781  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taiwan lawmakers introduces digital asset bill for crypto regulation on: October 28, 2023, 07:47:54 AM
I don't see how separating business funds and customers assets will happen or how it will be implemented because this means that there are third-party services or applications that take customers’ money and leave the fees to the platform, or will the platform pay an amount as a guarantee because the platform’s failure to use customers’ funds makes their resources scarce, as some of them work like a bank, investing customers’ money in low-risk investments, It leaves a good percentage for daily withdrawal, so most or all platforms collapse if clients suddenly decide to withdraw their funds.
782  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I learned about airgapped wallets on: October 26, 2023, 11:13:27 AM
2. Generate a wallet on the offline computer and write down the provided seed phrase.

Write it down twice.

Add a passphrase on top of the wallet. A strong passphrase, not something like "passphrase123".

Write down the passphrase twice.

This will leave you with 4 different backups (Seed backup 1, Seed backup 2, Passphrase backup 1, Passphrase backup 2).

Make one of these backups out of metal, such as steel backup, because with all the geopolitical variables, fires, floods, disturbances, earthquakes, or wars may occur, and therefore it is better to keep one of the options from steel backup, as paper will not help you in such things.

Adding a multi-signature wallet will enhance your security if you know how to set it up correctly.
783  Economy / Reputation / Re: Question about signature campaigns - paid advertising, or personal endorsements? on: October 26, 2023, 10:53:26 AM
A paid signature is a form of trust in you. The user will click on the signature or prefer to use the service because he trusts you or sees that you provide high-quality posts, so what you ads will be a good thing.

These are the same reasons why advertising companies pay millions to Messi and Ronaldo, so you must try as much as possible to avoid advertising for scam/HYIP, or at least stop advertising for these services whenever you are certain that they are scammers.

My opinion:
The advertisement should be considered as a paid advertisement, not a personal endorsement from the wearer.
However, users should be responsible for ensuring that the signature they are wearing is not a scam.
If not personal endorsement, why encourage others to use it? Advertising is encouraging others to use it.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Surpasses Tesla, Ranks 11th Globally on: October 26, 2023, 10:43:21 AM
Market capacity is a rapidly changing measure and may lead Bitcoin to be close to or exceed Apple during the next 18 months, considering that we will stop somewhere between $2 trillion and $3 trillion.
There is also no comparison between Bitcoin and Tesla, as they are both in different fields and target a different type of customer, and Bitcoin is not a stock to be compared to one of the stocks. This title would be good for the beginning of an article to attract views, but there is no relationship between Bitcoin and Tesla that would make us compare the market capacities between them.
785  Economy / Speculation / Re: 127% Up from Bottom in 2022 on: October 26, 2023, 10:20:44 AM
Many are still bearish and think it will go back but let me tell you, it's not going to stop anytime soon. I hope this HODL journey will be awesome for all of us.
This is bad. I was hoping to see more times to buy Bitcoin at a price less than 30,000, but it seems that the wheels of the train have moved. Let us hope that Bitcoin maintains levels near 30,000 and does not move quickly. In general, until March it reached the price of 40,000 to 50,000. The possibility of 100,000 during 2024 will be very possible.
786  Other / Meta / Re: Why is Halloween not being celebrated in our forum yet this year? on: October 26, 2023, 09:59:13 AM
Create your own event and maybe someone will celebrate it with you.

The other which was just launched by @ Hhampuz and Roobet will end on the 14th of November so I guess you still have enough time to participate in this one.
Bitcoin Pizza bake-off contest! was by Cyrus (Administrator)  I think this is the reason for the user's question here in the Meta section.

What's the relation between Halloween and Bitcoin?
An easy way to earn Merits.
The last pizza challenge[1] last time added a big boost to many users and is considered the ideal place for alt-accounts farms.

