1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problems had bitcoin investion solved for you till today? on: April 17, 2026, 10:49:58 PM
it’s definitely being able to send or receive money even from other countries. there’s no more looking for appropriate banks and waiting until the banks send it to you.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The economics of 0% house edge on: April 17, 2026, 10:34:42 PM
if this is the case, we should assume that there’ something going on behind the scenes. the casino is dishonest because there is no point of running a business if they’re not going to profit.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Realities about money we don't understand on: April 13, 2026, 01:12:08 PM
money is not everything but just imagine the alternative

without money, you won't have food on the table, you won't even have a table probably to begin with. if you get sick, you'll probably just wait until you die because you can't afford to get treated. the hard truth is that you need money if you want to live comfortably
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling addiction a silent killer? on: April 11, 2026, 11:23:23 AM
Yes, gambling addiction could be a silent killer if the addicted person chose to keep it secret from everyone, then they might start making impulsive decision and since there's no one to help them  out from those evil thought they might just decide to do it without even considering the disadvantage. Personally i like discussing my gambling experiment with people around me so that if there's anything I need to know they will tell me, because when you're doing something within yourself you can easily make the wrong decision that might result something negative.
it’s good to be open about your gambling to others as it holds you accountable. the moment you feel secretive about your gambling habits, it might be a sign that there’s something wrong already
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling addictive? on: April 09, 2026, 06:46:35 AM
it's not simply an opinion. it's a scientific fact that gambling does trigger a chemical reaction in our brain making it release dopamine and that dopamine is what our brain keeps looking for. that's why it's addictive and it's often hard to beat because you're battling your own brain chemistry
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strategy just bought another 4,871 BTC on: April 07, 2026, 05:46:47 AM
there’s really nothing surprising anymore with strategy buying more bitcoin. it’ll be more surprising if they sold all their bitcoins after accumulating them all these years. strategy is obviously implementing a long term plan. after a couple of years, they’ll be the ones swimming in profit.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: The guide during a crisis on: April 07, 2026, 05:24:18 AM
Some of you here might have never actually lived through a crisis. Fact is that it has happened before and it will continue to happen in the future. What to actually do during a crisis even if you’re not directly involved in the region where the crisis is happening?
This is a valid point to make when an economic crisis hits, as starting a more frugal lifestyle will help us survive uncertain economic conditions. However, there's one piece of advice we should heed and consistently implement, as this isn't just a practice during a crisis. For most people today, eating at home is no longer a problem and if we implement it, we can actually save money and vice versa, using public transportation to travel to work.

When we implement these small practices, we can manage our emergency funds to become larger and the impact can be much better in facing an impending economic crisis. The problem is that most of us aren't prepared, so when a crisis strikes, we struggle to keep up due to our wasteful lifestyles and inability to control excessive spending in our daily lives.
Frugal life style is a tool that is sold to poor people by the rich people. People who are living a normal life do not want to live on a mansion and drive lambos, they just want to be able to survive a normal life. Europe has done this for decades, after a whole world war, they literally rebuilt it in a way where for 20-30 years they built a perfect life for the "normal people". Not the homeless, not the billionaire, for the ordinary man.

All we want, is to own our home, have a decent car, not lambo, just like whatever suv family car, something simple, and you can change that once every decade, not every year, and be able to afford 1 family vacation a year and not be in poverty, that's it, this is all we want, nothing more. Europe has done it for decades, the whole world can as well. Unless billionaires stop it.
only a small percentage of people actually drive lambos or own multiple properties across the world. it’s not the realistic dream for most people. if we could just travel once in a while it’s already enough but realistically, not everyone will be billionaires and that’s okay. just make sure you are living comfortably and aren’t on the brink of poverty all the time.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: the power of resources on: April 07, 2026, 05:06:53 AM
The fight over resources has been there since the start of men in the world. This war currently going on is clearly due to the control of resources because, any side that wins will not only win with bombs and guns but, also have control over resources. The middle east is one place that is blessed with oil and the control over this oil is one thing that is one of the primary reasons of this war. Many may not agree or look at it that way but that's the fact,  the so called super powers of today all has resources at their disposal which was taken by any means best known to them.
trump has managed to make people think he is doing everyone a favor by attacking iran. he has made it look like he is stopping an evil force that is iran when in reality he is just greedy and wants to take control of their oil. it’s obvious and anyone who believes otherwise is just ignorant
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful what you choose to believe about Quantum on: April 02, 2026, 09:41:00 PM
Trust me, quantum computers won't just come and wipe away all the efforts that has been made so far, some countries are already naming themselves the homeland of crypto, you expect something like quantum computer to come and ruin all that?

