i lost so much money on this coin that im starting to hate it lol. i like the idea, but the management of this coin doesnt know what are they doing.

Lol the management isnt responsible for the speculations of people trying to make fast money.

Short term speculators are not helpful.

After a fall to $1 , most of the remaining holders would be in it for the long haul. The short term price does not need to be high to support development, now that a lot of funds have been raised from the MGO ICO.

I guess we won't be waiting too long for a comment from Icebutthurter on this one Tongue

Maybe not.  He might have got tired of FUDing Dash, and may even have bought in !

I know a couple of speculators who make a habit of Trolling the BBs of their own coins, on the theory that more Trolls make for a stronger price.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: August 15, 2017, 10:05:50 AM

yeah. we tested. it didnt quite work. we identified a bug and are working to fix it. i think you got testing confused with finished

Thanks for the update. Don't rush it.  ECC has been around for years : a few extra weeks are worth the wait for a nice GUI wallet.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: August 13, 2017, 11:12:26 PM
Woohoo, iCEy's back!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bullish!!!!!!!!

hahaha, so funny, our indicator is  iCE's fud

iCE is not FUDing with the same conviction now.  I find it difficult to follow the argument about the instamine, as if anyone can plan anything in the Crypto space.

Ah ok, so it's still the instamine. Not really worth the effort to mention it over and over again, but back then - to be honest - it made a single actor pretty rich. That is a fact. Anyway, time goes on.

I don't know if that is all .... However, I don't believe instamines are a negative. Wealthy holders have more capital and incentive to promote, and even if they dump, that increases the distribution.

Wealth distribution in fiat money is very uneven, and the richest are not always there on merit. Competent wealth owners usually benefit the economy, and incompetent ones often redistribute their money.

Supercoin is not EC Coin

Some nice  FUD aka Slandering of DASH is going on again.

I don't see much FUD compared with the last couple months, which is a pity, because it airs issues and brings attention. The truth always comes out, which is good for all.

The posters and trolls seem to have given up. Come on guys, bring on the FUD !
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: August 13, 2017, 10:13:08 AM
Bitcoin above 4000 will not go in the near future, probably now it will go down on the correction, but where will the dash go...

Well.... Bitcoin trading over $4100, yet dash remains in the $200 range. Should Bitcoin go down in terms of USD, then the DASH/USD value will probably fall as the DASH/BTC value is quite low right now,  < 0.05 at the moment.

But who knows, Dash has been pretty stable at $200. It might continue to hoover around that range until we start rolling out the upcoming evolution releases.

Dash is one of the weaker currencies atm, but that is due to its relative stability in Fiat terms over the last few months.  I would guess that the $ price of Dash will remain in the $150-$210 range for some considerable time, unless there is a very large break in the BTC market.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: August 13, 2017, 09:07:55 AM
I was also surprised about the recent drop, however I'm a longterm hodler and I believe in the team and project. One of my concerns was the overall average visual design and appearance. Your Corporate Design was awful to be honest, BUT i just had a look at your new website and the logos (GC and GNation etc.). Very good! An important step in the right direction. It's a much more professional look.

Now it's all about marketing the project and aquiring users. I hope y'all use a variety of different channels. And yeah you definitely have to target the younger generation, because they will decide if GC are going to stay. Wink
wonderful point there, I regreted not investing in this coin earlier, but I think this is a good time ⌚ to invest as price has drastically dropped, just waiting to see if price can still go down a bit, if it doesn't, am jumping in at the next green move.
But to be sincere, most altcoins are dropping at the moment not just game credit, maybe because of btc rise.. Who know?

Most altcoins are rising strongly. Look at the Gainers/Losers section of Coinmarketcap. There are 22 risers of over 30%, and only 3 fallers of over 30%.

Game is relatively weak, and that is a signal for further falls.  It is just part of the long term price waves.

Circulating Supply:
24,860,298,436 ECC
In the sell wall at coin exchange:
480,484,417
Total Supply:
Unknown Huh

A lot of coins, and where are the rest of the coins (excluding the HODL-ers) because relatively speaking it is a small fraction from the circulating supply?

Probably stuck in people's wallets.

I think i spent 3-4 weeks mining ECC with 6-8 GPUs at one point in 2014, so i have a lot of them tied up. But since the old wallet won't sync, i can't do any trading.  Grin

Interested to see how the price goes once the new wallet is out. UP because of progress signs, or DOWN because of unleashing these coins?

I still have a really old (2014) version of the wallet. Any working link to a current/recent one?

Done, thanks!

If you look at the numbers of coins in wallets vs numbers held on the exchange, you will conclude that the price will fall substantially.  It seems such an obvious outcome. Don't worry if it drops to 2 or 3 sats.

Could be worth buying, depending on how development is proceeding, and how good the new wallet is. Patience is important.

651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: August 12, 2017, 10:32:37 PM
I also loaded my wallet with more credits taking benefit of this recent decline. It is safest range where you can buy and can make nice profit and still can remain in the project for long term. Market will bounce back within couple of days and we will be seeing price much higher. Great stuff is coming out.

