361  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: July 17, 2023, 04:54:55 AM

You have to understand one thing: even if ruble goes down to zero, the war WILL NOT STOP. Russia is a self-sufficient country, Putin is paying his tank factory workers in rubles. People in Russia are buying groceries in rubles. They are paying for utilities in rubles. Sanctions can't stop the war and can't overthrow Putin.
In my opinion, there is nothing to brag about in this situation. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has already lost more than 237,000 of its soldiers in Ukraine, who, with weapons in their hands, came to conquer the neighboring state and kill Ukrainians. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, which is reported to Putin weekly, irretrievable losses have already exceeded 300,000. If we take into account the generally accepted statistics that there are usually three times more wounded than those killed, then Russia has already lost more than a million of its soldiers in Ukraine. And this is for the sake of the imperial ambitions of Putin, who in the 21st century decided to prove himself a great conqueror of neighboring states?

But if the Russians have not yet completely drunk their brains away, then sooner or later the instinct of self-preservation must turn on. Under pain of criminal liability, they are now forbidden to ask direct and uncomfortable questions to their rulers about this war. This allegedly discredits their army. But the obvious military defeat in Ukraine is sobering for many, and the recent riot of the Wagnerites is only the first bell in this direction. Putin's throne is already wobbly.
362  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: July 15, 2023, 07:09:57 AM
Indeed, the impact of the war between Russia and Ukraine which has been going on for almost 1 year has had a major impact on the world economy. Many countries in Europe have experienced food shortages as a result of Russia banning exports, especially since oil prices have soared. If the war is not finished soon, it is very likely that almost the entire world will experience an economic downturn.
The war of Russia against Ukraine has been going on for the 507th day, that is, next month it will be a year and a half since Putin ordered the Russian army to attack Ukraine with all its forces from the east and south, as well as from the territory of Belarus from the north. For many Ukrainians, every day spent under shelling and bombing of the entire territory of Ukraine is of great importance.
The biggest and bloodiest war in Europe since the Second World War, unleashed by the Putin regime in Russia, continues. Every day, tens of thousands of mines and shells explode on the territory of Ukraine. Of course, this cannot but affect soil pollution and environmental degradation in the region. Polluted rains with heavy metals will fall both in Russia and in Europe, and maybe even further. Therefore, the economic situation in the world will worsen.
363  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic effect of people flying from RF mandatory conscription on: July 14, 2023, 04:08:20 PM
That's right, military service indeed makes the economy disturbed, a person who is supposed to work and get a daily wage must lose the wage, I think that military service must be immediately eliminated because I think the impact is also not significant.
Universal conscription should be in all countries. Another thing is where and how it should take place and how long it will last. You cannot fully rely on a contract professional army alone.
In history, idiots like Putin often appear in Russia, who suddenly find themselves calling to conquer a neighboring state. What will happen if the professional army is defeated, and the rest of the men of the state that was attacked never held a weapon in their hands? Then the fall of such a state would be absolutely logical. No, all men of military age should always be ready to defend their country.
364  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank of Russia to Pilot CBDC in April on: July 14, 2023, 07:02:38 AM
Instead of making up some digital ruble crap they could just embrace Bitcoin instead. There is no real way to filter out all tx made by the Russians and stop/ban them. They could just keep their profit gained by selling fossil fuels in Bitcoin, without withdrawing or converting it to rubles or any other currency. Operating like this, it would be pretty impossible to trace and stop these transactions.
Precisely because bitcoin cannot be tracked and stopped transactions, Russia as a state will never accept it as legal tender on its territory. In any case, this will not happen in the near future. Now the Russian government is coming to the fore to prevent the flight of capital abroad, which is now happening massively due to the failed war in Ukraine. And the introduction of bitcoin or another decentralized cryptocurrency will contribute to the uncontrolled outflow of money abroad. But this is for citizens. No laws are written for the government itself in Russia. Therefore, at the government level, bitcoin can be used, but this will be classified information to the public.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: July 13, 2023, 05:00:54 AM
I'm sorry everyone, but I don't find it very accurate to evaluate wars from an economic point of view. Thousands of children have died due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Syria and other parts of the world. Now we have to talk about keeping children alive. However, if I have to talk about the economic instability caused by the war, I think the biggest problem was observed in agricultural products. As agriculture in Ukraine came to a standstill due to the war, many parts of the world suffered from wheat-induced famine.