Likewise, I wonder if we open a competition without the condition that posts will be judged on merit, will it have the same popularity? Smiley

Guess what the country he talked about in his first post. Grin

787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much could you earn in a day ? on: October 26, 2023, 09:47:18 AM

1. Is it possible to make 1% on a trade within a short time frame as in a few hours or a day ? Would that also inturn mean that you would make 10% on futures with a 10x leverage? I would like to elaborate more on this i just simply dont know where to begin. It would be nice if i could have a conversation with someone who has experience on the matter.

In trading, there is a white day and a black day, meaning that you will make a profit on one day and a loss on the other day. The possibility of achieving 1% of profit per day may not be possible in the first days. You will achieve profits of 1% or more, and tomorrow you will achieve losses, and so on, and therefore you must try to make the average 1%.

2. In a normal trade when you buy a certain coin means there is someone else selling on the opposite end. does this rule apply the same for Futures ? Say im going to put in $1000 Long on coin X . does that mean it will only fill if there is someone Shorting the same coin at the same leverage at the same value of $1000?
Since you are a beginner, I do not advise you to use leverage, as spot trading futures contracts can earn you a profit of 1%. Try to maintain this percentage and learn more about trading.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Michael Saylor talks about Bitcoin, and you WILL be disappointed on: October 25, 2023, 03:17:43 PM
Saylor was not the first investor to change his orientation because he found a way to achieve more profits, and he will not be the only one. In the history of Bitcoin, we have witnessed people who were enthusiastic about Bitcoin and suddenly changed everything for the sake of profits. For example, we have Roger Ver.
In short, look for ideas that you believe in and invest, and do not invest because someone thinks that Bitcoin is good.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The PATRIOT Act comes to cryptocurrency on: October 25, 2023, 02:49:24 PM
Does anyone know what the impact of such a law (if passed) would be on the forum? I found that they are citing some of the reasons that prompted them to do so at ---->  https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/03/09/ fact-sheet-president-biden-to-sign-executive-order-on-ensuring-responsible-innovation-in-digital-assets/
If we search, we will find that some of the mixing service providers accused in the above list are present in this forum, and according to the page --->  https://bitcointalk.org/privacy.php,

Quote
Bitcointalk.org is in US jurisdiction, and is subject to US subpoenas, wiretap orders, preservation orders (which would negate the above retention rules), and similar. Furthermore, our service providers could also be subject to similar orders without our knowledge. Note that we consider PMs to require a warrant in order to be released.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you leave the country or will you stay, stand up and fight for your right? on: October 25, 2023, 02:37:43 PM
Depending on the extent of the impact of Bitcoin on your life and income, if the impact is direct and may cause you to lose your source of income, you may be forced to travel to a second country and try to start over, which is what happens with capitalist companies and individuals, as they prefer to go to other countries that have cheaper taxes or cheap workers, and they will do exactly that with Bitcoin. .
As for individuals, I do not think that most of us consider Bitcoin as a sole source of income, and therefore if your situation is good, you will consider keeping your Bitcoin and waiting several years until it has great value.
791  Economy / Services / Re: [HIRING] Utopia P2P - Channel Moderators 📢📢📢 on: October 25, 2023, 02:18:12 PM
Can you add more information about the required skills, experiences, or at least what the person will do during 7 days a week, 8 hours a day?
The average payment per month? Will it be in Bitcoin?
792  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Careful scammers and hackers using mail spoofing on: October 25, 2023, 02:08:01 PM
Yesterday I received email from my own email saying that he/she has monitored every keystore and all the information about me is all gathered
he has sent me a Bitcoin address and told me that if I did not send any money in the form of Bitcoin he would expose my data has anyone received this kind of email?

Aren't you supposed to research how he gained access to the keystore, or at least encrypt your data in a separate, open source, offline place? It is true that such scammers try to steal your money by claiming that they know data that no one knows but them, but they are liars.
Try as much as possible not to publish your personal email and information publicly.

