121  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 01:35:18 AM
I hear rumors that U.S. banks systematically close bank accounts to Bitcoin-related startups, without giving explanations.

If this happens with ActiveMining, the company should relocate itself out of the U.S.

The machines are priced in fiat, so the promise is in fiat.

This is a bad promise. What if Bitcoin price crashes? (maybe not now, but few years from now; after all it crashed from $30 to $1 in 2011... who knows?)
Don't promise anything, as it is unwise for the mining company to take any such risks.
123  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Trading shares OTC on: November 10, 2013, 12:56:44 PM
Yes it is possible to send/receive shares without getting verified.

I believe until 2.dec.2013, but I may be wrong. We have few weeks of Bitfunder operation remaining in the best case scenario.

What's the diffrence between HashFast and FastHash ? 2 different companies?
125  Economy / Securities / [ActiveMining] Trading shares OTC on: November 10, 2013, 12:07:29 AM
While Bitfunder still exists, I offer to buy some ActM shares. I expect to receive shares to my Bitfunder account.

Bid:
0.0005 price x 10,000 shares. = 5 BTC

Any asks?

NOTE: I cannot trade on Bitfunder, because they require verification now, which I refuse to provide.

10.11.2013. Sent my shares of ActiveMining to AMC-TENDER (from Bitfunder)

Do I need to send email too ? Or PM Ken ?
Or just transaction in Bitfunder ?
127  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 06, 2013, 05:29:46 PM
I will buy some 10,000 ActM shares at 0.00055 BTC (0.55 mBTC). It is near the trading range of BF. (I request immediate transfer of shares on BF)

*** URGENT ***

Due to closure of Bitfunder everyone must transfer own shares to Ken somehow.

Eh.. things are breaking apart on my watch. Really bad. Sad

I vote to kick "iCEBREAKER" from this topic.

You're just a big, fat troll, "iCEBREAKER".
Go troll somewhere else.

Go start your own "Anti-ActiveMining" forum thread, and troll there.

EskimoBob: it is my understanding that pink sheets allows any company to go public without full financial statements and SEC approval.
What are the requirements there?
131  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 13, 2013, 09:55:32 AM
Blockchain.info seems to offer Bitcoin escrow, but not stock escrow.

>But the downside is that its way more expensive to produce as traditional asics per unit.

How much more expensive ?
What is the expected performance advantage of full-scale 28 nm ASICs? (with multiple masks, using traditional process)

kingcrimson:
I hope to see first mines (ASIC-powered ActM computers) by Q1-2014.

How much TH/s ? Who knows ? I know they should be powerful enough to compete and take a good chunk of the market. (over 10%)

Bitcoin market = 1.3 million BTC per year. x $120 = $156,000,000. So over $15 M is expected revenue and at least $2.5 M profit next year (assuming Bitcoin price stays flat, which I believe will keep rising).

This is my personal expectation from ActM. We'll see how it plays in reality.

It seems that BitFunder won't be able to accept U.S. citizens because of the U.S. regulations, and the tendency of U.S. government to go after overseas banks and exchanges. Peter Schiff explained regulations in YouTube videos.

1. I'm from Israel, investor in Active Mining and willing to send my documents to BitFunder and WeExchange, if needed.

2. I *can* store other (U.S) people's shares in my account, for a fee. (like a warehouse)
(it means the people will not be able to sell them anytime soon, lets say 6 months, because my time is valuable, and I don't want to spend too much time around. Also a minimum position would be required, of say 20,000 shares at least, again to save my time. I really cannot help the small investors out there with few hundred shares due to time constraints.). It would require trust.

3. It is only until we (the community) find a better solution. (Colored Coins?). Once solution is found, all shares will be returned.

4. I can help only a small amount of people. (a few dozens at most)

5. I have warned about the centralized bitcoin stock exchange risk back in July, 2013. Here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=259272.msg2765334#msg2765334

6. I strongly recommend you to often backup of Bitfunder's public holder's asset-list:

Colored Coins - I know it.

But how do we interface it with actual exchanges ? (Bitfunder and friends...)
What is the team's goal ? Any roadmap ?
136  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: September 28, 2013, 02:20:24 PM
What is the reason for people to move shares to Bitfunder? Higher share prices?
137  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is bitcoin going to raise again? on: September 07, 2013, 05:47:34 AM
10% is annoying LOL?
I bought at $160 and watched it going all the way down to $70, yay! (bought along the way down some more...)

The Bitcoin volatility is gonna continue for another decade or two.
138  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: September 07, 2013, 05:39:11 AM
1. Theoretically stocks transfer is possible via Colored BitcoinX protocol. Today no exchange supports it.

2. The easiest way for us is for the company to appoint several arbitrageurs.
Basically I can do the day to day arbitration according to my free time, assuming the company is willing to transfer my shares from one exchange to the next.
The company can do this now, because they can destroy shares on one exchange and create on another.
Basically I will transfer half of my shares to ken on BF, then he would have to destroy them on BF and create on BTCT.

3. The 50% liquidity premium is growing, and without the company (Ken) acting, it may not close.

139  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] IPO Details for BTC-GROWTH on: August 14, 2013, 09:47:22 AM
1. The user "Dr Greg Mulhauser" is confirmed to be the real one, the operator of the site.
1.a "If you do not trust the exchange moderator"...
Of course I do not trust. Why should I ?
2. I prefer "hedge company" vs. "hedge fund", so that the manager invests his own money with us, small investors
The reason is: risk sharing. The "boss" aka "manager" aka "general partner" should risk his own ass (personal equity).
3. Fees: 2%(base)+20% (from profits) is way too high IMO. I guess I would skip this opportunity.

I guess (much) lower fees and the fact that the manager puts his own money down on the table will push me to invest.
(This is the reason I never invest in any type of funds to begin with... only in stock companies, except if required by law, such as pension fund)

You'll have a drop a note on your website, http://psychologicalinvestor.com/ so people can believe it is really you.
You're account in this forum is too new, and lacks trust for an IPO. (which would put on hold my investment plan)
