1  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Help The Poor on: January 27, 2021, 11:33:18 AM
People ask why they should buy and support bitcoin.
Those who wish to help the poor can donate money to charities or propose government assistance. Bitcoin may yet be another method.
Bitcoin has shown its profitability for "poor" people, mainly from developing countries.
But at this point fees and transaction time are too high to use it, so I guess this mission lay down on altcoins now.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Visa is getting more interested in Crypto on: December 01, 2020, 05:56:14 AM
^ I don't know if it's connected, it seems that Paypal accepting crypto is already having an effect on other big companies. mass adoption is getting in our sight, tighten your belt we will see the big bull run soon.
Honestly, Visa were trying to get into crypto months before paypal, by partnering coinbase.
So, paypal might just pushed them to try harder, but paypal wasn't the first one for sure
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC trading pair or USDT trading pair? on: October 31, 2020, 04:50:08 PM
Which trading pair you want to choose. Suppose you want to trade a common coins which is listed in both pair. Then which pair you will choose?
You should only use BTC ETH pair in order to get profit from it.
Other than this its makes much more sense to trade via USDT since its basically more stable
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please reply Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto on: September 22, 2020, 07:50:25 AM
If the last time we have logged was in 2010, what makes you think he will open his account just to reply to this thread? i have bad news for you, that will not happen because the only way to stay anonymous is to stay away from internet and social networks.
If satoshi will join again to the forum then will be for a critical message, or warn us about bitcoin, but not just to say hi.
Exactly. If he would login just to answer some messages I'd rather think his account was hacked, because it just doesn't make any sense for him to risk own anonymity.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not only bitcoin. on: September 07, 2020, 12:55:13 PM
I cannot believe how these scammers are even surviving till now. I mean atleast mainstream media platforms like youtube should have active moderation and surveilance team to keep a check on such scammers and such fake giveaways and scams should be stopped as soon as posted.
Moreover, there were a lot of bizarre cases of banning real educational/news crypto accounts.
Meanwhile sh*t like this is happening here and there, streams with fake coinbase ceo and etc.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello everyone! Do you still have confidence in altcoin? on: August 25, 2020, 01:53:02 PM
first of all, I wouldn't divide whole crypto market on BTC and everything ELSE.
I mean there is clear difference between eth, doge and some low quality dead token.
And I still have confidence in eth for instance, but I am not as sure about most of other alts
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to get the name of ethereum wallet on: August 11, 2020, 08:13:11 AM
Is it possible to get user's ethereum wallets name from the address he is using?
I guess the question you've asked should look more like - "Is there a way to know what wallet is using a person by knowing only the public address of it?"
And my answer is - no, I don't know a way to do this
8  Economy / Economics / Re: harmonization of fiat and crypto on: August 01, 2020, 04:17:26 AM
I think fiat cannot be replaced with crypto and that's the reality.Right now we see that digital money is important because of the virus but time will come when it's over, everything will return to normal and we will use cash again. I agree if fiat collaborates with crypto for a better future in financial system, that's great.
I tend to agree with your position overall - crypto can't replace fiat, not now at least.
However, I am not sure that there will be distinctive moment when everything will be "normal" again.
Chances are we're building new normal now and blockchain/crypto already sort of inlaid in our economy
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I become a crypto market maker? on: July 24, 2020, 02:32:42 PM
I see a lot of people coming here asking about token creation.
People just want to know about exchanges, market stuff and so on. Only scams. People like the OP want to create a token list to profit from fools who will buy it .
Why don't you ask things like development,  which projects are necessary now in the ecosystem and so on. But no, new tokens care only about exchanges and marketing. Scam.
Exactly. The question should sound like - I have an idea of token which will have futures a, b and c. Will it be a valuable product or not? How can I improve it?
It is about marketing too, but it is definitely not the first thing to worry about when you thinking about starting own token
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with a barking dog on: July 08, 2020, 02:11:46 PM
Re: training your dog to be quiet, I agree. But if you don't know how to train your dog, then hire someone else (or a professional) who knows how to do it instead.
Re: possible medical issues, it's totally possible and this should be the most realistic thing to do, before even considering "putting your dog down" for barking all the time. Shocked
Best advice you can get is here in quote, OP
I believe any dog can be trained, no matter what age it is - its just a matter of time and effort
If you haven't trained your dog at this point I assume you have 0 knowledge in this area so you should really find a person who know how to do it
11  Economy / Economics / Re: An interesting case of a widespread misconception on: June 30, 2020, 04:58:01 AM
A lot of posters on the forum love to come up with figures showing how much the dollar (the American dollar, obviously) has depreciated over time, like 1 dollar in 1913 was worth 1000 dollars today (or whatever), with the general idea being that "the grass was greener and the light brighter back in the day"
However, what these forum members forget to account for is the rise in wages during the same time span. And the irony is that wages in the US have been outperforming inflation since WWII, barring a few rather short periods. It basically means that people become wealthier over years despite a declining dollar
So much for dollar inflation
That is a big fact to consider in when comparing crypto to fiat.
A lot of people in crypto community are assured that its only a matter of time when crypto will replace or at least take its place near the fiat in banking systems and etc.
However, the current system works for a very-very long time, yeah it has its own problems but due to ease of use and incredible prevalence of usd makes it way bigger than btc
12  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: June 08, 2020, 05:28:25 PM
This crisis is longer than what most of expected even though if the spread of the virus could be stopped the damages to our economy will be prolonged and could take years to heal. But after this we have to keep going in order to survive and make good plans in advance.
