201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone can test these 6 Pcie slots Ryzen mobos? on: July 09, 2017, 11:14:08 PM
Why anyone would buy some of these boards is beyond me when rigging a Z270A with M.2 and PCIE multipliers gets you at least 11 GPUs for cheaper is beyond me.

Biostar TB350 BTC, AM4 motherboard has been fairly easy to setup here so far, a pair of rigs running now with 6 GPUs each and we have 3 more being built atm.
I think we can use this mobo with 6x GPUs and ryzen 1700x to mine by both GPU and CPU, is it more profitable than 6 GPUs and a much cheaper CPU to mine by GPUs only?

Any of the Ryzen CPUs can mine enough to pay for their cost within the first 6-12 months. I'd go for the cheapest model that had the number of cores you want though, so for a 8 core Ryzen I'd get the 1700 at ~$300. We're running R5 1600s on 5 of our mining rigs and they can all do ~450 hashrate on Monero, which is good for $1/day right now. There are other more profitable CPU minable coins too, some twice as profitable even. Smiley

How do you make GPU and CPU mining at the same time? Care to share any tutorial? Thanks!

1. Run GPU miner
2. Run CPU miner
3. Huh
4. PROFIT!!

Thanks! Could you also share the cpu and gpu miner names? Don't they fight each other for cpu?

Update: Turned out its my bios setting. I should set the memory mapping to enabled. When disabling this feature, my 6G system memory can only be seen as 2G thus the error.

Hi guys,

So here is the problem. I have modded these two cards, one by one, using Anorak's bios. Patched both after modded. Tested on Calymore's dual miner, worked perfectly. Both cpu-z and afterburner can recognize them. BUT, when I put them together, while device manager still show two cards with no issue, afterbuner can only show one of them with right information. The other one is recognized but all information are zero. When i started Claymore's dual miner, it said "EthDcrMiner64.exe has stopped working" and exited. I tried all different pci-e slots, installed and uninstalled many times. I even installed a clean win 10 x64. Nothing works. Separated, they work perfectly. Together, miner did not work at all. Before I modded them, I put them in the same box and they work with 21 m hashrate but stable. Now they did not even start...

When claymore's dula miner stopped working, it did not really recognize the cards. Both card are 4GB but the miner read as 3GB for each.

The rom i am using:

Anoraks_Powercolor RX 570 RedDragon 4GB Hynix Elpida_memshift-1500.rom106 (256 KB)

and

Anoraks_Powercolor RX 570 RedDevil 4GB Hynix-Elpida_memshift.rom39 (256 KB)

Please help. I am out of ideas how to do with them now.

Thanks.