Also be careful with any keyboard software, it collects a lot of data.
793  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bulldog Exchange ✔️ Platform for fast and reliable exchange ✔️ on: October 25, 2023, 01:50:25 PM
can you sign a message to an address that has a sufficient balance of Bitcoin or add legal information that you have a balance estimated at any value close to a million dollars?
I bet he will pretend he did see this and continue posting like a bot  Grin
I might go with neutral trust and/or ignoring him since the purpose of the forum is discussions, but it is not a wise policy. He cannot pump the topic (keeping it on the fist page using that bot) without the help of an old account, and without a useful discussion NO ONE will help him to make the promotional campaign successful or at least good introduction to the service.
794  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 01:21:15 PM
I noticed that some of my posts were deleted, but they were in the self-moderated topic, after reviewing Many topics, I do not think that the reason for the deletion was to hide plagiarism or any other activities. He may have been a little disturbed by his previous posts.

Frankly, I did not find enough time to read the GazetaBitcoin topic, so my reply is limited to my posts that have been deleted.

795  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US Treasury against cryptomixers on: October 25, 2023, 01:07:46 PM
It is just a proposed new regulation that would go through some process before it finally becomes a law. This proposed law will be uncovered tomorrow and it will go through public scrutiny for ninety days before it will either be adopted or shelved.

I thought it was Thursday 10/19 and not tomorrow. In general, such legislation will restrict the work and development of many privacy enhancing tools, as many developers are located in the United States or are trying to comply with US legislation, including this forum, which may be prohibited such services, so let's hope the final version is good.
796  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy not so difficult to Understood simple way on: October 24, 2023, 02:02:59 PM
The increasing need for spending and the feeling that there is division among some countries will force more countries to spend, but the problem is always inflation, the rise of which leads to an increase in all prices, which may reflect negatively on individuals. Therefore, I expect that interest rates will not be reduced until the first quarter of next year, from which it will begin printing money and recovery for all markets.

The economy, as simple as it is, is so intertwined that any change without calculated consequences will lead to disaster.

We must also not forget the intersection of economics and politics, which may affect individual decisions.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: World Debt Clock by nations. on: October 24, 2023, 01:48:57 PM
Global debt has accelerated sharply over the last 10 years due to the Corona pandemic, monetary stimulus packages, and geopolitical conflicts, and it is likely to continue accelerating due to the military buildup between countries. Citizens and taxpayers often pay the price either by increasing taxes or by decreasing exchange rates (the value of the currency), so it increases. Labor strikes and the feeling that salaries are no longer what they were in the past, and this tension often leads to revolutions or wars. Therefore, all countries do not pay attention to the debt crisis, which is often passed on to future generations or borne by the middle and poor classes.
798  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: GUIDE:Important factors to take into account while choosing a wallet on: October 24, 2023, 01:41:05 PM
It is called cold storage wallet when you use it on an airgap device to generate your keys and you will never allow it to have access to the internet. You can download Electrum from the original website and use a USB to transfer the app to your PC that is not  connected to the internet and generate the seeds, or you only on your internet once to download the electrum wallet app and after that you should never connect it to the internet after you must have generated your seed.
The cold storage wallet could be an air-gapped wallet if we deleted all wireless networks such as WiFi, NFC, etc. But the opposite is not true. What you are trying to explain can be shortened by burning tails onto a USB and then booting from that open source OS.

There is an advantage that some hardware wallets have secure elements, so at the top of the list are an air-gapped open source hardware wallets that have two or three secure elements.
799  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: The Geyser.fund team is here 🌊 on: October 24, 2023, 01:11:14 PM

Geyser is a bitcoin crowdfunding platform for creators who want to monetize for their projects ideas. We make it super easy for creators to get started and for contributors to fundraise their projects. So far we have helped creators raise over 26 BTC in just over a year, have over 900 projects on our platform, and route around 1-2BTC every month. In short, we are powering the bitcoin creator economy. We are seeing 3 main areas of activity: Educators, Creatives/Culture, Communities.

Where do you get money for a crowdfunding platform? What is the mechanism for selecting projects and the project license required? Will it be open source and available for commercial activities, or will the final project be closed source?
Include more details, such as financing conditions, payment deadline, will partnerships be established and shares distributed or will they be tokens, and will project managers receive Bitcoin?

Add a link with more F.A.Q will be better.
