Ahoi! Da meine Wenigkeit aus reinem Spieltrieb ein, zwei Klondike K16 assemblieren lassen möchte und ich bis jetzt nur 20er Gebinde für Bitburner geordert habe... Möchte zufällig jemand 16 oder 32 Chips aus den ersten vier Batches abstoßen? Angebote (unterhalb 100% Marge  ) gerne per PM oder hier. Gruß, Dunkelheit667 |

Es ist mir in der jetzt recht kurzen Laufzeit zwei bis drei Mal passiert, daß ein Stick als ZOMBIE im cgminer angezeigt wurde:

Das ist wohl mit cgminer 3.2.1 unter Linux nicht unüblich. Versuch's mit der Version 3.1.1. |

Wer Chips gekauft hat, war sich im Klaren darüber, dass zumindest EUSt. zu zahlen ist. Irgendwelche Refinanzierungen über Samplechips und eBay-Auktionen sollten daher nicht zur Diskusion stehen. Die Samplechips sehe ich als Handwerkszeug für die Entwickler, als Kompensation für ihren Einsatz dürfen sie diese behalten können und damit machen was sie wollen... nachdem ihre Prototypen laufen. Also meinetwegen Minen oder an die Wand nageln. Oder seht Ihr das anders? |

I've notices a similar behavior. diff 1 gave me approx. 1% HW and diff 2... 2%. Edit: I think it's nothing to worry about. Even if I would agree with the statement headsink design is not optimal at all, due to the fact surface area matters.  |

malin, guess a missing driver. Which Linux kernel used? 'uname -a' will show your kernel version.
You might check if the driver file is present: /lib/modules/(kernel_version)/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/cp210x.ko

Alles über 340 MHs ist ein Anzeige'fehler'. Die Timing-Option ist zum fixen dieses 'Fehlers' gedacht.
Eure realen Hs könnt Ihr einfach mit U * (2 ^32) / 60 berechnen.
Was ist U? Hatte Sie nun 14h ohne Options Laufen... Eligius 12h-Schnitt sagt ziemlich genau 330MH/s U(tility): cgminer version 3.1.1 - Started: [2013-06-04 21:19:54]

A question for those of you running these block erupters on their raspberry pi:
Where in /dev/ do you find these? Is it /dev/ttyUSB1 or /dev/bus/usb/ or somewhere like that? Does some driver need to be installed for them to show up? I plan on trying to use bfgminer first with the -S all option.
They will show up as /dev/ttyUSBx. No need to install a driver, the USB2Serial driver is preinstalled on a rpi. I dont know if it would make a difference but do you have any recommendations for a USB hub that i could use with a raspberry pi? One that can power at least four of these block erupters. Please and thank you! Not sure if I should recommend my powered hub here. This might start some discussion as it's cheap and backfeeding my rpi (model B revision 2)... With other words you do not need to connect a µUSB power adapter to your rpi. Even if this should not be a problem with a model B revision 2, backfeed on your own risk. There is a list with recommended powered hubs: http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals#Powered_USB_HubsHowever, hashing here with a rpi, four Block Erupers, a WiFi dongle, a Lancelot and USB fan connected: Logilink UA0096. Not sure if it's available in the US, I'm located in Germany. Took a picture some days ago:  (without USB fan) Edit: I'm slow. |

Kann man so sehen... Aber da sie genauso viele shares machen wie ein Lancelot (hab 5 zum Vergleich mit drauf), kann ich wohl sagen, dass die Anzeige mit etwa 380 schon hinkommt. Vorher waren sie etwas gebremst, hab ich auch an der shares gemerkt. Minen alle mit diff 12. Hmmkay, lass' das mal zwei Tage laufen, um einen realistischen U-Wert zu sehen. Bekomme hier mit 'nem Lancelot einen U von ca. 5,5 und beim Block Erupter USB ca. 4,7 (diff 1). Aber ja, man sollte alles mal ausprobieren. Werde die Eruptoren auch mal ohne Timing starten und nach zwei Tagen vergleichen. |