Hopefully will be able to buy below $2 soon !  The best outcome for adoption is a fairly stable price (ie $1.50 to $2.50 range) for a long time, to give new users confidence.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: August 12, 2017, 10:31:26 PM
lots of people lost money on this coin, like myself. i think you need to do something about it. we all love inovations, but we invest becouse we want to earn something too. try not to lose faith of investors, that can be bad for you too.

These are short term considerations. Short term speculators are not investors, and they are not good for Cryptos, causing instability.. Another dump would be healthy, in my view..

I bought more on the dip to $1.40 a couple months ago. The price may go there again, but it shouldn't affect the development work.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: August 11, 2017, 11:35:54 PM
what happened not pump?  I'm already convinced that the only real ecurrency is btc...

Seems like someone who was holding a lot of game dumped. It's all good price will go back up since many things are coming up. No need to worry if you're a long term holder. Coin should be 15-40 dollar price range by the start of 2018.
well i mined my games in 2014 and still holding, i donīt going to sell cheap xD, but are some traders who not allow to rise the price?

Keep the price down. It discourages speculators.

It would be best to progress with development, and keep price stable for another year or so.

I heard news are coming soon! That`s great!  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Please sell out.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: August 06, 2017, 10:02:48 AM
there is a large community now , with various developers working on different sections of the project. did you research or are you impatient. There has ben a lot of development at the github as is clear to see . did you invest at coinexchange before the wallet went into maintenance there and the price dropped ? , did you have coins trapped there for the time being ? did you invest much ? I advise patience if so , the community is actively developing the project and it is advised to not stress hankering after making a short term profit . investment will work out as the stages of development are reached.
My god only 4 satoshi now? Worse investment of my whole portfolio, there is no bright future at this it seems also, updated their website but still very crappy. Not much development at his github.
1 man army here with not much time and knowledge it seems imo.
20% left from 2 bitcoin investment at coinexchange Undecided  I was in it from early June. I consider it as lost money, hope you guys can make something out of it, but there are a lot of better altcoins.

Next year when bitcoin hit's $10,000, everybody (and I mean everyone) is going to start investing in Crypto's.  Most Alt's are going to shoot past the moon, and enter orbit around pluto next year... DON'T SELL... Just hang on.

That is a possiblity, just a possibility.  However, there are plenty to choose from, and there will still be losers.  The new investors will nearly all go for those coins that have the best easiest and fastest ui. A good distribution, and PoS will keep the blockchain moving.

To survive and succeed, it is essential that wallets are working really well. Better still that the gui has some special qualities.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: July 19, 2017, 12:23:23 AM
GAME hitting $ 3.25 next week. It will be?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Fortunately very unlikely.

Much better to see a period of stability in the new trading range $1.10 to $1.80 . Hopefully a few months at least.

That will build confidence and real use.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [New ANN] HUSH Secure Private Messaging and Transactions [Equihash] on: July 16, 2017, 11:35:45 PM
ZDASH/HUSH has been a long play for a while.  They certainly have committed devs and a solid network, both of which are strong indicators of success.  I wish I hadn't flipped as much as I did in the past but certainly holding strong for now.

You can't second guess yourself like that.  You can only move forward.  There's nothing wrong with taking some profits on the way up.  None of this is guaranteed.

Wise words.

Take profits, but hold a core amount. Nothing wrong with reducing your coreholding on a large advance. In fact, it is actually very positive for distribution : give other , and new holders a chance to acquire some   (really, it works !)
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 16, 2017, 10:06:43 PM

...and what ultimately happened to the South Sea Company ?  Hopefully you are picking and choosing only those parts of the comparison that suit.
Of course it was all nonsense, as most cryptocurrencies are, and will continue to be. My statement should not be interpreted to mean that all cryptocurrencies are nonsense, however. Everything will get caught up in the bubble(s), regardless of whether or not it has legitimacy or utility.

I do expect the legitimate coins to generally underperform the nonsense, at least on limited timescales. The highest rates of growth during bubbles should belong to whichever cryptocurrency can generate the most hype. It could be built on a foundation of dogshit, but if it can generate hype, the dumb money will follow.

Yes, I believe you are correct.

There have been 4 big Crypto adoption price waves over the last 6 years. The bust phase of each was inevitable, but only the last 2 have featured alternatives to BTC to any great extent. The one we are (likely) entering now will unfold in a similar way, with capital slowly fleeing to the safer havens (mainly larger projects), but with all fiat-denominated prices showing declines. It was a very long way down from peak to trough.

Within a few months I would expect to clearly see which are the nonsense projects. Unfortunately, by then virtually all value will have evaporated from them. It is hard to see how there could be more than a handful of winners.

And u see Monero as one of the winners ?

I try not to expect anything. Better to see what actually unfolds, that will give the answers. Survivor bias is operating here, like other forms of selection/evolution.

when will the carnage end  Huh

Within 1 year the bottom should be reached. Use the road map from previous waves as a template.
