1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban has declared that he has dumped most of his bitcoin on: May 23, 2026, 07:25:09 AM
If Mark Cuban is disappointed because it doesn't pump the way gold did, that's okay but totally his opinion.

Did he forget that Bitcoin is doing 6x from $20k to $120k and suddenly because it doesn't blew the way gold did, it's suddenly become disappointing?

His statement kinda expecting Bitcoin to do double bullrun.
he disappointed his own self for setting up unrealistic expectations. we all are hoping for the best but it’s not fair to throw a tantrum if it doesn’t happen. but big personalities like him tend to spread fud or fomo around depending on what is advantageous to them.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Unregulated Online Gambling is beating regulated online gambling on: May 23, 2026, 02:43:41 AM
This is something many of us are not aware of; all we know is that gamblers' preferences have always been on regulated casinos for their protection, so with this figure, can we conclude that unlicensed or unregulated gambling markets are the much prefer of gamblers, or gamblers just don't care as long as the casino has a good reputation in the community

Well, numbers don't lie, so that must be the case that gamblers doesn't care if the platform is regulated or not. Just like in our country, the Philippines, I still see most gamblers really playing on unregulated gambling sites that our government has banned.

So maybe it's not about the license anymore, perhaps those unregulated have been paying their customers very quick and without any withdrawal issues that's why gamblers still prefers them.
we also have to look at the “perks” of these unregulated gambling markets. a lot of them will not require you to sign in or enter numerous documents. no need to connect a bank account. anything “informal” way of deposit and withdrawal will always be deemed better than the regulated casinos.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Why stability is the most valuable resource! on: May 22, 2026, 10:26:50 PM
A stable country with fewer resources will surely out perform one richer with resources, as we've seen with countries of the world. In comparison a country like Belgium with fewer resources is outperforming a supposedly oil rich nation like Nigeria.
my country also has abundant resources but is not being used well. countries that have fewer resources gain resources from countries like ours which is what makes them stable. it’s crazy how even though we are the ones with resources we can’t help our own country to be better
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting rich off Bitcoin is impossible for the majority on: May 17, 2026, 01:53:44 PM
Making Profit is the only thing that I can guarantee anyone who is investing in Bitcoin today, but getting rich by buying Bitcoin? I don't think that's completely true.

I believe that being of service is what will get anyone rich, if I am wrong why are your favourite Crypto YouTubers wanting to make videos every day to get paid by YouTube service?
I kind of agree with this, it's only the first generation of investors that made a fortune from investing in Bitcoin..today to make money off BTC one really has to inject real capital for small profits.. probably it would be safe to say the Return on capital when it comes to BTC as of 2026 isn't great !! But not to discourage anybody, we should also remember no business today will pay you crazy profits, slow but steady is the name of the game...

whoever is early will always be the ones to benefit the most

as the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. even with new projects these days, investors aim to be the first ones before anyone else to make the most money out of everyone who will come after them. it doesn’t mean bitcoin isn’t profitable nor beneficial anymore today,
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your outmost opinion is needed on: May 17, 2026, 01:17:30 PM
mining bitcoin would give you faster return but holding bitcoin will most likely give you bigger returns especially if you plan to hold long term. mining bitcoin can be profitable if you know how to improve and expound. but if you just remain in a small bubble, it won’t be as profitable
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about voters decides if they allow gambling to be legalize in their country? on: May 11, 2026, 11:29:06 AM
my country is full of devout christians and catholics who condemn gambling but at the same time gambling rates are high in my country. it’s hard to say for sure because there will be those who would be strongly against even if they gamble themselves. it might be a close call but gambling may end up becoming legal if voters were to decide.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will be the world with payment medium as only bitcoin ? on: May 11, 2026, 09:55:26 AM
Bitcoin is already being used as a form of payment, in my opinion, less than it should be, but its use is already a reality. I think it's impossible for it to become the only form of payment used worldwide; we still have many other forms of value that could be used for the same purpose.
even before bitcoin reached the point of being this valuable, people have already been using bitcoin as a mode of exchange and it’s unlikely to stop. bitcoin is beneficial especially to those who want to make transactions from and to a different country. it’s more seamless than banks. but again, its volatility will prove to be difficult for everyone to adopt.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs to detect a fake crypto Exchange on: May 08, 2026, 07:37:05 AM
one more thing to look out for is the age of the exchange. be wary of exchanges that have only existed for a few months. even be more careful when you are one of the first few customers. scammers don't often last that long since they want the profit asap and they dont want to spend even more money anymore. the most it will last would probably be a year.
9  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin And How It Slowly Changes The Way You Think About Time. on: May 08, 2026, 07:26:40 AM
So in a way, Bitcoin is not just teaching patience alone, it’s exposing who can actually stay patient. And maybe that’s why some people say bitcoin is more than money, it slowly rewires how you think about time, decisions, and discipline without you even noticing.
it takes a while for people to reach a point where they are finally financially responsible and intelligent. not everyone who is involved in bitcoin will be financially responsible though because some will still have skewed priorities in life and bitcoin will not be the one to change that. those people will even think that bitcoin is a tool for their false realities of getting rich effortlessly. those days are long gone. you need to be patient and disciplined in order to profit with bitcoin.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football club history when predicting on: May 08, 2026, 07:12:28 AM
the past of the football club doesn't matter if certain things have changed for example: the line up of players, the coaching staff, the management and etc. if those things have changed then you should only focus on the present facts since the past has no bearing anymore. maybe the club's history will only be essential when gambling when we take into consideration the fans that they have and their betting habits.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't overthink -WIN on: May 07, 2026, 11:54:24 PM
it also goes both ways. if you overthink and not too confident with your bet, you might change your bet even though that was the winning bet already. sometimes not thinking too much can actually be great lol.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people actually want CBDC? on: May 01, 2026, 08:09:34 AM
I don’t think CBDC will kill crypto, but it might split users into two groups:
those who don’t care much about privacy and those who actually do.

