641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin End or Be Removed From System? on: October 14, 2017, 11:28:05 AM
We can't tell yet if the bitcoin will be removed from the market or degrade from its value and demand but i will surely say that from these days it is impossible for bitcoin to cease to exit and if that happens the blockchain technology will still be useful to the society as it have a great potential and traits over the bitcoin currency, the chance of the bitcoin to degrade will depends on the influence of the Government and countries that bans the digital currency and views it as a threat.

How will it become a threat to the government? Besides being decentralized. Thanks for the info.
Because bitcoin has no regulation and has no central authority that controls it, they can't impose tax to bitcoin as it is decentralized and anonymous that's why it can be a tool for unlawful criminal activities like scamming, fraud, money laundering and tax evasion that's why some countries like china bans bitcoin based on their statements but we know that they have their own motives and selfish reasons why. Regulation and Control that's what the Government wants specially to our currency that's why they hate it mostly the central banks.

643  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin change the distribution of wealth in the world? on: October 14, 2017, 07:34:32 AM
It is just the bridge or the way to distribute fair and neutral wealth to the society and to the people who knows crypto. Central banks, Goverment and any other Authorities in charge for the regulation for the wealth and currency controls and manipulate it for their own selfish reasons like pigs and crocodiles, blockchain technology introduce the freedom and fair way to manage and control your own wealth but the change is always depends to the people.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kenneth Rogoff, former IMF economist says "Bitcoin price will collapse" on: October 14, 2017, 07:22:49 AM
That's why Coinbase and Bitcoin exchanges implement AML and KYC regulations upon their websites to prevent such criminal activities to attract the use of bitcoin for their own unlawful acts, Kenneth Rogoff statements contains facts about the btc that is already happening everyday to the bitcoin users however USD has the same troubles and difficulties in terms of criminal activities. He just want to prove that the use of bitcoin is for criminals and money launderers making the USD a preferred and safe currency to use, the fact is the other way around that USD and any other currency are being used by the criminals also.
645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Regulations on: October 14, 2017, 06:55:17 AM
As long as the bitcoin is anonymous and it is the internet of money over the blockchain technology the regulations will be futile otherwise you are using an online app or browser type of wallet that you do not posses your own private key then some regulatory measures can apply. Government can ban the use of bitcoin by taking down local exchanges and websites that cater the transaction of BTC however it all depends to you or the individuals who use btc, as long as the bitcoin itself has no central authority that manage and control the regulations imposed will be useless to the community.
646  Other / Off-topic / Re: Freelancer VS Bitcoin on: October 14, 2017, 06:43:45 AM
Both of them are profitable if you found a decent deal for the profit, but you can do also a freelance bitcoin job the combination both of them, Freelance bitcoin type jobs can pay you some of good bitcoin amounts if you did a pretty good service to your and clients and if the rate is high, but for me i'm not gonna stick for just freelance or bitcoin opportunities but i will both grab them and find another deal as long as i can handle and work for them.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moving bitcoin before the new fork on: October 14, 2017, 06:27:31 AM
It is safe to move your coins before the fork however make it sure your bitcoins are secured by storing them on a cold storage like paper wallet or any other remedy just to secure for the upcoming bitcoin fork in November for the Gold, don't worry about the replay attack as it plans to implement strong replay protection against the attackers.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: It is safe to use virtual machine as a cold storage? on: October 13, 2017, 07:40:32 AM
I've come across with some post about using virtual machine to store your private key and make it as a cold storage wallet for your crypto coins.
I've never read this. I use VMs to install altcoin wallets I don't trust, to protect my host OS (and even this is said to pose a risk to the host OS, as malware might escape the VM).

Quote
My question is, it is safer to use VM instead of your original OS?
Once your host is compromised, it's best to assume your VM is compromised too. So no, it's not safer.

Quote
is it advisable to store my bitcoins to a VM?
I wouldn't do it.

Quote
increasing my immunity against the hackers of the private key and wallet?
If you want cold storage, you should start at it's definition: "Cold storage in the context of Bitcoin refers to keeping a reserve of Bitcoins offline."
The keyword is "offline": any private key that has ever touched anything online, can't be cold storage anymore. Unless your host OS has never been online (in which case hackers are not a risk), you'll have to re-think your setup.

Easiest and cheapest cold storage: print paper wallets offline, from a LIVE Linux DVD, on a dumb offline (laser)printer.
Thanks for the clear and straight answer  Smiley
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the safest way to protect you bitcoins? on: October 13, 2017, 07:29:18 AM
Don't trust any website and app based wallet as they do not provide any private key or don't just store a huge amount of bitcoins to them, safest way is to use offline based wallet and trusted application for PC like bitcoin core or electrum, use print out paper wallets or if you want to invest on securing your coins you can buy Trezor, KeepKey or Ledger Nano S.
Secure your email and provide a long and not common passwords, learn more how the bitcoin and blockchain security works.
Last one is do not entrust anyone specially with your private key.

