taken unaware with wrong answers.

Wetin dey cause this one na say, students dun see say nothing come out from the education system as after you spend all the 4 years for school, everything you learn nothing you go fit use am do as work no dey so na to dey find other hustle wey go pay you while you dey school. Now students dey look for quicker means to use commot the school and na wetin make sorting dey increase for university. Another thing na to use AI use do your assignments dem wey go help you get better score so e for boost your final score and you no need to sort much.

If you no use the short cuts dem, people dey wey go use am and do better than you so next time, you no get option but to follow dem use. If Nigerian students go overseas dem go still do well because no be as a result of wetin dem dey teach us wey dey make us dey brilliant but due to our own hustle. The system there dey encouraging and how we dey succeed no go change.

What exactly should we expect from a country where we have an illiterate ruling us as the president of the country, I personally do not see Ai as a threat to our educational system, but rather, a technology that will bring alot of improvement into our educational system if well applied, managed and regulated.

We no get a system wey we go fit implement AI technology for our teaching sector and make it work, instead we go use am wrongly as student no go dey interested for learning again instead dem go go for the answer to any exam questions, students no dey read to know when dem dey Nigerian schools, dem dey read and learn to pass exam and na all the focus be dat so AI for this side go get more negative impact. We first need to change our educational systems as e dun lose the values e been get before. Imagine say the way our forefathers been learn na so we still dey learn. The school curriculum need to be changed to the 21st century learning pattern then na when any involvement of AI go come work for the schooling system.
340  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bad market for businesses wey de accept bitcoin. on: November 28, 2023, 09:29:40 PM
I don't like this one but you can also use bitcoin on other blockchain, I think bsc has one of the biggest liquidity of bitcoin. You can simply receive bitcoin token in large quantities and when you are done, send them to an exchange and then withdraw real bitcoin quick. Note that the bitcoin on other chain are not be hold, once you are done having them, send them to exchange where you can withdraw real bitcoin to your personal wallet address.

The suggestion no bad as e go help make confirmation faster since some blockchain get a very fast confirmation speed pass Bitcoin blockchain but why I no go advice make we use Bitcoin on other blockchain na say, you no dey promote the use of Bitcoin well to begin with and you dey exposed yourself and customers to the volatility of Altcoins as those Bitcoin wey dey those other Blockchain are basically altcoins. Scammers fit send you a different Bitcoin wey no dey the main smart contract of the real pegged Bitcoin and if you no dey very observant dem go scam you. Scammers will create multiple pegged Bitcoin that are fake and newbies wey no sabi wetin dey sup go fall victim.

But if you are scared that the Naira will lose it's value before the the high transaction cost for bitcoin network go reduce, I go come suggest you use the same amount you sell out and convert it to USD or USDT. By doing this you won't run any loss, and you can easily use the usd or usdt and buy bitcoin when the high cost is reduced. As a business man don't ever lose a customer because of one payment platform is experiencing little problem.

As you dey accept Bitcoin, you no go only accept Bitcoin na if you be wise business man. Altcoins are a part of the industry anyhow we like am or not so using some other altcoins when Bitcoin dey experience some downside no bad. You fit also accept stablecoin, usdt is one of the most traded stablecoin and you fit decide to accept am as the transaction fee no too cost and you fit get quick liquidity when you wan sell. Immediately Bitcoin network returns to normal, you fit begin to accept Bitcoin back. Just as you talk, e no wise to lose customers irrespective of the reasons as dat person fit discourage potential customers from patronizing you and na so more go dey go another place go buy something. Always put your customers need first so make dem comfortable at all times.