With the way things are going with this quantum thing I can't help but believe that some people will have to let go of their Bitcoin to avoid the quantum thing.
Satoshi Nakamoto replied about it years ago, let's see.
However, if something happened and the signatures were compromised (perhaps integer factorization is solved, quantum computers?), then even agreeing upon the last valid block would be worthless.
True, if it happened suddenly.  If it happens gradually, we can still transition to something stronger.  When you run the upgraded software for the first time, it would re-sign all your money with the new stronger signature algorithm.  (by creating a transaction sending the money to yourself with the stronger sig)

Two big questions: whether quantum computers in 2026 can be powerful enough for doing that compromise successfully; and the Bitcoin developers already have anything in hands to fight back - upgrading Bitcoin protocol and migrating to stronger signature algorithm.

I don't see the threat is powerful enough to succeed now while Bitcoin developers have still been working hard for improving Bitcoin protocol with time.
bitcoin has been strong all these years with no signs of weak points as many people try to improve it further. anyone scared of quantum threats now are just panicking and not really grasping the idea. i continue to believe in bitcoin and its design
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why aren't social casino's an actual social casino? on: April 02, 2026, 09:30:10 PM
bring a friend to any casino and it will be a social one. or come up to strangers and strike conversations. i don’t know exactly what you want but if it’s the feeling of actually going to a casino with people through online then it’s not yet possible but could be,
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the 2026 Supercycle still on the table? on: March 29, 2026, 09:34:56 PM
the 2026 supercycle has not been in the table for quite awhile already. it was only a narrative people used to spread fomo during the times that bitcoin was doing really well. but now, it’s evident that the usual cycle of bitcoin still exists and now we are in the bear cycle.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think this software can help you with your lotto betting? on: March 29, 2026, 09:16:19 PM
While scrolling in my feeds, I stumble upon this so-called Smart Software For Smart players
This software is for a lotto bettor.
This software is worth $30 lifetime usage, and you can apply it in over 100 lotteries in many countries

Quote
If anything can help us improve our ability to predict numbers, it would be historical data. Software can gather a comprehensive dataset of past lottery results, including winning numbers and dates. This data can be used to identify patterns or trends that may aid in making predictions. However, finding a suitable model to describe this process has proven challenging.
So, what about Artificial Intelligence? The short answer is: maybe. Software also employs statistical techniques to analyze historical data. These include frequency analysis to determine the most commonly drawn numbers, tracking hot and cold numbers, assessing number distribution, and other relevant statistical measures. The results are presented to users in a way that allows for easy access and swift verification.
The Lotto software application is designed to assist you in playing the lottery while incorporating some intelligent strategies into the process of picking numbers.

Question: If you're a lotto bettor, will you go for $30 lifetime usage to use this software for you to have a better chance to win in a lottery?

if i had $30 to spare, i’d probably try this out of curiosity. lotto should be random but a software like this can find if there’s any patterns. i wouldn’t expect for this software to actually help me win but i’ll just see if it can find patterns from previous rounds
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They will say lost bitcoin is estimated to be... on: March 26, 2026, 05:18:46 AM
Good example of why “lost” Bitcoin is often just “not moving” Bitcoin. Coins can sit untouched for years and suddenly move, all it takes is someone finding a seed phrase or regaining access. That’s why estimates of lost BTC are always… estimates.
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/lost-bitcoin.asp

In Bitcoin, silence doesn’t always mean disappearance.
well especially where long-term holding of bitcoin is encouraged we can’t always assume that unmoving bitcoins are lost and can’t be accessed by their owners anymore. some people just have crazy discipline not to touch their coins until they decide to do so.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Hardship as a global problem on: March 23, 2026, 02:41:19 PM
Currently in the world today.hardship is every where, it is not just a country problem but a universal phenomenon that is occurring rapidly. It is clearly seen that people are literally not able to eat even a square meal for a day. Especially those in under developed countries.hardship which is now a global spread has taken its roots in the world today. We now seat and face our day to day survival with no hope of what would happen next. Sincerely I think this great problem can be resolved if nations could come together and create a universal solution to it
i know this comes from good intentions but this is simply not possible. there is no universal solution because the problems of each nation are not the same. they may share similarities but not everything is the same down to the line.
15  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KYC abolition is not a niche, but mainstream: millions of users are already here on: March 23, 2026, 02:08:38 PM
The average person probably sends their documents to about 20 different services. Maybe more.

