Locking withdrawal address could be dangerous if you lose access
to the withdrawal address.
Write down the private key for your Bitfinex withdrawal address and store it where you have stored backups from all your other private keys? Just a thought. Smiley
262  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Kraken Now Open for Germany on: June 08, 2017, 11:28:53 PM

Deposit (fiat)       not possible with tier 2 for Germans

         ?

I was the biggest holder of all coin supply when Sci-Fi exchange went away.

Who do I contact to get my coins back or are the people behind this untrustworthy scammers?

If the guys behind it are legit then they would of emailed me and still have the coins tucked away.

Waiting.
You could contact dreamwatcher, but not sure if anyone got anything out of the exchange... When I remember correctly they said something like: hack, no backup, no way to proof claims, mumble, mumble - but I could be wrong.

266  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the price of the bitcoin at the end of 2017? on: May 22, 2017, 05:53:01 PM
~ 6158.84 USD @finex Cool

Three times more then now, are you sure? This is not possible to happen in next 6 and a half months, in some time next year maybe, but even for that to happen possibility is 5 %?
Around 2 500 dollars for 1 bitcoin is my prediction, not even that, if we get to 2 300 and stay there it would be also great.
For sure I'm not sure, this is a speculation contest. My number came out of a crystal ball with flat battery. Cheesy

Have some UFC kicking around... Even mined a few more blocks some time last year... then turned it off...

I guess there are now peers up. Does anyone have a recent blockchain? Anyway, would be happy to swap.
Downloading the blockchain took me less than an hour on a test machine some weeks ago. However, if you're really desperate, I can upload it to an mega.nz-account. Just let me know. Smiley

Edit: Some active nodes:
Code:
addnode=51.15.130.151:17009
addnode=64.71.72.56:17009

269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] "Cubits"(QBT) HI POS Coin v2.1.3-Starbuck UPDATED! on: May 21, 2017, 01:14:35 PM
My wallet is encrypted and I'd like to mint POS.  In v2.1.3.0-Starbuck there isn't an "unlock wallet for minting only" option in the settings menu like PPC has.  So the question is how do you unlock a wallet?  Thx.
I think you have to unlock the whole wallet.

Go to "Help" -> "Debug windows" -> "Console".

Use (type) the following command:
Code:
walletpassphrase yourpassword time_to_unlock_in_seconds

If your password is "secret" and you want to unlock the wallet "forever" (e.g. 999999 seconds):
Code:
walletpassphrase secret 999999

Before minting POS, you might check as well if your Cubits.conf contains the suggested setting:
Code:
reservebalance=1000000
splitthreshold=500
combinethreshold=100

You've found a new workaround, mining a block will send the transaction as well, great! Smiley For a different approach you might check this.

I see...but deleted soil folder and download again the blockchain ...dont solve for me

With gsoil_MMF_v1.4.4 all works fine
Sound's frustrating. Undecided Just to be sure, have you deleted the SOILsafe folder (as martymcfly2015 recommended) as well? This did the magic in my case.

Just as a note: I've running a node since years (?). If someone is out of nodes, feel free to connect.

Code:
addnode=scifi.bounceme.net

Btw. 14 peers atm. Smiley

How much time set swap limit: 1, 3 or 6 months?
I would vote for six months. Sounds fair for the folks not checking frequently this forum?

Here is a fresh version of our Gui Wallet aka SOILsafe.

Nice work, again! Smiley

I've played with SOILsafe, it synced in < 1h and the balance shows up, great! I've tried so send some SOIL but had no luck. node.log shows:
Code:
INFO [05-07|23:56:35] Submitted transaction                    fullhash=0xd6e6703c372d7e7ef8aef9245a5f31264ce20b27b35a09d4359fb0d16ccee06f recipient=0x...
etc.
However, it seems the transaction was not transmitted to the network for some reason. Even with the maximum fee. I've not seen any additional details in the log-file.

Any idea what went wrong? Undecided
...
Please make a backup of your Soil folder (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Soil) or at least of your keystore folder! Then delete the Soil folder (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Soil). Make a backup of the SOILsafe folder (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SOILsafe). Then delete the the SOILsafe folder. Start the new SOILsafe again. It should sync within minutes. Copy your backup of the keystore folder back to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Soil. You now shouldn't have anymore transaction problems.
Thank you, this worked fine. I'm now able to send SOIL. Smiley

Just a note: It looks like my (failed) transactions initiated before were now sent with the first successfull transaction as well. I have no clue how this magic works as I deleted the whole Soil and SOILsafe folders as suggested.

