1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POW] [XHV] Haven Protocol - untraceable payments x stable value storage on: March 27, 2018, 05:26:00 AM
Looks like the Havven payment network and stablecoin only with mining any relation? The whitepaper looks very similar to Havven's as well.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Rebrand - RX570 / RX580 - Official Thread on: November 13, 2017, 10:15:35 PM
Guys, I am struggling for two days now, maybe someone could help.

I have 6 x Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ 8 GB and I am not able to use 6 of them. My bios is modded properly and they work fine if I use up to 4 cards in a rig. But once I get more than 4 cards - I have cards visibility problem.

I have tried numerous drivers options, blockchain drivers work the best, but they only get 4 cards max to work (for some reason, they work if the patch is no applied).

I have also tried configuring motherboard bios, disabled secure boot and switched PCI-E to Gen2.

Is there any possibility that my motherboard (Asus H170) is not able to take on more than 4 cards? One of the power connectors is not plugged in (Molex/M2).

Has someone else experienced this? Does this look like a purely driver issue?

I would try checking all your connections and make sure your power supply is large enough for all those cards.

Also I've seen that after mods the drivers may need to be reinstalled.

I like Byteball. Really undervalued right now I think.

What do you think the price of byteball and blackbyte could go to? I saw in the whitepaper that once the units are broken up they can't be repackaged, which would make all the transactions start to go towards just being in bytes. Since they can't be put back into higher denominations it makes me think that the higher denominations could be seen as more valuable. On top of that won't the currency tending to bytes increase the DAG size significantly? I do like the idea of Byteball and the DAG though, I feel like if there are enough nodes to power this it could be a game changer. Only concern on that is whether or not you need a set amount of bytes to operate a node and act as a witness to prevent someone from just creating a bunch of nodes to attack or censor the network.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [PST] Presearch: Decentralized Search Engine on: September 18, 2017, 06:51:35 AM
Interesting and all, but if this is decentralized, who will be in control of the web crawllers and hard drive space? The amount of not just hard drive space, but probably SSDs, servers with hundreds of gigabytes of ram needed to run a Google is astronomical. We're talking about indexing the internet.

And will it honor the do not index robot.txt?

If it doesn't that would kind of be an innovation.

Google has huge buildings dedicated to the servers for all of this and across multiple locations for redundancy and instead of thinking of those rational thoughts I thought "oh ICO with some hype, that's it here's some money." Perfect example of the saying " a fool and his money are soon parted " In my defense though after having done research on other coins and such since this time I don't think I would have invested.

dead or what? ico still going on webpage but devs seem not active

Ya I second this comment.. Their twitter is still active, not sure if that is something that is community ran or not, but for now I'm just giving them some time.. I'm concerned about it, but I'm going to wait it out. Didn't put too much money into this though for reasons like this, but an update from the devs would be a boost of confidence though not only for me, but for the community.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite Token? and why? on: September 17, 2017, 05:23:47 PM
ETH because of their staying power, I also like OMG though too. The OMG team have said that their tech is going to be able to use fiat, which if it all goes well would be huge. Then there's NEO ... I have mixed feelings on it .. if China comes out with regulations that work with blockchain tech this one I think will boom, but if the Chinese government doesn't have good news it could really hurt this one. NEO from the start has said that they are willing to work with the government too though.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is best for a short position? ETH, LTC or BTC? on: September 17, 2017, 05:12:18 PM
In 2-3 weeks I think some of the other Chinese exchanges said they are going to be stopping business for the Chinese citizens. I don't know what effect this will have on prices, but I'm thinking it will cause another dip. Probably not as big as when the original announcements were made, but a dip all the same. Also, if you watch the news for these three coins right now any news coming out is having effects on prices so you might be able to catch something there.