It is striking that when you describe the situation about the death of children in Ukraine, you do not indicate the real cause of their death and their perpetrators, but call what is happening a "conflict in Ukraine." The Russian army is attacking Ukraine with all its military might, trying to seize its territory. The length of active hostilities is more than 1,200 kilometers of the front, where tens of thousands of mines and shells explode every day. More than 90 percent of the entire Russian army is now on the territory of Ukraine, and it is Russian soldiers who are now killing civilians in Ukraine, including children, women and the elderly.

The Russians are also openly robbing Ukraine and its population, taking stolen grain and other agricultural products, as well as medical equipment from hospitals and absolutely everything that can be stolen and of any value into their territory. Well, what can you do, Russia is a nation of thieves, murderers and rapists. Therefore, in a civilized world, they should be feared.

Ukraine does not have conflicts with Russia, it is protected from attacks on its territory.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: July 12, 2023, 02:05:24 PM
I just have a rough guess that the altcoin season gonna be in 2024. because right this year too much thing are gonna be preventing the altcoin season from surfacing because something like lawsuits and many more.
overall its just not really a good time for altcoin season to appear because if even it is appearing it would gets hold back by these problems.

Maybe you are speculating about the halving and there's really a high chance that we might experience that especially when bitcoin have a good run at that season. For sure altcoins prices will be  brought up to knowing that it always paired up with BTC when we talk about trading it.

Also I don't think the issue about lawsuit on exchange and altcoin can affect those possible bull run that might happen since most provably people will forgot about that issues and focus to accumulate since halving hype is much stronger than any other issues.
It is unlikely that the altcoin season should be expected earlier than the middle or end of this autumn. The second half of the summer has almost never been characterized by a good price growth of the cryptocurrency market. As for the price of altcoins next year, 2024, the probability of altcoin season is much higher here. However, it should be noted that after the Bitcoin halving in 2024, it begins to rise sharply in price within six to ten months after this event, and the altcoin season begins after Bitcoin reaches a certain price rise. That is, if you count on the price effect of the Bitcoin halving, then the altcoin season will not be soon.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What role have altcoins played in cryptocurrency industry on: July 12, 2023, 01:48:53 PM
Have alternatives cryptocurrencies help the growth and adoption of cryptocurrency in the global market and how far have the presence of alternatives cryptocurrency help the industry positively?
Or Negatively?

Altcoins have impacted the cryptocurrencies market in a positive and negative way. Some positive way are, without Ethereum and its own blockchain we won't have had the various decentralized application we have in the market from exchange to wallets and different application that are decentralized.
Without Ethereum we won't have defi, metaverse and ico that help people by giving them opportunity to invest in early projects that gave them big profits. Altcoins give people profits and also losses. Altcoins made many scammers to get away with their scams and that cause people to have problem trusting the market.
Other projects has contribution to the growth of the industry but everything started from Ethereum and it'll still continue that way because they keep improving on the blockchain to adapt to the new waves coming into the market like migrating from POW to POS and now they'll have lesser fees that'll attract developers.
Indeed, altcoins have made a significant contribution to the development of useful properties, services and conveniences in the cryptocurrency market. Without altcoins, this market would be much poorer and less attractive. But on the other hand, it was thanks to the emergence of altcoins that there were massive cases of fraud in this market, as well as useless and openly fraudulent projects. However, the market itself will eventually remove everything useless from it. Therefore, in general, altcoins play a very positive role in the development of cryptocurrency and increase its liquidity.
368  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 11, 2023, 04:48:13 AM
Countries that are good in agriculture have made good progress in the economy. More countries have begun to concentrate on agriculture. Even the corporate networks have begun to focus on agriculture. Microsoft have bought agricultural lands considering the future. These corporate firms were more futuristic, which means they have well understood the future and working on it.

The worst happening with agriculture is the lack of importance given. Most of the time third parties eat the profit. Governments need to make arrangements, because people find it hard and don't enjoy the good out of their efforts.

