2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BTC security on: January 28, 2024, 08:01:52 AM
Hello all BTC hodlers here.

I have some queries about Btc security.

1. Those using Trezor, what additional security they can do to make sure they are safe apart from trezor PIN

2. It sounds weird but when one creates 12 keys in any btc wallet then either user knows his 12 words or this wallet knows these 12 words.
Is it it possible to hack this 12 word from btc wallet software.

ANY OTHER tips for making trezor safe.

Thanks

4  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Very Urgent about TREZOR transaction on: March 28, 2023, 04:22:55 PM
Thanks mate.

Actually first i transferred 0.03 to my exchange address which was successful. but it also created one more transfer within same transaction of BTC 1.06 to another address.

now my address in trezor, when checked in blockchain explorer showed 1.06 btc less so i got worried. but when i checked my trezor balance then i had full amount there.

now to check again i tried to exchange 0.01 btc to eth within trezor itself.

now again two transfers were created one with 0.01 and another with 1.06 btc.

i have got eth in my trezor and the btc balance is also showing correct in trezor but that first address where i had all btcs now showing 2 btc less in blockchain explorer.

but in trezor everything is showing as correct.

i am sure this is something about changing address as my friend omega mentioned above.

Thanks a million my friend.

i m feeling very relaxed. but could you tell me where can i read more about this function.

as i again sent 0.1 btc then again it created another transaction with BTC 1.06

its new address in same transaction.

one 0.03 going to my binance account and one BTC to new address.

7  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Very Urgent about TREZOR transaction on: March 28, 2023, 03:43:03 PM
Hello All Friends,

I have BTCs in my Trezor Wallet,

Today i first checked if i am able to send btc to exchange successfully or not.

I sent 0.03 BTC to my binance address. This went smoothly. but to my shock there was one more transaction created along with this transaction with BTC 1.06 going to another address.

now when i check my BTC address on blockchain then it showed 1 BTC less but when i check my balance in Trezor then its shows full balance.

how is it possible.

please help me in understanding it. though i have asked the same in trezor forum too.

12  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best Wallet Features on: October 16, 2020, 09:57:45 AM
Hello Mocacinno,

what do you mean by HD wallet. thanks for all the inputs.

When it comes to features:
  • it has to be a HD wallet: i don't want to make backups of my wallet file every couple of days
  • it has to be encrypted
  • native segwit
  • coin control features: i have to be able to pick the unspent outputs i want to use as an input
  • tx control features: i want to define the change address, or let the wallet derive a change address for me, i want full control over the fee (i want to set the exact amount of sat/vbyte and have the wallet make a couple of suggestions aswell), i want to be able to create unsigned transactions or sign unsigned transaction i constructed outside of the wallet
  • i want to be able to sign messages
  • the wallet has to be open source, signature has to be available
  • i have to be able to build the wallet on *nix

There are more features, but i probably wouldn't even want to use a wallet that doesn't offer above features as a bare minimum.

The UX, i don't care about... I use core from the command line, and electrum aswell... Sure, a gui is nice sometimes, and if you want to create a wallet that's newbie-friendly you really need one... But if you create a wallet for older users, i wouldn't worry about the ux all that much (at least, that's my personal feeling, i know a lot of old-timers that DO care about UI/UX)

Hello friend,

please tell what do you mean by SPV, RBF. thanks.

I'd add to @mocacinno pretty good list:
* [very important] support top hardware wallets (at least Ledger and Trezor)
* [important] the seed should work with other wallets too
* [important] it should be SPV since most users don't have the patience to download the blockchain
* [less important] allow RBF easily
* [less important] show the amount also in fiat (at least USD) <- I find this very useful for newbies that could get confused about how much money they send

The discussion on UI can be wide, but I don't want to write so much. I'd modify this on that on Electrum's UI and behavior (I'd go back to the old handling of SpendFrom, I'd default to BTC not mBTC, ...) and I'd add an option for simpler view for newbies.
All in all I do like Electrum for PC, but mostly the older version. So I'd start with that, I'd change a little here and there and I'll try to find ways to make it less confusing for starters.

Hello All,

As there are very good wallets already in the market like Trust Wallet, Exodus etc.  I want to know there two things from the user's experience

1: What features you want to see in a wallet which is not in other ones
2: How User Interface or User's experience can be improved in this wallet.

You all are requested to put your great thoughtful inputs again.

Thanks in advance to everyone who contributes here.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : How to survive token price on launching on: October 01, 2020, 01:05:32 PM
Thanks to both of you. Yes it mainly depends on the team's allocations and locking of supply.
also what a new Dex can offer to new listings that makes them apart from other dexes.
 hope to hear more solutions.

Hello all friends,

Thanks to all who always reply and try to put their points to make things better in this crypto place.

Today i request you all to give your inputs on
what features should be there in a DEX so that the price of a token does not crash on day of launching and how it can sustain momentum.

thanks

New very informative Article from WePower

Yes they are working on increasing the utility of the token. also very good growth is happebing behind. soon all most auctiosn will start getting completed and a continuous donation to its holders. those who are accumulating at this price is really a steal bargain. though i add but its little quantity. i wish i could have more money as once dontaion starts then it will graually keep building month after month.

What about the WPR token? Wepower has some interesting updates about the progress of the project, but today the WPR tokens are still falling and sleeping. Does Wepower have a Buyback program, token burning or something like that to increase the token value?

If you are referring to the price of WPR token, the team doesn't control it, it is up to the market. There is no buyback program or any token burning at this point. If there is news about it, someone will share it here. The team is also working on increasing the utility of the WPR token and as stated by Nick in the AMA they will be sharing more details by the end of this year.

First WePower has donation Pool and it will be started once next 2 auctions are done and by nick's comment in last AMA, we are looking for 3-4 auctions to be completed very soon so it will definitely add great value to token holders. as there are 21 projects worth 1GW on the WePower's Platform so token holder will keep getting donations on constant basis.

from the Last AMA

Q Since the name Cleanco has already been mentioned, maybe the Wepower team would mention the potential of working with them.  Does the cooperation include only newly built power plants or also the existing ones?

Ans: We are leaving the disclosure of nature of our cooperation to them at the time when they will be ready to do that

my comment : CleanCo is big friends and when its realeased then it will very bullish

and about increasing the utility of the token, nick said:

"there are other use cases in development with Retailers and we will happily announce them once they are fully worked out."

so they are already working on the utility too and when everything go in full force then nothing can stop WePower and its price from going up and up.

WePower is really giving a great solution that too with the real use case of Blockchain Technology. great future lies for all holders.
