241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of cryptocurrency this 2018 on: July 12, 2018, 10:55:25 AM
Hi everyone, I have read a lot of information and comments about the ETH.. A lot of people are trusting and confident that ETH has a lot of potential in terms of growth. But I also see a lot of comments that it's a myth and that those people who are confident are like that because they are hoping for ETH to bubble up like btc did once before. So I would like to know what do you think will happen to BTC, ETH and the whole crypto market this 2018. Is it possible to have a bullish market again?

I think crypto will soon be extinct, people will start to forget BTC, Altcoins etc. The current crowd will last only a short time.
People will return to something more important and useful in the future. Without forgetting anything, I apologize with this opinion.

You do not need to apologize even though you know it is a stupid opinion anyway coupled with the fact that you are here registered on this forum, you are carrying a signature of an altcoin and then you are coming to say there is no future. Well, I understand we all have our own opinion, but from where I stand I guess I should be asking you some question!

What happened to the countries that are beginning to see the benefit in this space and making attempt to tap hugely from it?
What happened to how this is going to create or has been creating a lot of opportunities for the likes of you and me and many more to come?

Of course, people like you are just here for the quick money you want to make anyway and care less about the future of anything which is the many reasons why people like you always end up missing good opportunities. That is my opinion to you too and I am sure not apologizing for it.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good time to invest in an ICO? on: July 11, 2018, 06:12:45 PM
A bear market is a good time to invest in ICO.
Since ICO usually takes several months, the bull market may come when the ICO token appears on the exchange.
Always a good time. I remembered when the bull market came up for bitcoin and a lot of altcoins were dumped, so many coins and tokens from ICOs got drenched with red and hit solid bottom trading below ICO price and that in my case is what I considered a good moment which made me to get some of them at those prices and when the market picked up afterwards earlier this year, it was like the best profit level I can ever imagine. If you have the money to invest directly and hugely to get good bonus, do so, otherwise, wait for it to hit an exchange and take advantage of their dips during a bear trend.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I give up now? on: July 11, 2018, 06:08:04 PM
You made the first mistake by not paying proper attention to the project you are joining and rather than using your valuable time to select quality projects with products, you were busy using all those times to want to pack up as much as possible different altcoins including shit ones and now you are thinking of giving up.

My advise is for you to see what you have not been doing right and make amendment and in this case, try to do some little research on the project so it can be worth your time. Getting a quick glimpse about the authenticity of a real project should not take you hours.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: July 10, 2018, 03:16:53 PM
stupidity is so close to poverty, do you agree with such a phrase?
if it yes, means the poor are the fools.
I want to know your opinion.  Grin Grin
Grin Grin as funny as it sounds, I actually disagree. Not everyone who is poor is a fool as some are just quite unfortunate. If you have made a visit to some third world countries on mission trips, you will understand.

