A lot of anon coins focusing on keeping transactions secret, those coins are really a dime a dozen and boring now. Focus on politics, freedom of speech, forcing ethics on predatory government's etc. That is what crypto should be about. ~ As for algorhythm, there will be an abrupt focus on useful algorhythm once the mainstream gets more fully involved. If you can figure out how to make the computer do something beside wasting electricity you will have a steep advantage. Maybe copy gridcoin or primecoin or one of the other useful algos, then throw in some ethical terrorist politics and very high standards regarding open source, free speech, non violence etc that will make the coin attractive to progressive people. This is a short announcement on behalf of me, Meeh and a couple of friends who would like to work on the AnonCoin project. TLDR;Meeh and some other developers have started active development on Anoncoin. A new release expected in December. Hopefully, we can also manage to bring the Anoncoin Reddit back to life, it's a good place for new people to learn about the project. A new website is also being worked on. All of this is suggestions and ideas. We want to hear from everyone with an interest in Anoncoin what they would like to see. We really want to see this project succeed and believe there is a huge potential, especially at this time with Bitcoin making new ATHs over and over and media is writing about cryptocurrencies constantly. Goals.In the coming 2 months, we would like to update the current codebase. We are planning to use the Actor Framework. The actor model has advantages with simpler scalability and concurrency. The goal is to have a new release ready in December. For 2018 we have big plans that we would like to discuss with the community. We would like a new codebase, possibly based on CryptoNote instead of ZeroCoin. We would also like a more egalitarian PoW mining algorithm. We will write in more detail about development goals in a roadmap soon, but it would be really good to hear what people think first. PS: it is possible to flash most android phone with a real linux system  tough normal users wont do that. What? Seriously? Link, pretty please? It differs from phone to phone. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.phpHopfully it would give you an start. Anyway if you got root, why not download one of those Linux installers? It works like an image file you boot up, and can communicate with it over a VNC client. It was how I did it with my Nexus some months ago, but hopefully it's better solutions out there now Take a search |

Fun part, I hired Gnosis away from ZC for 1BTC for about 3hours (Yes, he is so dedicated that I had to do that  ), so blame me for a 3h later release But if my math is correct it might been worth it. What did you make him do? Also, could ANON implement the mini-blockchain of XCN? It's really neat feature. In compartment to me, Gnosis has a degree in math. So I needed to confirm some math in my soon to hopefully (If theory is bulletproof) be released "CPIP-1 (Coin Protocol Improvement Proposal)" which would probably make our zerocoin implementation look like an entertainment tool in comparison. Specially if this (as I try to make it) won't require coins to hardfork, and would also create anonymity, and hopefully give answer on a trustless decentralized exchange. It's no point in asking for more details before I on my own tell you more about it, I keep my cards away from copycats. Please don't misread me. This is yet only a idea/theory of mine, and we will implement zerocoin as planned regardless of this CPIP-1. Wrt XCN, haven't seen it but will now. Thanks for the tip. |

Do you ever sleep Meeh? The ANC team rules!!! Good question really hehe.. Well, I've been a "bit" over-stressed with my dayjob tasks the past week, moving BB metric system before my SSD says 0b left, writing some of the big ANC change, getting more known with the internal logic of I2P since we're embedding it as well, and blog, and mail, etc... So I've jumped over sleep for a night here and there the past week to get time to make urgent tasks both at ANC and I2P. drinking however waaaay to much energy drinks. And of course now when heading to bed, I think maybe I found a start on a trustless decentralized exchange.. wee.. anyway writing notes now and will discuss with Gnosis or Orignal for help with checking my math, and if my idea is possible.. Just say I've borrowed some fundamentals in ZC. Since I've been awake a while now, I probably done something wrong.. But with luck maybe it was something... If so I'll get back with awesome news haha Night Night! Also, I hope (I should ) get time to patch insight as a new blockexplorer for ANC within the week. Did some local tests earlier today too. |

so what about the Logo now? Is the one on the wiki the official one now?
If so I will request changing them on coinmarketcap and cryptmarketcap.
I also requested a listing of ANC on bittrex and asked bitinfocharts.com for a listing too.
Another question, what about the Android wallet? I would know 2 people who made Wallets for Coins... should I contact them or is the wallet already in the works?

Can someone help me with this issue I got? I use OpenSuse and Ubuntu. And the latest builds tell me this: "error while loading shared libraries: libboost_system.so.1.46.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory " I'm pretty sure it's not the problem of the build. And I can't even find the path to this shared lib. Got them installed though I would need to change the library path to get this issue solved sudo /sbin/ldconfig -v //didn'twork either /anoncoind: /lib64/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by ./anoncoind)

Question 1 : Why would these old versions be required? Question 2 : So... how do I link these files so anoncoind can find'em? Question 3 : Does anybody have the same issues? I experienced it with Ubuntu&Suse I know there's something with "LD_LIBRARY_PATH" but well, if anybody has a quick response it might help me. Update: So it's not finding the old version, because I don't have the old files it seems... It was build dynamically (ubuntu packages will make it launch). I'm currently building a static linux toolchain where this will be solved I'll get back with updates when static is in place! |

Ongoing discussion about new patch for Anoncoin. You now got the chance to be a part of how this patch is going to be. Please join us at #anoncoin @ freeenode, I2P or via https://irc.nordcloud.no (SSL only) . Note that we got a Relay bot, which will relay yours and other peoples messages from network to network, so even if you join on I2P, both people from freenode and the SSL server will read your messages, and the other way around! We currently discuss a final decision on the mining problem, and some other issues we would like to look on. |
