People feel that if just being a part of any project gets them some amount of profit, what if they actually create their own project with the utilization of their new tokens. But then, PROFIT generation is the actual thing. Although there are some people who create new coins just to con people and run away with their money, And it's us who has to take care of our investments so think before investing anywhere.

It did hit 700$ today itself, and will cross 750 or maybe 800$ for sure before Santa Claus arrives

Ethereum is widely accepted and has multiple uses, it is more preferred than Waves. I don't think Waves will ever manage to lead Ethereum ever.

As you're just starting fresh now, I would suggest getting some rough idea about how alt coins work, how they can be used or traded and then actually go ahead with something. Start by reading the Altcoin discussion subforum and participate in Airdrops or Bounty Campaigns for starters, once you are well versed with them and get some values out of it, then start searching for potential projects to invest in and once you are well confident and assured of a potential Project, invest some assets into it.

Monero is always my favourite and if it was for me, I would definitely but Monero as much as I could.

Most of the people would have undoubtedly mentioned about Ethereum. Currently, Eth prices have almost doubled from what it was in the last week. I suggest new potential Alt coins, such as ACC or Nuls which have excellent project setup and product/service to back their cryptocurrencies are worth buying, as that won't be dumped easily, people are definitely holding them whoever has such coins. So, research well before buying any of them.

The idea seems promising, and as there's a bounty airdrop this will be great.

That's completely unpredictable, but in my opinion, maybe the price of ETH would be in the range of $600-$700. Reaching the $1K mark would take quite some time for Ethereum. Yet, it's us on whom the value of Eth depends. We are the ones who'll shape it

I would choose to hold both, currently Bitcoin prices have surged a lot. I've been following bitcoin since it was $2.5K per BTC, and now it's almost touching the $10K mark. I won't be able to afford to buy bitcoin now, but with some earning out of my Altcoins will surely convert some ETH to BTC and hold. I've some ether right now but I'm waiting for some good amount of ether so I'd convert them via shapeshift. Both BTC and ETH have the potential of he long run in figure.

I've never been a part of ICO yet as I still am not sure about it's legitimacy. But soon I'll try searching for a legit ICO, which would have all the necessary prerequisites present in their project with a good idea/product for it to have a long future.

Altcoins have a future when they are backed with a powerful project that will have practical implementation and not exaggerated concepts on paper. Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero etc have been proving their potential since a long time and that's the reason their usability is soivh in today's Crypto world. Many Altcoins are just there in the market for the sake of simply existing without any project/product backing the coin..

I would recommend to buy it, as Bitcoin is right now having a very unhealthy growth, so definitely it will fall down a bit in some time, buying and holding will be the right action, as sooner or later it will settle to a stable price for quite some time.

If you're new to crypto world, straightaway starting with ICO won't be a good idea, mate. First try registering for airdrops or bounty campaigns and get some asset first then start searching for good ICOs with promising project and idea backing it, research on it and then participate in the ICO sales.

Many of them, I suggest go for ACC now, they have good staking plans and their product is awesome too. Will gain a lot of value soon

In my opinion, Ethereum should be one for the long term hodling, LTC is a good option too, but I like Eth more than any. I feel this is going to be the next bitcoin in future for sure

As a new year's gift, eth crossing the $500 mark would be too good. And it is definitely going to reach that very soon and I hope that it will be stable at that stage for some time though

You can practically hold for as long as u want. But for profit making purpose, u need to keep a check on price surge and selling them off at the right time.