With that being said, I agree that some are fools as well. I will give an example! A lot of people in this space who claim to be investors (which I classify as lazy investors), gladly refuses to get themselves equipped with knowledge to help them make better decisions and after complaining about the banks stealing from them, monopolies over the years, they still panic over little things to give away the little they could just take the risk to hold and liberate themselves to the same banks and institutions. That is dumb!
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recovery? on: July 10, 2018, 03:06:23 PM
... All of the previous years have shown bitcoin growth in the second quarter. Do you think this is a bad sign of a long-term downturn of bitcoin or do you still believe in a strong rebound in bitcoin prices? at the end of the year.
Maybe you should understand first that the trend we had last year is the opposite of the one we are currently having. We are in a bear trend, and expecting last year to repeat itself at this phase, is something I do not see plausible. Past performance is not indicative of the future and it is better to just stick with trends than trying to assume things that are not realistic.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Jumps Above $6800! What might have caused this sudden rise? on: July 10, 2018, 03:00:58 PM
to be honest this sudden rise is very surprising of all of us,  many people find many wrong meaning of this but we can hope this can break the record of $7000 on this year and that is a very positive signal for the trader so take the opportunity it may bring something good
There is nothing surprising. It is always very important to always stay cool during a downtrend so as not to be a victim of a bull trap. A lot of investors without trading knowledge could have opted in, thinking the market is set for new gains, but at times like this, it is always better to get to see the market develop pretty well before making any important decision. I guess the jump is obvious from this big red candle that is presently being formed.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have $10k to start gambling with altcoins. What the best way to start? on: July 09, 2018, 03:07:44 PM
Stop deceiving yourself as you will not see any leverage market platform listing shit coins for you to short as they look out for coins with huge volume and community support, not just some pump and dump market. You think if we were all shorting the shit coin market, the like of bitmex and co would still be existing? If you want to invest, pick the good coins you want to invest in at the dip and hold till you get your good profit, but know that you will not find what you are looking for with respect to shorting shit coins..
248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Right time to buy a lot of bitcoin. on: July 09, 2018, 03:04:25 PM
IMO, it is a good time to buy Bitcoin now. The price has dipped to around 40% of ATH. Although no one knows whether Bitcoin will dip further, the price now is a good entry for long term holding.
There is no actual signal yet that we have reached the bottom, so assuming that going into a long position from here now is a good call. For those who may be looking for lower prices anyway without knowledge of the market, I would rather say buying the dips bit by bit should be a good call, while you allocate certain percentage as it goes down to a certain amount less than the previous high. However, the sentiment will change if we end up getting to have a bullish market, but for now, the bears are still active.
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's future is DOWN on: July 09, 2018, 02:55:25 PM
It won't easy to the users if bitcoin will continue to decrease because a lot of users are now depend on it but if we have a lot of hard work to promote it more to new investors I think it will save bitcoin price in future so probably many will back and patronize bitcoin.
If that is what you think, then I am not sure what I actually need to tell you to think otherwise. You think because we are in a downtrend, the number of users have simply decreased as a result of that?

What you saw last year was a manipulated pumped price as far as I am concerned, but that does not mean the growth of bitcoin is hindered forever. When a value is moved based on speculation only without some real demand, then, the likelihood of a correction is higher in percentage. It is a good thing though for those who got in for the right reasons, as the bottom will eventually end up a good buy whichever way. It is just unfortunate that those who simply are just gullible, looking for quick ways to get rich without knowing what makes bitcoin really what it is to even know what the future could be greatly holding, are the ones who still come back to join the FOMO over and over again after missing the dip.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to move to BTC on: June 26, 2018, 03:05:20 PM
Anyone who is expecting any bull run anytime soon is actually kidding. Every year is not always going to be the same, we are in a bear market and it is better for almost everyone to accept that fact and before we can even start seeing some bullish possibilities, it will be towards the end of the year/next year. Moving out of alts now though may not be the best move as there is a possibility they might be having some good move very soon, and anyone holding may actually want to be targeting the peak instead to stash up more bitcoin for the long run.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does crypto currency change the lives of ordinary people? on: June 25, 2018, 02:52:11 PM
Crypto currency is really a big help to ordinary people like me. It gives an additional income that help sustain the daily needs of a person. Right now lot of people that are engage with crypto are given a chance that lives become better and even on the financial stability. The knowledge that is being brought by the technology is also a big help to everybody who are with crypto because it can be use to be more productive and profitable.
I really agree with you.In my experience for my daily needs with out cryptocurrency I was so many loans. For now with cryptocurrency I pay my loans and a better life specially on income.
Apparently, that could be a way for average people to sustain themselves. However, it is a whole lot more than that as it is more like giving power to users without any intermediary, no government or bank poke nosing every single moment, you have the chance to make your own investment decisions without going through vigorous channels and so on. The part where is helps common people still balls down to all this that I have mentioned, because without this, there is no way anyone will even be easily earning anything at all and be able to sustain themselves with it. Something the government could not offer.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEW for Altcoins ? on: June 25, 2018, 02:36:21 PM
If you have no option then MEW with the private key will be best. But f you want to assure security for your token I will suggest you to go with Trezor or Ledger Nano S.

