1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: All in the name of bear market is coming on: October 04, 2021, 12:32:43 PM
Why dont you quit yapping and put your money where your mouth is. If you're so sure things are gonna tank, please take out a substantial short position on a crypto of your choice, then make a Post about it with screenshots etc so people know you arent just a motormouth.

So hackers can track my account and identity? no, thank you and by the way I do not care whether or not people follow my advice. I know many people that in january 2018 cursed me for 2 weeks and then the crash came and lost 95% in the end and then many of those people came to say you were right and I lost big and same thing happened in march 2020 when I said that btc crash from 12k to 4k was the greatest beartrap to date and the ones who followed my advice won big. Yeah in january 2021 i said not to buy gpus anymore because paying 3 to 5 x to me is insane, but like i said and I always empathize play safe and win big, take the time, do not rush on things. If people missed this time, there will be other times, getting in right now is a double suicide, people missed when it started and right now getting in late --> people are committing a double loss here, better to start early and then stop early too --> double win and even if people have not earned much then they played safe and won in the end, nothing against people who gets late but I will not give any advice to do that.

The reality here is that people envy others and that is bad, you see youtubers and thieves saying they got millionaire overnight or in a week with false claims and then you see many people falling for these traps, greedy is what drives people and then the media, auto reply social media message saying to people to get in, sell everything they had and get in, it was a carnage, most of those people are lucky because this thing did not really crash yet but everything pointed to a huge crash after january 2021. I gave a sane advice, yeah i could have given the advice greedy people wanted to hear, "get all in", "sell your house and everything and buy crypto" and so on and i did not, anyway i have principles. So my point here is better be safe than sorry because losing big will always be a lot lot worse than missed big.

You are a motormouth and doomsayer with nothing plausible to backup your FUD.

It all depends on at which price you sell the mined coins.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes/POS the future of mining? on: September 16, 2018, 11:31:12 PM
Masternode coins are viable and do have a good chance to be successful.
Based on what?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Masternodes/POS the future of mining? on: September 16, 2018, 09:35:24 PM
POS is the same thing as if you would put your money in the bank and leave it there for an interest. So it has nothing to do with "mining". FYI

Well not really unless you are doing POS with a third party service. Real POS involves having a dedicated computer/server turned on 24/7 to also validate any transactions that are sent your way. So technically, yes, it is still mining, mining transactions at the cost of "staking" your coins in case you try and do anything something malicious.

POS could be the future, but until real coins like ETH implement it, i wouldn't decide anything yet.

No it is not. Your "mining" is actually supporting the network for free. And just like the bank, your share(interest) depends on the size of your stake. But, unlike the bank, the amount of risk is ridiculous.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [1080 | 1080TI] ETHlargement - The Hashrate Hardener on: September 03, 2018, 09:14:35 PM
As for me it's useless to increase core for ETH.
Increasing it to around 140-180 will let you lower the power limit. 1080 Ti needs around 1450-1500 core clock in order to maintain 54MH/s+ hashrate. Right now my cards are running at ~165W and ~55MH/s on Linux.

yes, those zotac mini`s will drop core to 1100mh/z no matter how much i clock it. they are on 60 tdp however. increasing it to 65 boosts a core clock well over 1300 and in that case i can normally clock mem to 600. must be something in the very design of power distribution within the mini itself, other cards run smoothly on 60 tdp.

Sia is asic territory, not for gpu mining...  Roll Eyes
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [1080 | 1080TI] ETHlargement - The Hashrate Hardener on: August 31, 2018, 08:17:37 AM
This works like a charm, except on my Asus strix 1080ti cards.
It seems to pull down the core clock as soon as I start the pill.

Same on zotac mini 1080ti. If i downclock memory from +600 to +200, core clock goes up significantly.

and what is the hashrate? I got 36/38 on mine!
On zotac mini i get around 48 mh/s with tdp 63, core 200 and mem 300. If i clock memory higher, the core frequency drops to about 1100 mh/s and the hashrate goes down to 42-43. I also have evga sc2 and palit gamerock prem with no such issues. They are steady on 51-53 mh/s with tdp 63, core +100, mem +600.

^^
Yes. 1080ti with those settings would be around 54mh/s.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Fork | Mining Algorithm Change? | Bitmain Overvalued | GPU vs ASIC on: August 26, 2018, 10:57:25 PM
eth devs are stinking rich now and don`t really care anymore. look how buterin turned from visionary genius to second-grade philosopher.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining performance of Nvidia RTX 2080 Series on: August 25, 2018, 08:48:57 AM
because there is no other coin that has not been invaded by ASICS and has been made unprofitable for GPU's

Nonsense. Bring down nicehash and you`ll see how profitable everything is again to mine. Nicehash is the doom of home miners, asics not so much.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At what price point people will stop mining? on: August 22, 2018, 08:39:36 AM
well, it`s really simple - hack the shit out of nicehash, bring them down completely and you could mine with nice profit eth, raven or whatever that is on their algo list.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Unprofitable - What next? on: August 16, 2018, 11:05:31 AM
Turned off my rigs yesterday. Mining does not pay anymore.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: July 10, 2018, 01:27:55 PM
It was profitable to mine raven a couple months ago till the btc drop and rvn itself dropped pretty hard still,  i have found is zero coin is good mining right now i run 10 x1080ti's on suprnova and mine a little over 25$ a day depending on my overclock,  luxcore is also good mining with the algo update but at this point in time zero is the most profitable coin to mine with reasonable stability in price  there are other coins that are more profitable but there isnt enough buying volume at the profitable levels

zero is ok, but it is still only for linux.

Interesting... It must have died out because it was a scam. And because someone did something about it.
20  Other / Meta / Re: Scam gate on: June 25, 2018, 03:41:01 PM
I have never received any "lottery scams" via my post office. What are you talking about? You must be living in a very scammy state. Also, if you are ok with this forum being known as a scammer`s paradise, be my guest, because i can`t see any will from your side to even try to put an end to this.
