1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcurrency. Free and earned coins for everyone. on: July 01, 2018, 04:07:22 AM
The link to download the new version of the wallet does not work. I downloaded the BC wallet, but I can't find the icon to launch this wallet. What to do? Or do you want to move all the content in the new folder to the old folder?
https://github.com/bitcurrency/bitcurrency/releases
Download called bc125-win64
Unzip, then run it.

See rwdim's post above for more information. Sync the blockchain.

Also join the Discord channel and try to get some coins for free or try to earn them from other people.
There is a faucet in the discord where you can get some coins every 24 hours. But please withdraw them to your wallet. The bot is not a wallet. You can also send them to your wallet while its syncing, but you would need to sync fully in order to send them again.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Very big Bitcurrency giveaway! on: June 10, 2018, 02:06:21 AM
Very big giveaway. Giving away 2 Million Bitcurrency.

Instructions for giveaway:
Go to https://www.reddit.com/r/BitCurrency/

Make a sign saying "Give me Bitcurrency"
Place the sign near your PC gaming setup or gaming rig
Take a picture of it.
Post the picture to https://www.reddit.com/r/BitCurrency/
Include a Bitcurrency recieving address in the post.

You can get a Bitcurrency receiving address if you download the Bitcurrency wallet from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3369654
You can see the Bitcurrency you received in your wallet or by searching for your address on the blockexplorer to see if you got Bitcurrency or not.

How the giveaway will work:
If your PC gaming setup looks amazing you will get more Bitcurrency
Even if it looks very messy you will still get a minimum of 1000 Bitcurrency.
Laptops do not count. You will not get any coins if you post a picture of a laptop.

I trust you to only post a picture that you took of your own PC gaming setup.
And I trust that you will only post 1 picture each.

Is this giveaway still going on? I saw nothing on the reddit channel.
Yes it is still going on but from now on it will be 1000 bitcurrency without the possibility of getting more than 1000.
It seems to me that the previous possibility of getting more than 1000 might have offended people because this can be seen as myself rating their computer.
I'm sorry if anyone was offended.

The idea behind giving coins to people with gaming rigs is because they are more able to afford to run the wallet 24/7 on their gaming PC. This allows the network to stay alive.
Also, I have always wanted to make a PC esports game. If I make one and use bitcurrency in it, I'd have people who could play the game and use bitcurrency in it.

Hello,

I have no programming knowledge but I have some Bitcurrency and can participate in bounty and giveaway by a plan.
Bitcurrency sure does need developers.
Any honest person is welcome to work on Bitcurrency as a free open source project if they like the project, idea and name.
They will not be paid money however.

You can send bitcurrency to them if they ask for it and you want to send coins to them. However be careful not to get scammed. Some people might fake it to get a lot of free coins.

There are ways you can help without spending anything.
For example Cryptobel-NL in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4110392 is running the discord for bitcurrency. You can ask him if he needs any help or assistance with something.

Also if you have any idea or think of something that can help bitcurrency,
You can create it, learn to create it, or ask if other people know how to create it.

Zeded, I think if you find 1-2 developers it would be great cause the price of that fake btcr pro reached more than $0.016 per coin and I think if our community continues it's way, there will be sunny days.

I believe if there be only one developer or two they can relaunch it even on ethereum network and we can burn coins for the new tokens. Yes, that would be more enjoyable for the community being on the ethereum network.

I don't think that is fair to everyone. Some people are holding since 2014. It would not be fair to anyone to say that they don't have bitcurrency anymore. What is the point of being an ethereum token in bitcurrency's scenario anyway?

Don't give up man.

Check the fake btcrp here and have some motivation.

I would rather give away bitcurrency for free than to sell it for cents.

Puzzles, casino, general knowledge faucet will take this coin to the moon
Not casino. Casino only benefits the casino owner and the people using the casino lose coins. It is not a good idea to gamble.

Faucets are a good idea. The faucet owner makes money from ad revenue. The faucet users get free bitcurrency. Both win. That is better.

Competitive video game tournaments with Bitcurrency prizes for tournament winners is a good idea.
The video game developer makes money from the video game. And people who become good at the game can play in tournaments to win Bitcurrency if they win the tournament. Free to play tournaments without paying anything to enter the tournament.
Both win without anyone losing.
That is great.

Puzzles to win Bitcurrency is a good idea too.

why my wallet still can not sync when I have put the add node correctly,
can you help me troubleshoot this dev?
I'm not a developer.
Bitcurrency currently has no developer.
Also I will not pay anyone money to develop it.
Currently Bitcurrency has no or little value. People are giving away free Bitcurrency worth maybe nothing. (also no one wants to take the free coins) If a developer wants to develop bitcurrency he can get free Bitcurrency and then work on it.

But I will try to help you sync your wallet in PM.

In Bitcurrency you can get free coins or earn coins so that maybe in the future you might be able to let other people earn them.
The goal is to enable everyone to transact around the world using Bitcurrency that they earn, not buy.

There has to be many ways for people to earn Bitcurrency.
From faucets and viewing ads to freelancing and entrepreneurship
If you can make ways where people can get free coins or earn coins then you will be rewarded in Bitcurrency.
Hopefully people let other people earn the free or earned coins that they got.

Examples of ways people can let other people earn bitcurrency include:

cookie-free sites where people can watch relevant ads by choosing what they like and want to watch ads for and earn Bitcurrency for watching the ads.

And a website where freelancing and gig work is made easy for both potential employers and the potential employees who pay and get paid in Bitcurrency.

Faucets are a good idea. The faucet owner makes money from ad revenue. The faucet users get free bitcurrency. Both win.

Competitive video game tournaments with Bitcurrency prizes for tournament winners. The video game developer makes money from the video game. And people who become good at the game can play in tournaments to win Bitcurrency if they win the tournament. Free to play tournaments without paying anything to enter the tournament.
Both win without anyone losing.

After a lot of people are earning coins, and Bitcurrency gets a market value, businesses might be able to earn Bitcurrency by accepting it as a payment.
