starting to get a lot of messages from https://populousnet.com now, maybe they're scared, I hope so:

"if we get copyright notice,our web team will change design.we are 100% sure you are part of populous.co.we are not scam ico like you.we are open source.we are hard working team.our coin will go top.close your website"   

I finally got a response from the scammers at https://populousnet.com saying they are going to get their shit coin listed on some other exchanges so I can sell mine if I want.  I told them I'd be happy to sell them my fake PPT right now for the BTC I paid for it, I don't want to get involved with some other crappy exchange run by incompetents

CryptoDao.com had agreed to list PPT (ETH based token) from Populous Platform, populous.co, which they did but then they were subsequently contacted by scammers posing as Populous who instructed them to switch the listing to a script coin also called PPT from populousnet.com, instructions they promptly followed without even checking who the email came from or double checking with Populous Platform.

If you got robbed buying PPT on CryptoDao.com please report them asap: http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

It could be seen from the github repo that the PPT coin was just a copy of Novacoin https://github.com/novacoin-project.  The scam coin repo, which was created same day the scam was perpetrated, has already been removed by github admin as result of my complaint: https://github.com/populousnet

I have been in touch with CryptoDao but they haven't been very helpful.  They wrote:

"Its buyer responsiblity, what they are buying. its not our responsiblity. We just provide platform for buy/sell"

"How you can judge if any coin are fake?
check that PPT website, there wallet and github source code even blockexplorer all are work in order, there are even many buyer and seller of that PPT, but we have delisted it because of too much conflicts."

"There are many coin in same name with same ticker. If you search you will find many.
And how you can guaranty PPT(ETH Token) is also genuine, they have issued token 3 times, which directly proves of scam activity."

"We do not got scammed.
We can give you one nice suggestion. If you want to make money, create 1 new branded coin , we will list it here free for you.
But your team need to be genuine."

They're also telling me to download the populous-qt wallet from the scam site and execute it so I can receive the PPT I bought before they remove my PPT wallet from their site!

"On our trade platform NON eth PPT was on trade on that time. Whatever PPT balance you got, you can withdraw to non eth PPT wallet,
as PPT wallet will be removed tomorrow."