The development of agriculture in any country should be encouraged by the state. However, it may not develop successfully in all countries. It depends largely on the climate, and on the fertility of the soil, its condition, and, more recently, on climate change in a particular region. But in any case, the government should take stimulating measures for it to develop. After all, according to forecasts, in the future with food, humanity may have problems.
369  Economy / Economics / Re: Eu Cina vs USA russia oil vs Green energy on: July 10, 2023, 05:00:40 AM
In my opinion, even China will not be able to capture all of Russia.

First, the Chinese army has no combat experience.  In practice, the Chinese army may prove to be an ineffective structure (even taking into account its large numbers).

At one time (until February 24, 2024), I listened to Strelkov-Girkin's arguments about how he planned to annex the territory of Ukraine to Russia.  And I understood from his words that in order to manage and control such a large territory, a lot of people are needed - soldiers, policemen, etc.

And this is subject to the complete destruction of the regular army.

And in order to capture and control such a vast territory as Russia, such a huge army of security forces is needed, which even China does not have.

By the way, this is one of the reasons why foreign intervention against the young Russian Republic at the beginning of the 20th century failed.
It is hardly worth agreeing with your opinion. Almost the entire combat-ready army of Russia perished on the territory of Ukraine. That is, the military experience of the Russians was very short-term. In Russia, they continue to mobilize those who do not have combat experience into the army, and they are almost immediately thrown into the assault on the fortified positions of the Ukrainians, where they die ingloriously. Now the opinion is being expressed that two or three brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may well be on Moscow and capture it. After all, there are no longer any significant military formations in Russia itself. That is why the Kremlin is now demanding a truce through the mouths of Lukashenka, Orban and other assistants.
China, with its population of almost one and a half billion people, can easily capture the whole of Russia without any problems. But China has the opportunity to do this not by military means, but by purely economic means. Apparently, the bet is already being made on this option.

Honestly, I don't know what you're saying. Do you have any proof for what you say? or just because you're on the side of the Ukrainian army, you spread baseless bullshit. I don't live in Russia, but as far as I know, Russia is dominating Ukraine. Another thing is Russia is the biggest nuclear power in the world, and China or any other country that intends to attack Russia is the stupidest thing they will do. And why should they go to war when China is reaping so many benefits from doing business with Russia?
Real confirmation of the fact that there are very few combat-ready troops left in Russia itself, because almost all of them are at war in Ukraine, are raids on the border regions of Russia by the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDC) and the Svoboda Legion, which almost unhindered captured a number of border with Ukraine Russian settlements. In addition, the "campaign of justice" of the Wagnerites against Moscow on June 23-24 also showed this. They left the territory of Ukraine, passed Rostov, Voronezh, and other regions of Russia, destroyed seven helicopters and one aircraft of the Russian Air Force along the way, and turned back 200 kilometers from Moscow. At this time, near Moscow, they began to hastily collect barrage detachments from the remnants of the police and military, who were on vacation. If desired, the Wagnerites, led by Prigogine, could well then seize Moscow and arrange a military coup in Russia.
370  Economy / Economics / Re: New currency from BRICS countries on: July 10, 2023, 04:29:22 AM
Couple of hours ago there is in news on Twitter saying BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) are developing a new currency. It was mentioned by State Duma Deputy Chairmen btw.

As I can see all these things to manipulate BTC right? What are your thoughts about this?
I don't think so this will happen, BRICS isn't that big and that United organization that it can create it's own currency. Especially India and China Don't have those sweet relationships as well. Also even if for a second imagine it's true, this will not be because they want to manipulate bitcoin, it'll be because they want to counter the dominance of dollar and Euro in the world. So i don't think this is effecting bitcoin.

Talk about the new currency of the BRICS countries exists only at the level of the conversations themselves and no more. Although the Russian embassy in Kenya said "the BRICS countries are planning to introduce a new trading currency that will be backed by gold", the New Development Bank, a financial institution created by the BRICS bloc, said in an official statement that it does not have any immediate plans to create a single currencies.

Instead, BRICS members Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are pushing for more bilateral trade in local currencies. They are not ready to challenge the global dominance of the dollar.