Sure, the idea of having access to your ERC20 token is to have your private keys which MEW is a very good option but based on security, and having to login with private keys all the time, I feel making use of MetaMask is still the best. You still have your private keys, you can login straight via MEW with Metamask and carry out every necessary transaction without having to use your private keys and this at least prevents you from phishing attacks. For me, if you do not have cash to purchase hardware wallet, this is still much the best option.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Referrals, Bounties, & Giveaways ... What interests you? on: June 25, 2018, 02:09:35 PM
Bounty campaign actually do have a lot more to offer than any of the other mentioned interests. One thing about bounty is that you at least use the resources you have or your skills to get some amount of token which is guaranteed you will get and would even make it worthwhile when compared to giveaways. For referrals however, that is a whole lot of ball game entirely as you will need a way to push your referral url to friends and public, so it kind of takes some ready made platform you have built to get that done or achieve something tangible from that.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your biggest mistake up to now on: June 23, 2018, 05:06:45 PM
To be honest I don't like to flip crypto. One time I've changed my mind... I've received ontology airdrop of 1k tokens. After a while there was a binance reward system for trade activity. I uploded my tokens and after some time I have received same 1k more from binance. Finally I got 2k tokens. The token price was about 1.6$. On bear market the token price raised to 2.5-3$ and I sold it. In about 2 weeks this token already was 12$. Damn, I sold it too early)))
I can totally relate with this, but one good thing is that with the volatility of the market, you can actually get to buy back lower than you sold but the fact that you missed a huge chance of just being patient enough during the uptrend, you missed it. One of the reasons why I made tabtrader my app of choice to monitor any of my holding and not always quick to sell as long as it has not shown any possibility of switching trends downward, which in that case I still always set a buy stop loss as well based on experience.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop of over $500 on the price of a bitcoin last 24 hours on: June 23, 2018, 04:34:05 PM
With mixed sort of news coming, bitcoin fell sharply last 24 hour breaking all the so called resistance point of 6500 and 6300 to reach around $6K.
Where next? Below $5K or rise back to $10K?
Rise back to $10k? Not yet bro! At least, nothing depicts that yet as the bears sure shows they are strictly in control and maybe the bulls are just somewhere waiting for the best moment to strike back but does not look like any time yet. In that case, I see us going lower than $6,000 but how low is what we will get to see with time.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How it works? on: June 23, 2018, 04:06:54 PM
Most investors are usually looking for quick profit anyway and since some of them usually apply at the early stages of the ICO, they tend to get at lower price than the final ICO price with a huge bonus as well. We should know normally that no investor will surely give up what they have invested in as long as they do not stand to gain anything. We should also add some bounty hunters to that equation who willingly dump at any value.

Some investors usually do not care as long as they are in it for the long term and see a lot of prospect in the project which makes it easy for them to buy more if it starts trading below ICO price. At the end, they stand to gain more anyway.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: MtGox Trustee Halts Bitcoin Sell-Offs on: June 23, 2018, 01:51:23 PM
We should really be careful if this guy tweets he will go to the toilet we might see a drop of 20%
@bolded: Grin I won't be surprised, even if the dump has nothing to do with MtGox.

It was really nice seeing people's opinion though, but one thing I have noticed even before now is that, we all like trying to justify every move in the market by attaching it with something, most especially when it tends to dump activities.

Like brewmaster stated above with the whole chart thing, and from the article, most of the dump has been done the whole Q4, but when we all found out, it seems the fever just fell on everyone and it was either MtGox this or that, which I believe it is psychologically normal.

