21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX [ICO] end of June: making Blockchain assets spendable on: September 03, 2017, 11:52:09 AM
I have been holding for some time now, still very optimistic about this token.  I think you just need to be patient and when the app comes out of beta lots of people will flood into TenX.

HODL!

There was some sort of news about visa cards and then TenX went quiet.  Anyone know whats going on ?

Looks like Visa are not sending new XAPO cards (don't know exactly what a XAPO debit card is!?) out to non european places, but if you live in Europe and one has been issued to you then it will still work in other countries.  Not sure how this will affect TenX?

Would be good if you guys get added to CoinMarketCap Smiley
Hello. Coinmarketcap shows only tokens which trading volume is over $10K per day.
Plenty of tokens with less than $10k 24h volume on CoinMarketCap. Pretty sure you can get listed there by just filling their form.
Could you name at least one? Smiley

Here you can see the list of recently added tokens on CoinMarketCap:
https://coinmarketcap.com/new/

This token, added 7 days ago, never had more than $2700 volume:
https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/smoke/
This is a requirement we face with when filling out the request form. So you need to try to get your token listed there to make sure... Wink

They obviously lied on the application, guess coinmarketcap don't check everything manually
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum without miners? What do you think? on: August 24, 2017, 09:35:30 AM
In just a few weeks time the Metropolis hard fork is being activated on Ethereum, this will start the process of steadily increasing the difficulty on Ethereum until next year some time when the proof of stake algo goes live effectively forcing the miners out.  The update also includes "Zero Knowledge Proofs" which is what ZCash uses to keep their transactions anonymous, so Ethereum will gain these benefits also.

So in short, miners are already being phased off from Ethereum for the long term, but in the short term I think the price will go up soon Smiley

Im just waiting for the COMIT network to hit, I think this thing will moon if they can make a success of that.  First live release is suppose to be by end of Q4 this year, so not long to wait.  Im on the waiting list for a card as well, what should I buy first  Grin
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash take over Ethereum? on: August 18, 2017, 01:52:03 PM
It just become more profitable to mine Bitcoin Cash.... 2% more at time of writing!

Really interested to see what kind of price it will fetch, with so few tokens it should be pretty good  Smiley  Also if it does multiply over time it could be a real earner
The formula here is to increase the demand because this is a low supply project, I have not read an announcement
yet if the unsold supply with be burn because usually that will be the last action.

I don't think there is an unsold supply, the tokens were created based on funds raised from the ICO.  So they didn't exist until we bought them basically, and I dont think they are making any more.

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Las Vegas coin (VGS) *RARE!!* ONLY 223,00 coins!! 75% POS, & POW mine! on: August 12, 2017, 08:36:17 AM
Hey guys, just came across VGS!  Looks like a very interesting project I want to be part of, what is the easiest way for me to get coins besides joining the mining pool?

Sorry for noob question,
Thanks

DAMN

I knew i shouldnt have bumped the Thread lol (nah..jks Wink )

Besides mining...i think you gotta go to Yobit Exchange...and buy Fly Coin. Then get it swapped with the Dev , for VGS.

Apart from that...VGS is still in its "infant" stages.

Once things have "matured" enough here... VGS will eventually be added to an Exchange...where u can purchase it. (AFTER the Fly Coin swap is completed etc, i presume ^^).

Only other thing i could think of...is to make an Offer on this thread to buy some. And maybe a "bag holder" will pm u if interested ^^

You really shouldn't have bumped  Grin  Have you seen the price of Flycoin today, damn...  Looks like I will mine some  Cool

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] FLUENCE – Decentralized encrypted data storage on: August 10, 2017, 10:51:38 AM
What does this offer that Sia does not ?

Sia, like Storj are low-level protocols for decentralized storage of files. Fluence is focused on structured data. Fluence implements a decentralized database that allows to execute queries and share access.

Thanks for the clarification  Smiley

39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: July 31, 2017, 01:17:30 PM
I think the "Internet Of Things" (IOT) will have a really big role to play in all this.  Things that require physical coinage can be converted to use digital currencies.  Such as a bluetooth or internet activated vending machine for instance, you could vend the product from an app on your phone and pay in digital currency.  There is however one big thing that holds bitcoin down, and thats the transaction fees.  I don't think Bitcoin will ever see mass adoption for micro payments because of this.

I know this will be really unpopular in this forum BUT... I think that IOTA (if it delivers on all of it promises) will be far superior to bitcoin in the long run for 3 important reasons.

1) FREE transactions - yes you read right, this is not a typo... with no fees to pay you can buy very small things such as a drink or a sandwich which you cannot do very well with bitcoin unless you like overpaying of course.
2) Near infinite scaling of transactions per second with "Tangle" - the IOTA network does not use blockchain, but something instead called Tangle which scales to the demand it has on its network at the time.  So in a nutshell, the more transactions going through the network at the time, the more transactions the network will be able to handle.  The only limitation here is the speed of bandwidth!  This thing will handle millions of transactions per second
3) IOT devices will all support IOTA out the box - so basically our biggest hope of getting true mass adoption for digital currencies has already chosen its currency, this doesn't mean to say you couldn't make a program to accept bitcoin but it would be so much easier to just use their currency.

Not sure if this means the price of IOTA will go up or down, I am not trying to pump the coin.  I just think that technically this technology is best placed for the masses over bitcoin.  But as with all new technologies it needs to be fully tested first before anyone can have any real confidence in it.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCC market value on: July 28, 2017, 03:14:14 PM
BCC = insta dump.  I personally think it only exists to manipulate the price of BTC.  Realistically the coin no chance of survival at least in the beginning, however like some have said here I think investors will buy it when it hits rock bottom as a gamble.