You should understand that if people will go out there to streets like tomorrow - it will partially help out economy to keep the damage lower.
But virus will be spread again and second outbreak could actually kill economy of the world
On the other hand we could wait for couple more months now, it won't hurt that much - it will take like 1-2 year to heal
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All hope is lost?? on: May 28, 2020, 02:55:30 PM
Your money is pretty much lost and this is why people should be aware that this kind of investment is risky, same thing with stock your money could turn into dust anytime. Sometimes that's why I never influence people around me to do the same thing as me to make some investment because it could pretty much rekt their life if their nature is to take a huge risk and don't know how to stop.
Crypto is not even legal in most of countries at the moment of posting this.
So people who risk their funds to invest in crypto should understand this is kinda uncharted territory and nobody knows whats going to happen.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dump or HODL these coins? on: May 15, 2020, 04:44:56 PM
If you need a quick buck, dump them. You can always buy more when you recover financially.
But i always kept my shitcoins in the past. 9 out of 10 would plummet to death, but that 1 that made it, made it big
exactly how it is in real world
moreover, if you are already invested in like 100 different shitcoins you are much more likely to be aware if one of any shitcoins is blowing up right now (just because you will be monitoring all social media and stuff)
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY THE BLAME ON BOUNTY HUNTERS FOR SHITCOINS? on: May 06, 2020, 05:42:53 PM
There are many investors who has been doing bounties and investors also. I am also same role in Bounty hunting and trades. I have noticed that maximum shit projects blame on bounty hunters to cheap the coin's price. Here i have two points-
1. Bounty hunters get only few tokens which is 1%-2% of the total token supply which is not fully responsible for dump if they all sell in cheap rate. Hence i will blame of that project for their inability to list in big exchanages. They try to list in a newer exchange where trade volume is very low. This is main reason for dump
2. Although Bounty hunters get very low payment, maximum hunters try to sell direct after they received payment. This is not accepted behavior. It is some extent responsible for dump.
These two points are very close to truth I feel like.
The second one doesn't have that much of affect on the coin, but it is unethical and has negative impact on bounty community overall
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis after the epidemic on: April 30, 2020, 10:02:40 PM
Personally I believe in crisis after this pandemic. The crisis will be painful for some countries more than for other countries, the same is for people, some will suffer more than others. How long it will last nobody can say, all we see are speculations, and we can assume that for some countries and for some people recovery will not be easy and fast.
much will depend on the economic impact of the pandemic. now it is certain that much of the world will experience a recession, in strict technical terms. recession is defined as two consecutive quarters in which economic contracts. and this quarter of the year has been lost in terms of economic output ...
I agree that if this is only "speculation" with you, it is not known that the recession will continue to confront us which will eventually turn into depression, a decline that goes on deeper and wider in all areas of economic activity...
I believe that all govs will show us how good we are after pandemic, that's we alright and like nothing happened
but people will feel this weight of broken economy on their shoulders for good 1-2 years at least
a lot of companies and countries faced very harsh times so did the people
17  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: April 24, 2020, 01:38:03 PM
It is impossible to say when this crisis will last for many more days The situation is becoming direr I don't think that in countries where the epidemic has improved and returned to normal new corona patients are being identified Nothing can be prevented. I got in the new news that this coronavirus will last 4 years in the world I don't know if it is correct but the government needs to take more drastic steps to eradicate the coronavirus Then this crisis can be overcome very quickly.
This quarantine could last whole year and coronavirus could be beaten in couple years - this is a possibility indeed. But there are other more positive ones out there.
This way or another - you should understand that when quarantine will come to an end this won't change our world all the way back to its "normal" state in one day.
Its going to be a long and pretty hard process
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Make your donation against COVID-19 on: April 10, 2020, 01:38:51 PM
You know it's difficult to ask for donations online because there's a lot of scammers and users out there which take this covid19 as an opportunity to earn money for their own sake. Even me,i will hesitate this kind of donation because i don't even know if this is legit. Much better to give donations directly to the persons in need.
Agreed, I am quite scared about it too.
However lets face the facts - you and I won't donate to anyone since the person itself won't ask for anything.
I mean imagine a person being very sick due to coronavirus, and he is in facebook/instagram/whatever begging for money, lists all his wallets including btc/erc20 ones.
And moreover you should be available at the moment he is promoting his post and you should be attentive enough to notice the post.
I don't know man, I kinda like the idea of one-company-collecting-charity-and-then-transfers-to-person-who-needs
so what do you suggest?
I personally can't trust the OP my funds, but I tend to help people in current situation
Is there a list of trusted pages (and companies) I could donate to?
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: April 02, 2020, 08:15:15 AM
I agree! We must overcome Covid19 to recover the market and it will not be an easy task because the pandemic will leave a bleak environment. We must work hard to recover everything we have accomplished in the crypto market. Sadly, we are seeing humanity threatened by a very dangerous pandemic.
You are right on this. I hope the humanity will be strong and fortunate enough so we'll have to care about such things as cryptocurrencies, not our survival.
Because if we won't overcome a virus fast enough - we'll meet a very very rought times my friend
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank's loss crypto's gain? on: March 30, 2020, 06:31:39 PM
Bank get down now after corona virus and need time for recovering and back to higher price, bitcoin need the same way how effective get many investors want to hold and buy bitcoin then holding more than one or two year to get back bitcoin with higher price, although halving just few weeks later but bitcoin still down.
bitcoin will be up in a few weeks, just after halving, we all wait for it
answering the main question - imo no, crypto is in the same economical boat as banks, so if banks will lose a lot - we'll meet crypto at the bottom of the sea
