Thank you all for the input.
All these cards are bios modded and I always patch using 1.4.5. Tried 1.4.6 and same. 1.4.7 seemed to be a fake one.
Yes I update windows to the latest. The reason is that I did the update is that XMR-Stak is kind of slow and consumes more power for v8 so I want to use SRBMiner, which will use the 18.5.1 driver. So I thought why not just update everything to date. well guess i am wrong.
Finally I went back to the previous version of windows and reset the pc. Now everything works except I am still using xmr-stak with beta blockchain driver and very old windows 10, which can not remote in because my client pc is fully updated...

So I am totally out of ideas how to fix this.
My rig has 4x rx 480 and 2x 570. Few days ago I updated the windows 10 to latest and DDU the driver and reinstalled 18.6.1. And got code 43 error on one 480 and one 570. Tried different drivers and it is always these two cards has code 43 error. I tried to set either gen1 or gen2 in BIOS (latest as well), no go. Everything works perfect in the last few months. I used patcher every time after I installed the driver.
Any idea how to fix it? The motherboard is Asrock AB350 gaming k4. TIA.

I don’t understand why people jump off raven , i have around 12 1080ti 1070ti and 1070 mix rigs on raven the last two months , price has been steady and diff is even dropping , lowesr i mined was 3000 a day now im at 5k a day with the same hash , thats near $160 a day which is double what i earned doing eth. and 1/3 more on anything else, its steady consistent and easy, I might buy some lux mine a bit of peigon but profits on raven has only been getting better i have around 900 mhs
Wow that is incredible. What miner are you using? I am using enemy miner with 6 1070s and 6 1060s. I can only get 400 - 500 each day. What am I missing?

Hi everyone. I have got a vega 56 rig with six of them flashed to vega 64 bios. Running at 1100. The average hashrate is about 1900 h/s each. The power consumption is about 1100w. Is this normal? The other question is, I am still using xmr-stak-amd. Do I need to change to a new miner for March 28 algo change? if so, what is the best choice now? TIA.

^ So you mean you dont have the pdf file? did you check it on your recycle bin? Or did you try data recovery tools? or system restore from windows?
If you can recover your PDF file you still have a chance. just give it a try.
I have pdf file. The problem is, the file is not complete as seen in the web page when I created the keys. Part of it is not printing.

Thanks for all your reply. The default printer setting cut off the most private key part and only a few characters left. I guess I had to give up them. Well, good lesson learned.

So I believe I made a terrible mistake. After I used the walletgenerator to generate a paper wallet, I printed it to a pdf file and saved it. I used the public address to mine and to receive my coins. Today when i opened the pdf file and turned out the printing is not full. That is, part of the private key is missing...
Does this mean I can never use the coins in the public address? Is there any way to recover? TIA!!!

if your rig stuck a few times a day, usually it is not video cards issue or overclock. It is the riser. Disable video card one by one to find out which card cause the issue and change the riser. I have the same issue before and after i changed to a new riser problem solved.

1. Do not use newest driver. Use the blockchain beta driver instead. 2. Mod bios. Google it you will find how.
Thank you for your help MingMining! use blockchain driver, solved the problem. Then I bumped into other problem but now all solved. I got 24mhs for msi rx 570 4gb. next stop I m looking to do bios mod. I found a pointer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954245.0from the article, it said when doing bios mod, only the target gpu shoud be in the system. I am wondering that can I simply disable the driver in device manager or I have to unplug physcially? If you tell which card is which, yes you can do it at the same time without unplug them. But it is difficult to find out and I would rather just unplug them and mod one by one.

Hi guys,
I have a 1060 and a rx 570 laying around and want to mine some coins. However, a lot of equiHash coins or cryptonight coins are so difficult to mine now. So could you recommend some low diff coins for them?
Thanks!

And if you downclock your cards with power limit, 1000w should be enough for your rig given you buy some quality psu like evga, seasonic or corsair. 1200w is of cause better but is way more expensive.
Make sure you power limit your 1060 cards if you use one power cable for two of them.
|
|
|
Yes you can use two risers out of one molex or sata cable from psu. By book you should not but actually you can. I use them this way for half a year and they are ok.
And you can use one pci-e power cable for two 1060 cards. i did this on two 1070 or 570/580 cards no problem.

Hi Thanks for reply Dose it matters celeron Pentium or i3 for 6 gpu? Socket 1150 What is the role of cpu while using 1 or 6 or more than 6 gpu If I go for Pentium 1150 which one will be good ?
If you do not mine using cpu then any cpu would be good enough so choose the one that consumes less power.

PLEASE HELP!!!
My windows 10 - 4 * Vega64 rig has always behaved in this manner;
On any given boot/reboot, it will detect a random number of cards (1-4) in roughly this proportion; * 80% of the time it will detect 3 cards * 10% of the time it will detect 2 cards * 5% of the time it will detect 1 card * 5% of the time it will detect 4 cards
This is incredibly frustrating and sometimes I have to remote in and reboot 15-25 times in a row just to get all 4 cards showing up! If I'm lucky, it will work first time.
Is this a known problem? are there any available solutions?
I have a 4 * Vega56 rig that never behaves like this, 100% of the time 4 cards are seen in Windows.
check your pci risers, i bet my balls you connected them with sata or some of them are faulty Agree. It has to be the pci-e risers. Sata connection is ok though. I bought some Rosewill riser from newegg. Very stable.

Same thing happened to me when I first get mine so you probably do not need to worry about it. By default, in bios setting, it should be set to ON after power resumes. If not, set it to ON. You should see the cpu fan running the first time you connect everything. If not, unplug the 24pin mb power cable and plug in again.

Hi there,
I have a little bit ETH balance in nanopool. It is like 0.07 and is less than their min payout (0.1). I do not want to mine ETH for now and in the next few months. Is there anyway to get it out? If not and I just leave it there, will it be confiscated by nanopool if there is no activity for that account in a long time?