I wonder how many copies of their ID are floating around.

So it's not like mandating KYC everywhere is going to actually solve anything. The fact that these platforms already have enhanced, undisclosed compliance measures even for users who have already completed KYC just shows how useless collecting everyone's identification is.

And it only takes one hack, exit scam or something similar for all those documents to go into the hands of hard criminals who then use them to completely and irreversibly destroy your life.

It is really a scary thing but people still trade in security for comfort. As if though any of these platforms can or should be trusted in the first place.

I really do not understand their thinking.

Considering the alarming advancement of AI it's a risk to often share your documents on platforms, internet never forget even when deleted sometimes wayback machine can always help the tech guru's to recover it.
Moreover it's easy to clone document this days using AI including biometrics and the system may not be able to detect it.

i feel that ai is a smart move for people to not even notice that their data is being taken and they are giving it willingly. when people make trends related to ai, they feed information to it (documents, and even just speaking to it alone) and people don't even realize this. they will just realize it in the future when their data is leaked.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Someone stake his wife in a gambling bet. on: March 20, 2026, 11:21:16 AM
This might sound very crazy but it happened live in my area were a two close friend was aggressively analyzing a football game to the extent of even quarreling so at the end they ended up agreed on betting their wife's , that was when I came in and I  was like are you both serious about this? I asked them because I can't get it how this whole gambling stuff has taken another level to the point of you people coming up with such ridiculous idea.

However, this is the most craziest I have ever heard or seen in my years of experience,  or will I say they were just kidding and wasn't that serious about it, what do you think?
it seems that they were just kidding. gamblers use this kind of language all the time. they may bet material things but sometimes for comedic purposes or to emphasize just how much the bet is worth lol

i wouldn't take it seriously unless the wife actually gets traded or something
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: The effects of this war will be regretted in the short run on: March 20, 2026, 11:00:22 AM
well bitcoin isn't connected to any of the parties involved in the war fortunately. so it won't exactly be affected by whatever decision these countries make. however the rise of oil and other expenses will make people look for investments that could be considered a safe haven. but some might pull out their investments to make ends meet for this period.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ongoing war changed your perspective on how you gamble? on: March 17, 2026, 12:06:04 PM
If you've been living in countries affected by the Middle East crisis, has this ongoing war changed your perspective on how you gamble? Did you take a break or minimise your gambling session so you can save for any eventualities that this war will bring?
since the prices of goods have risen, i am becoming a little more mindful of where i spend my money on. there's really not a lot of extra money i can dedicate to gambling. i just stick with my free fantasy sports for now Grin
19  Economy / Economics / Re: The economies of most countries are under threat. on: March 17, 2026, 11:36:44 AM
The US-Israel vs Iran war has not reached a month but most countries have felt the impact, for example, I saw in some news that Dutch citizens have bought gasoline in Belgium, in my country is no exception, several gas stations have been closed due to not getting supplies, what the government needs to do now is just look for alternatives, because it is possible that the war will continue, which will result in the closure of the Strait of Hormuz continuing.
has it only been two weeks? but the prices of gas in my country are now skyrocketing and many companies are opting to work from home because of how high the prices of gas and transportation have become. rallies are done to ask for more consideration because it is becoming too much for the citizens to bear.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Women feelings and economic impact on: March 11, 2026, 08:10:36 AM
Most people's economic decisions are driven by emotions, I'd argue. Women's emotions definitely drive them more in life decisions, in general, but very often men also buy stuff without clear or logical reasoning. Gambling is emotion-driven. That car you want to buy, or that clothe, because you want to impress.
we all probably have that one purchase we regret because we let our emotions get in the way it’s just we spend it differently women may buy bags or clothes but men might also buy games both can be said are bought with emotions