My bone of contention however is that from how things have been playing out and like I said initially that the pop was imminent, the bears dropped the bomb and was already set to drop the market big, which is why we still see some form of manipulation even as we keep going down, but the whole blame was rather pushed on MtGox instead which I believe everything is going to be clear at this point. Although, like the article mentioned, the victory has not been realized yet until creditors receive their pay, so I guess we see who things pan out from here.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the market gonna rise again???? on: June 22, 2018, 03:46:57 PM
Recently we've seen the bloodbath in crypto market which is not so irregular in market place . But the question is also remaining, Is crypto gonna rise again Huh Or like the haters are saying, Crypto will never rise Huh  Huh

Don't listen what haters saying if you believe in crypto just wait for a good news because me? I believed that crypto will rise again and it will become stable. For now there's a bad event that crypto is affecting now but not in a whole year so wait for rising.
Market can never be down forever, so that OP's question is even more ill-defined. There is always a recovery even if the market gets to go as low as it wants to, which is why the idea of holding for anyone who does not have any trading knowledge stays intact. Cryptocurrency space is going to keep getting better and better as time goes on, but it would take some patience.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is best secured wallet - paper, offline desktop wallet, or trezor? on: June 22, 2018, 03:26:46 PM
I want to move exchange coins to some secured wallet, but I am unsure which is best wallet, offline desktop wallet, paper wallet, or hardware devices like Trezor. Kindly give me suggestions.
Come on! Hardware wallet anytime any day. Private key is stored directly in the device while you can still back up your seed in case you misplace it, while having high level of security since it is encrypted with pin, no issue with viruses, you can have multiple cryptocurrencies and ERC20 tokens easily, you can easily make transactions with them since you easily can link them with a desktop wallet like electrum or the hardware wallet app, so what else would anyone need and as far as I am concerned, even though it comes with a price, it is worth it.
260  Economy / Speculation / MtGox Trustee Halts Bitcoin Sell-Offs on: June 22, 2018, 03:05:59 PM
Defunct Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox has formally entered civil rehabilitation proceedings, officials announced June 22.

A statement and accompanying documentation confirm the move, which will see attorney Nobuaki Kobayashi act as civil rehabilitation trustee.

Kobayashi was responsible for selling vast tranches of Bitcoin reserves beginning Q4 last year to reimburse Mt. Gox users who lost money in the exchange’s mass hack in late 2013. The sell-offs appeared to have a conspicuous effect on markets, Bitcoin prices tumbling immediately following each transaction, which Kobayashi performed on major exchanges.

“The power and authority to administer and dispose of MTGOX’s assets is still vested exclusively in me, and I will implement the civil rehabilitation proceedings, including the administration of MTGOX’s assets and the investigation of claims, subject to the Tokyo District Court’s supervision,” Kobayashi wrote in the new documentation.

However, due to the bankruptcy proceedings now being halted as part of the civil rehabilitation, Kobayashi will not sell any further bitcoins, with users set to receive compensation in BTC instead of fiat currency as originally intended.

“...In the civil 2 rehabilitation proceedings in this matter, claims seeking a refund of Bitcoins (“Bitcoin Claims”) will also not be converted into monetary claims after the commencement of the civil rehabilitation proceedings,” Kobayashi continues.

Reacting to the news, a group of claimants who had established Mt. Gox Creditors lobby group out of dissatisfaction with progress considered it a mixed blessing.

“...Enormous assets, which were to be distributed to Mt. Gox’s shareholders under the bankruptcy proceedings, will be returned to creditors of Mt.Gox in civil rehabilitation proceedings. This is the creditors’ victory,” a statement from the group reads.

“...However, this victory has not been realized yet. The victory will come to creditors when Mt. Gox makes payment to creditors and creditors actually receive such payment.”

Mt. Gox became infamous in the crypto industry after suffering a hack, followed by a collapse in 2014, resulting in the loss of $473 million worth of customers’ money - the single largest loss of funds in the history of crypto until this year’s $534 million Coincheck hack.

This news I believe will at least douse the sell-off tension in the market and probably cure the MtGox fever. This is what I expected should have been done anyway, right from the onset.

Do you think this should somehow bring about some recovery in the market, or do you think it would have no impact? From what I can see though, I want to assume the downtrend in the market is far beyond the MtGox sell-off which was just more like what added fuel to it, but the downtrend was rather imminent from the manipulated FOMO activity that happened last year. What are your thoughts on this?