Developing something alternative is more of a medium-to-long-term ambition," Leslie Maasdorp, vice president and chief financial officer of the New Development Bank, told Bloomberg. "There are currently no proposals to create a BRICS currency."

Before the virtual BRICS summit, Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar stated that "there is no idea of a BRICS currency". "Currencies will remain a national issue for a long time to come," Jaishankar added.

371  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank: If The Entire System Collapses, Gold Will Be Needed To Start Over on: July 07, 2023, 03:06:01 PM
Gold always had a value for human kind and that probably will never change. However, in the digital era it's oldfashioned and as far as I.know countries don't back up their national currencies in gold anymore. That is why remains unclear how could gold help to start over. Maybe for individuals but not for economy and financial systems in general.
The fiat system of states is unlikely to collapse overnight. In the world, the economy is always weaker in some states, stronger in others. At the same time, periodic financial crises not only have a bad effect on the development of the economy, but also bring certain benefits to it. At all times, they complained about the imperfection of the financial system of states, but it continues to exist and so far there is no worthy and effective alternative to it.
Gold, like every financial asset, has its advantages and disadvantages. There is nothing ideal in our rough physical world. Therefore, we use different assets as money in relation to the current situation, and this is probably correct.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: July 06, 2023, 05:06:21 AM
We are experienced crypto industry turns into green recently and showed impressive waves of increasement. Although we can't consider this little movement as bull session but i must say, it is sign for bull start up in crypto industry and inspiration for investors who are buying crypto currencies and preparing for next bull run. So It'll be fair if i said "op is right" and its glad to see altcoins get pump and investors Coming back in this industry
the bullrun definitely isn't coming to june, but its indeed reflected by the market itself that cryptocurrency in general is slowly but sure recovering, I think its good sign as you said but you should also never forget
that the lawsuit isn't finished yet.
June has already passed, but we have not seen anything unexpected in terms of price jumps in the cryptocurrency market. But there are different forecasts on this issue, including many optimistic ones. Cryptocurrency presents us with a lot of surprises at the most unexpected moments. But I don't expect a bull market yet, because business activity in all markets traditionally dies down closer to the second half of summer. Apparently, a good rise in prices should be expected by autumn.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: July 06, 2023, 04:51:45 AM
Scam, death both have in altcoins market so why you want investing altcoins?
My opinion buy dip and sold faster on some profits like to be best revenge for all altcoins investors!
What's your skills and opinion?
Altcoin is not a single coin, its a term used for every cryptocurrencies apart from bitcoin so even if 50% of market dominance under bitcoin still there is room for another 50% that is the factor drives the investors to make money apart from bitcoin. Investing on cheap coin can go as complete loss or can give 100x returns in very short term.
It should also be noted that it is altcoins that have a lot of useful functions for doing business, concluding transactions, generally providing various useful services and amenities to people that bitcoin does not have. Blockchain technology provides a lot of advantages in various areas of human activity, including if it is connected to finance in the form of cryptocurrency. In addition, altcoins are still improving, thanks to the open source code and the ability for everyone to create their own altcoins, this process is very fast, although it has its drawbacks.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: Quick peak to the latest world economic situation 2023 eur usd and others on: July 05, 2023, 08:05:12 PM
I largely disagree with your conclusions. Ukraine, after Russia's attack on it, is indeed now receiving a lot of financial assistance from the civilized world, including in dollars and euros. This is understandable. After all, part of the territory of Ukraine was occupied by Russian invaders, many industrial enterprises were destroyed, millions of Ukrainian citizens were forced to leave the country to escape the daily rocket attacks throughout Ukraine. But Ukraine is not only an agrarian country. Since the time of the USSR, a large number of industrial enterprises have been concentrated in Ukraine. True, but I believe that the industrial potential in independent Ukraine (after 1991) was not used very effectively. In particular, the defense industry worked poorly, even after Russia's military aggression in 2014. But there are a number of objective reasons for this.