651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China May Reverse Bitcoin Band on: October 13, 2017, 06:51:26 AM
Expected from a country who wants to monopolize everything that includes the cryptocurrency over bitcoin. We are all sick of the games of the china of the banning, they can ban bitcoin as long as they want, they are not bitcoins oxygen tank just to survive to the market, bitcoin is owned by us not the Chinese government who relay a scripted drama over the community.
652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is only Bitcoin on the rise but not Etherium and Litecoin? on: October 13, 2017, 06:41:57 AM
The father and the leading digital currency over the advance technology of the blockchain is Bitcoin, it is the most popular cryptocurrency throughout the world no doubt why it has a huge rise of price over the market this past years and months, Yes of course Litecoin and ETH have their own improvements but Bitcoin has it own league to begin with, the foundation and the improvement of the community drives the bitcoin to stay to the top over the altcoins.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What You Need To Know To Get FREE Bitcoin Gold During The Fork. on: October 13, 2017, 06:36:18 AM
We'll just wait and see what will happen on November before, during and after the fork of the bitcoin for the Gold, Bitcointalk community will also announce the date and some precautionary methods to avoid problems during the fork like the last bitcoin cash fork.
For the Bitcoin cash, everyday it continues to dump from $800 to 309 price right now. it is time to sell my bitcoin cash or just wait?
Also i think bitcoin gold is the next ETH of the bitcoin because it has a good potential, can mine through low end devices without using ASIC.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Basics on: October 12, 2017, 08:34:40 AM
mining in GPU and CPU is already phased out from bitcoin mining, you need to have a huge capital and investment in buying equipment for mining as it is using ASIC Bitcoin Miner to earn some bitcoin from the mining pool. it is pointless to mine bitcoin now using your own PC components, another thing to consider is the electricity, as it consumes a lot of it and can cost a lot of penny to pay for your bills, consider also your to where you want to establish your mining facility as it produce high temperature due to the equipment, as mentioned above read the topics of the website to learn from mining bitcoin, but i recommend to mine altcoins if you are using GPU.
655  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks in Canada slowly warming to cannabis biz - but crypto is the better answer on: October 12, 2017, 08:21:29 AM
Some US banks refused to do business with marijuana companies to prevent such accusation to criminal violations and some banks in canada have the same respond to them, that is why it is slow to embrace such businesses as they need to study how to implement and regulate it properly to avoid abuses to its use. Using bitcoin is a good idea to implement such transaction over the companies of cannabis, but being anonymous over the transaction of cannabis is quite detrimental to the person. government must implement some regulation in the transaction of bitcoin to marijuana to enforce law and to avoid criminal acts.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your 3 most important factors when deciding what cryptocurrency to buy? on: October 12, 2017, 07:50:34 AM
My list in terms of what to be consider in buying or investing in such coin
1. It must be on the top 30 in the market capitalization list, it is obvious that this top 30 has a strong foundation in the digital currency not all of the but most of them have a great potential.
2. the integrity and credibility of the people who behind it, because most of them have the purpose to scam people so we need a credible people behind it.
3. The market cost of the coins, you have to be smart on this as some coins will promote a promising price. A extensive research must be done before investing or buying some coins because the main point of the digital currency is being decentralized.

658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I can make money with cryptocurrencies? on: October 12, 2017, 07:17:43 AM
If you have the skill to sell out or a best services that can offer for a good price to the clients you can do bitcoin as a form of payments and then just store them in your cold storage wallet based and then secure your private keys, just save the bitcoins that you are earnings as its price will surely skyrocket every year.

You can also do trading but be cautious about this one as trading requires a lot of experience and knowledge about trading crypto because of the high volatility and some coins can be a scam coin if you are not aware.

Don't waste your time in some faucets as you will just earn a piece of bucks join signature or bounty campaigns if you are a good and quality posters mostly in English.

Learn more about bitcoins as you stock some knowledge about it, someday you will surely profit from it.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korean Payment App Toss to Add Bitcoin Transactions on: October 12, 2017, 07:06:56 AM
Well there is an app like toss that can do a lot of transactions specially in the Philippines, it is called coins.ph application both web based and android based application for transaction.

This app has amazing features like toss and it really introduced the usage of bitcoin to its citizens, the success of this application bring a big impact to the society as the people know that there is a currency that can manage by an ordinary citizens and make an easy transaction for their everyday use, realizing the importance of the crypto currency and opened a new opportunity to Filipino citizen, as a matter of fact South korea is the third-largest market in the world no doubt that this app can ease users into seeing the value of bitcoin as a currency if the app has the strong foundation of trust and transparency to its end users.

This promising apps can introduce a big opportunity to properly introduce the bitcoin not just in South korea but in the whole Asia
660  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC next level on: October 12, 2017, 06:44:50 AM
We're not sure yet as the SegWit2x Fork in November will just have a minimal impact to its price on the market but we can consider the possibility that it will have a downtrend before it will reach a very promising price remember the previous hard fork that cause some panic buying last July when the hard fork date is near which is dated August 1 but eventually bounce back to its former price and reach a favorable price up to $4000+ surely btc will take us to the next level of its price mostly next year.
