For low hashrate on win10, you can solve it by updating windows to the latest version.

Rx560 is one of the most profitable VGA for mining XMR. Keep go on.

Isn't 200 quite expensive? I think you should also consider warranty issues.

I heard that news.. too bad. My friends said there were already delay issue with innosilicon before, they never recommend innosilicon.

Thanks, I totally agreeee

For now, ETH and Zcash is the most reliable answer. There are numerous of POW coins with small market gap, they are lack of capacity of hashrate. When mining rigs start to mine those coins, difficulty will be skyrocketted, causing dramatic decrease of its profitability.

Algorithms for cpu only coins need to be compatible with cpu only feathres, (such as L3 chache)? As ethash algorithm made itself ASIC-resistant by using huge Vram usage.

Most driver updates don't affect hashrates and unconfirmed new version drivers may cause instability to mining rigs. I don't recommend not update drivers if your mining rigs were stabilized.

I saw some users already tried what you said, conclusion was that there are too many hurdles for it. Those server regularly checks systems for spywares, terminating the miners. Also nearly every hosting price was more expensive than mining profitability. Some used free nodes provided from promotions or events, it seems very limited for making enough profit.

Heard that some pools connects the VoteCoin mining port to the Zcash mining server, taking extra coins made from the difference of two coin's profitibility. Could it be true?

Hi All,
I just joined the site. It seems like a pretty good resource and you've been most helpful. I finally started mining after debating it for years while it went from a buck fifty to over $4k. I will get straight to the point and post a short list of questions. I would appreciate your assistance.
My demo setup= FX8350 OC'd, 16GB Corsair 1866MHz RAM, buncha SSDs and M.2 SSD, and my favorite, my EVGA 1070 SC. At the moment I have an EVGA 600W PSU and tomorrow my Thermaltake 750 arrives. For more betterness on the OC side.
Just be straight up, tell me if I'm doing something the retarded way i.e. the interface, Win vs Ubuntu vs Mac, etc. I am learning this thing dammit.
1. I started off with NiceHash Miner 2.0.11 and Bitcoin Core 0.15.0. I'm pulling in 450 H/s on the Equihash. Is that decent? How does H/s translate into MH/s?
2. I want to mine Ethereum. I got GETH up and going but I haven't seen a decent set of instructions on the language. Can you please walk me through step by step because the youtube videos suck. I can get it up and running, but wh. wtf is it doing, where do I enter in my Ethereum wallet ID and all that good stuff?
3. Is Linux more profitable due to less overhead on the GPU?
That's it for now. Thanks.
1. Nicehash miner has a little higher fees compared to other miners like EWBF miners. Try download EWBF miner, register to pool sites and start mining. 2. For beginners or light users, you don't really need GETH for ETH mining. It's too space consuming. I recommend some web based ETH wallets like MyEtherWallet or so. Ethereum mining is same. Download Ethereum miners such as Claymore's or ethminer. Register to ethereum mining pools like Suprnova or MPH, start mining by editing batch file. 3. Linux has no advantage on profitability.

I'm not flypool user, but too much share count may cause heavy load for pool servers. For miners, not affecting very much with profitability. It seems like bringing more benefits for pool.

Users of my local mining community calculated the profitability, but the conclusion was that it's nearly impossible to make profit considering the price and lifetime of solar panel.

Need an isolated room with ventilation. Bedroom,, maybe bad for your health because of noise and electronic wave.

If it isn't a case that you're going to run 8+ same cards for mining or having a issue with windows lisence ,Windows is easier with troubleshooting and supports many additional helper tools. There's no additional stability with using ubuntu.

There are some zcash cpu miner like nheqminer, but cpu hashrate is very low. It will be negligible compared to gpu mining.

No problem at all. Some of my rigs run with 2gb ram and they're running very well. Just make sure to set >16gb of virtual mem.

ZEC with 1080ti, which has additional hash increase with power consumption.

ZEC with 1060, try XMR with 480. ETH has difficulty problem now.