One can hardly agree that Russia is now continuing to buy gold. In Russia, there are now very big problems with finances and the budget. Therefore, she is not up to buying gold. On the contrary, the Kremlin is now trying to sell its gold reserves, especially in the UAE.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: July 04, 2023, 03:25:37 PM
~snip~
When I read your comment, I become a little stiff and my eyebrows raise in a combination of fear and skepticism. The allegations are catastrophic, perhaps cataclysmic, if true. Inflicting widespread damage on civilian infrastructure, flooding inhabited areas, and (most disturbing of all) mining nuclear power stations would be a flagrant breach of international law. Still, we need to proceed with caution in this informational minefield. A canister of smoke, "(mis)information" is frequently used as a weapon of war. Is there any proof that these events actually took place? In such cases, people everywhere will need to work together to avert disaster.

It's terrifying to think that natural calamities may be used as weapons, like playing Russian roulette with Mother Nature. Any such action would have far-reaching and terrible ramifications, not only for Ukraine but for the surrounding nations and regions as well. The stereotype of Russia as a crazed country that would bite off its own tail in a fit of rage is unsettling to many people. Wisdom and impartiality are our strongest allies in times of fear and uncertainty, so keep that in mind.
If you consider Russia a civilized country, then you probably have not seen what the recently flourishing cities and other settlements in the east and south of Ukraine have turned into, where the foot of the Russian occupier set foot. Completely scorched earth with dilapidated walls of multi-storey buildings or almost complete ruins on the site of private one-story houses, as well as mass "fraternal" burials of tortured and shot civilian Ukrainians with their hands tied and with bags on their heads just because they consider themselves Ukrainians and had in home or carry Ukrainian symbols or a tattoo. Therefore, at all checkpoints, Russians undress Ukrainians to check for such tattoos or information on a mobile phone.

On June 22, the President of Ukraine Zelensky announced to the whole world about the mining of the Zaporizhzhya NPP and warned that Russia was preparing to stage a terrorist attack at the ZNPP with a release of radiation. Therefore, the president promised to transfer all available information with all confirmations to Western partners.
The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, also confirmed that the Zaporozhye NPP was mined along the perimeter and in some places inside the plant. This information is completely open and not hidden. What other evidence is needed to understand that the Russians have long surpassed the Nazis in their cruelty and cynicism?

Every day in Ukraine, tens of thousands of shells, mines and rockets are fired at the front, over a thousand kilometers long, and civilians die every day. The most brutal and large-scale war since the Second World War is underway.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are now advancing through almost continuous minefields in the flat terrain of the southern steppes of Ukraine, where the Russians have an air superiority of about ten times. Not a single offensive military doctrine in the world provides for a major offensive with such superiority in enemy aircraft. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gradually moving forward along the entire front and knocking out equipment, especially enemy artillery systems. For several weeks, the southern front of the Russians will inevitably crumble.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: July 04, 2023, 10:40:15 AM
The Russian invaders, advancing on Ukrainian cities and other settlements, methodically destroyed everything that could serve as a shelter for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a refuge for civilians with a fire shaft. Retreating, trying to hold back the advance of the ASU, they also leave behind almost nothing but ruins.
Moreover, anticipating a military defeat in Ukraine, the Kremlin does not stop at committing large-scale environmental and man-made disasters that can cause damage not only to Ukraine, but also to the inhabitants of Russia itself and the population of other states.

So, in order to slow down the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of June 6, the Russian invaders blew up the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, flooding about 80 settlements of Ukraine. The economic impact of this has yet to be assessed. But residents of many African and Asian countries will experience a significant decrease in food supplies from Ukraine.

Now the Russian invaders have mined the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe. The Kremlin has already approved a plan to blow it up, and this will presumably happen after July 5, when the wind with radiation is expected to blow west towards Europe. The world has yet again practically not reacted to another possible major global catastrophe.

There has also been an increase in the movement of people and equipment near the Kursk nuclear power plant in Russia itself. Information appeared that the Russians were going to make a major accident there and blame Ukraine for this, and then, as a response, launch a nuclear strike. The Russians seem to be trying to prove how completely crazy they are. That's what the fear of a major military defeat from Ukraine does, the territory of which they tried to seize last year in a few days.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: July 04, 2023, 04:02:40 AM
The failed attempt to freeze Europe in order to secure concessions on Ukraine has caused a collapse for the Russian gas industry that it has not seen in half a century of its modern history. Gas production in the Russian Federation has been declining for the second year in a row, and compared to pre-war levels, it has decreased by 24%, follows from the statistics of Rosstat. In May, according to official data, the country produced 48.2 billion cubic meters of gas, although in the same month of 2022 it was 57.5 billion cubic meters, and in pre-war May 2021 - 63.1 billion cubic meters.