Curious what you guys think - is this really the future or am I missing something?
the split has already happened

you will see those who buy etfs for example are those who don’t really give much of a care about decentralization or privacy so most likely they are also the ones who will benefit from cbdc

as crypto grows, so the kind of people that knows and engages with it
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you compare a product prices in different shops before purchasing it? on: May 01, 2026, 07:35:04 AM
I'm certain this already exist online such as one or few places in cryptocurrency world, but could be abit difficult to be replicated properly in physical world
yes it’s easier to do online because you only need to get a few clicks to compare but the disadvantage is that you won’t be able to actually see or feel the quality of the product. you might buy a cheaper one but it might get delivered to you in bad condition
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I no longer believe the "too volatile" excuse for not accepting Bitcoin. on: May 01, 2026, 07:17:52 AM
I used to believe that Bitcoin was too volatile to use for accepting daily payments as a merchant or vendor. I even made points here on the forum stating how I understand people who don't accept it. But right now, I think my position on the matter has changed; I no longer buy the "too volatile excuse". Bitcoin is totally worth it, even though it is volatile.
this volatility is what makes bitcoin an attractive investment anyway. obviously high returns equal high risks. we can’t just have it too easy. if it wasn’t volatile there would be little to no progress.
Quote
Edit: The reason I brought Volatility into this is that it is one of the main reasons businesses give for not accepting Bitcoin as payment. And the way I see it right now, I'd rather chose volatility than for someone else to hold and control my money for me, while giving me the illusion that I own and control the money when in reality, I've given then a no-interest loan.
bitcoin may not be perfect but it’s a lot better than the existing system we have got with fiat and banks. it’s not a flawless system but at least it continues to improve
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Registered only vs Licensed Casino on: April 27, 2026, 11:15:20 PM
Some casinos mention “registered under ___” in their TOS, and many users already think that means they are licensed.

But company registration is not always the same as a gambling license.

If a casino claims to be licensed, I think they should show the license number and the actual license provider. Then users should verify it directly from the regulator’s website, not just trust what the casino wrote.

For me, TOS is not enough. The license should be checkable.

Do you verify the license number, or is the TOS enough for you?
pretty sure that if a casino has publicly stated that they are registered then we can check it ourselves. if they are not actually registered we could report them. a casino saying they are registered or licensed but actually isn’t would most likely face trouble for claiming false statements.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think if not the war we could have experience higher surge? on: April 27, 2026, 10:29:39 PM
since you are aware that the bear market is definitely on swing, we should expect that even without the war the market will not be seeing higher prices. it’s just been made more complicated with how investors and traders change their perspective on high risks investments
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was centralized, would the price of BTC go down or up? on: April 24, 2026, 10:22:18 PM

1. Made it so that Bitcoin could truly handle, natively, every single daily transaction on the planet for essentially zero transaction cost and millisecond-level clearing time, making it so that Bitcoin could truly replace all financial transactions, even the tiniest ones, and it would do it at a lower cost and higher speed than credit cards.

2. Mostly killed the idea of "decentralization" for Bitcoin because the new architecture would be controlled by a single entity or a small cooperative of closely coordinated entities that would maintain nodes tightly together, killed PoW, etc. etc.

first of all that’s not happening

if btc becomes more centralized and an entity takes over its authority then surely they will try to get as much profits not only to sustain their efficient operations but also for more money
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm i doing it all wrong? Or maybe that how early 20's is.... on: April 19, 2026, 12:57:12 AM
probably everyone in their 20s have felt this way. that’s how you know you’re in the right path, if you’re also confused lol. but don’t worry too much about it because this is the time for exploration and finding your identity
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You Should Keep Proof of Casino Deposits on: April 17, 2026, 11:15:48 PM
some people really do take records of their gambling in case they forget it themselves. especially if they have a habit of making multiple bets in a short period of time.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Can oil still dominate in a renewable world? on: April 11, 2026, 12:06:11 PM
Crude oil nations well definitely survive, the truth is that, ever since the world discovered oil, the usage of oil has continued to metamorphosed from one stage to the other, from combustion engines to now electric cars and bikes, all of this new modern technologies still usei oil one way or the other, engine must certainly use grease oil to lubricate the movement of the crankshaft and other parts of it that uses lubricant, same thing go with the hydraulic oil and rest of them. So nations that have oil will definitely not be too affected by the renewable energy emergence, oil and it's over 2000 byproducts will still be needed at the international market and those nations will continue to make money.

Renewable energy still needs oil to operate. Oil is a natural resource, just like you have said, it can be used for various things in life. Most especially to run big engines. Renewable energies (solar, hydropower, biofuels, wind energy) are not sustainable for the long term. Electric cars need electricity to operate if there is no electricity from major source, you will have to use a generator to generate electricity.
the point of renewable energy sources is that we don’t all depend on oil alone take a look at today’s current situation where oil is limited and its price is skyrocketing so if we didn’t depend completely on oil, this wouldn’t happen and life would be a little easier