I've managed to get additional (new) transactions 'stuck', just by playing with the transaction fee slider. However, simply deleting the C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SOILsafe folder and initiating a new transaction with default fee seems to get them going. Cheesy
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sci-fi coin online status. on: May 08, 2017, 02:08:09 AM
As GPL, KED and QBT are performing well I was wondering why they should be merging into USFC. But it's just a percentage for promotion, okay. Smiley

DPZ, UFC and SPICE are not performing that good, so the idea is to transition these coins to USFC and focusing on the new coin.

Guess I got it. Smiley

Sounds interesting so far.

Just one thought, as I have my nodes on a Raspberry Pi and never got GPL running, please don't use that scrypt-jane algo for the new coin. I liked the UFC algo (blake?) as this was always efficent and easy to setup. But just a minor wish. Wink
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sci-fi coin online status. on: May 08, 2017, 12:28:16 AM
I want create new coin and consolidate some old sci-fi coins in it.
...
GPL, KED, QBT - up to 5-10% of its supply.
All swapped GPL, KED, QBT go to Cryptopia reward system and cryptoguru.tk Faucet.
...
This means the GPL, KED and QBT blockchain will die? How will the swap work exactly?

Thank you for your feedback! This is weird - I've modified the file internal/jsre/deps/web3.js but it has no effect. Any ideas?
...
[EDIT]
Seems it's also broken for expanse and ubiq. Maybe some web function.... I will leave it for now.
That's fine, thanks for having a look! Will keep it in mind. Smiley

THIS IS AN UNSTABLE VERSION - Please make at least a backup of you keystore folder before you test it and do not send much soil until we are all on the same version. Let us know if you have some issues or if it's working great for you.
...
Indeed, well done! Smiley

Here is some feedback. I've updated a test node without big trouble. 1.6.1 redownloaded the whole blockchain, as I have no clue about all the Ethereum versions - not sure if this is expected or not. The node is running stable since ~ 24h without any crashes. Smiley

It looks like
Code:
web3.fromWei(eth.getBalance(eth.accounts[0]), "soil")
eth.sendTransaction({value:web3.toWei(0.1, "soil"), from:eth.coinbase, to:"address"})
etc. don't work anymore, I had to replace "soil" with "ether" to get it working, e.g.
Code:
web3.fromWei(eth.getBalance(eth.accounts[0]), "ether")

So far so good!

Is the new version actually 100% stable, or is it causing any problems?
From my humble experience this might depend on your environment. For me it crashed randomly on a Raspberry Pi 3 with Arch Linux, but applying this patch helped. On the other hand it's stable on a different machine (x86 64bit) with Debian.

Is the linux installation straightforward?
Yes. I've done this on the Debian machine and it worked flawlessly:

Code:
// removed the old source
rm -r go-soil
// installed latest Go, check https://golang.org/dl/ for the right package
mkdir ~/bin
cd ~/bin
wget https://storage.googleapis.com/golang/go1.8.1.linux-amd64.tar.gz
tar -C /usr/local -xzf go1.8.1.linux-amd64.tar.gz
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/go/bin
cd ..
// installed go-soil
git clone https://github.com/martymcfly2015/go-soil.git
cd go-soil
make gsoil
cp build/bin/gsoil /usr/local/bin/
cd ..
// run gsoil as you prefer, e.g.
gsoil ~/soil.log 2>&1 &

Can I keep my chain http://178.62.133.174:9001/#/chain/ , and will it update automatically, or shall I better redownload the whole chain? That would take a while I guess.
Both ways worked for me. On a fresh install the download took less than a day.

To calculate the exact supply (see same page), I need to know any reward changes. The last one happened in or after block 2,000,100 - right? Is there a table somewhere with all the reward changes since genesis, to double check?
For all changes you might check the source here. The latest change is HardFork4, line 38.

Once I am on it, I want to directly configure the eth-net-intelligence client. Where is the current site? This https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1176709.msg18089773#msg18089773 or this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1176709.msg18089805#msg18089805 or where?  Perhaps someone make a shortlist with all related SOIL resources?
The first one worked for me.

Cheers! Smiley