Possessing the world's largest gas reserves, estimated at 67 trillion cubic meters, Russia found itself unable to sell it after the Kremlin first demanded that European customers pay for supplies "in rubles", and then successively cut off all countries that refused to accept the ultimatum from the pipeline .

In Russia, the extra gas simply has nowhere to go: about 90 billion cubic meters of annual production is left without buyers. China, according to the plan for the operation of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, will buy 22 billion cubic meters of gas this year: 7 times less than the European Union imported before the war. And Putin's proposal to increase pumping to 100 billion cubic meters, voiced at a meeting with Xi Jinping in the Kremlin, remained unanswered. Instead of a new Russian pipe, China gave the go-ahead to a gas pipeline project from Turkmenistan.

It is already quite obvious that the Kremlin has committed an irreparable stupidity with the gas war with Europe and will no longer be able to get out of its own trap.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: The world continues dumping US dollar (Gold, New World Order, World War III) on: July 03, 2023, 02:37:40 PM
Economic wars have become a trend for the past few years, many countries have united to form special economic zones in the hope of protecting them from competition with countries in other regions, and when there is tension between countries, it is certain that it will have a global impact, especially when large countries are involved. such as China, Europe and so on.
Economic rivalry between large states and even their blocs and alliances has always been, is and will always be .. It is important that it does not turn into hot wars. But, unfortunately, throughout the existence of mankind, wars have been inevitable companions of our society. From time to time, such maniacs as Putin in Russia appear in the world, who recognize only force and cruelty against other states and there is simply no other way to suppress this aggressive force as a response force. If this continues further, our civilization will have the same result as the disappeared previous civilizations on our planet. Humanity has not yet learned anything.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: July 03, 2023, 02:12:36 PM
I don't consider all altcoins to be future or long-term gains. only a small part, for example BNB. my confidence level in BNB is over 95%. then why should ''hold'' long term? BNB is the most popular altcoin after ETH and BNB there is an altcoin that is supported by the largest exchange namely binance. there is no reason not to invest long term in BNB  Roll Eyes
Now there are already more than 26 thousand altcoins in the cryptocurrency market. Of these, we can name no more than a few dozen worthy of attention. Most of the altcoins, unfortunately, are garbage. But the cryptocurrency is still in the process of becoming. We hope that in general it will have a good future. But only the strongest will survive.
380  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: June 30, 2023, 06:56:51 AM

And the 6 Ukrainian citizens who posted the video were sentenced to 8 years in prison for publishing the video proof of the useless Patriot system being destroyed easily which harms the US arms industry Tongue

MIM-104 Patriot is not considered to be the best air-defense system available in the world. Recently, this system failed to prevent the Houthi rebels from targeting various oil refineries and storage facilities in Saudi Arabia using crude rockets. One of the staunches allies of the US, Turkey chose to purchase the S-400 system over the Patriot. The Russo-Ukrainian war has given an avenue for the Americans to get rid of these useless systems, in the name of defense aid to Ukraine. From what I have heard, these systems have proved quite inefficient against the Russian cruise and ballistic missiles.
The effectiveness of air defense depends not only on the type of weapons used, but also on the skillful actions of the people who use these weapons. Yesterday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to Colonel Serhiy Yaremenko, commander of the 96th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the Center Air Command, under whose command it was possible to repel massive air attacks on Kiev in May-June, without allowing any of the more than 200 targets to be accurately hit targets and have already destroyed 13 Russian "invincible" Kh-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles. If this is not the merit of the "Patriot" air defense system, then we can assume that the Ukrainians shoot down the vaunted "daggers" with small arms.

Only in Russia after this, three scientists from the Novosibirsk Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ITAM), who were involved in the creation of the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, were arrested.
