Step 1 towards success: not have a website that looks like this....

Sorry, the site now can not be accessed.

Balance still shows old REP in eth wallet, is there anything for holders to do to get the new REP?

Hopefully there was no deadline missed or something...
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] - X11. MasterNodes. Funding. Governance. Services. Devs on: June 12, 2018, 06:07:24 PM
Dear MUE Community,

We are getting ever closer to the release of our new codebase and proposal/governance system!

During the course of the next two weeks you will start to see some new changes pushed to the website. We have introduced new brand standards for MUE that will be reflected on the website in parallel with the new release of the QT wallet for consistency.

The website will also now have a section for submitting proposals, both on testnet and on mainnet. The mainnet section will not be active for a while but you'll be able to dig around the testnet section to see how it's going to work.

@bbobb and his team of developers have been running a local/LAN testnet of the new code base and proposal system for a few weeks. Upon release of the website, the core team will be given access to the code base in order to extend that testnet outside of it's localized environment for a 1-2 week internal testing period where we will do everything in our power to break the network.

Once we've completed this internal testing it will be time to open the network to a public testnet where the community will be asked to help make sure everything is working according to plan. It is not clear how long this public testing process will take but rest assured that once everything is operating as planned we will be launching the new codebase and proposal system on the mainnet for all to generate proposals.

We are grateful for the patience you have afforded us while we hash out the last few details of these major upgrades to the MUE ecosystem and look forward to testing some proposals with you soon.

Good to hear progress, but could you check to see if the login system for the staking portal is working?

I was not able to login last time I checked.

Thanks for the update! Glad to know that the MUE team is committed to protecting the integrity of the project as well as users funds. The level of transparency MUE has will guarantee its future success. Good job!

By the way, I would like to know where I could find a donation address either in BTC or MUE to help support the MUE project. As I'm building up my reserve funds each day with my income from cryptocurrencies, I want to use part of that to help support promising projects such as MUE.

Together, we could make MonetaryUnit one of the most popular cryptocurrencies in the world. Hopefully, it would become much more valuable in the future than what it is right now. Smiley

I, of course, wish the Blitz revival, but I do not understand why the team is silent? (this is such a manipulation Huh) Microsoft has already announced the release of Azure Blockchain Workbench, Blitz should integrate into it! but MS does not say a word!

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]ChronoLogic - Proof-of-Time token on Ethereum on: May 08, 2018, 05:53:23 PM
This token have a very low supply which makes it rare and scarce but the price wont reflect it, the devs are doing good when it come to update. coinmarketcap is not accurate you have to submit a correction for the total supply something like that.

If I am not mistaken, 4 million is the total supply of DAY. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Dev does not active at this thread for several days, so we do not know exactly the total supply of DAY currently. Who can contact with them and give accurate results?

Four Million is the maximum possible total supply for DAY tokens . Just remember there are factors that would affect the eventual figures but as the same attribute with time, no one really knows the exact total amount and when will timemints stop producing DAY token in nth decimal places.

Still, hard to ignore a <2m cap.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: May 07, 2018, 06:54:58 PM
I must admit that the transaction speed of Skycoin is really amazing.
I don't know how it is made possible, but it is really a good feature.
What I worried the most at this point is that Skycoin might never drop to a much lower price.

I'm a bit confused here as well.
What is the current ACTUAL state of Obelisk?
Is is -
1. Theoretical (POC)
2. Implemented on Testnet only (Release Candidate)
3. Implemented on Skycoin block chain (Production)
I'd appreciate an answer from OP, or a skycoin dev that knows this firsthand.
I ask bcs in the telegram channel, skycoin dev named Steve said that Obelisk is NOT implemented yet, and consensus is achieved by a masternode.
If #3 holds (contrary to what was said in telegram), why the masternode, and is the masternode open-sourced (link/source plz).
If #2 holds, we are basically completely centralized right now...? When is the Obelisk launch ETA and roadmap?
I would highly value elaboration on these points.
Chat screenshot:

1> There will be a giant marketing event for the consensus main-net launch towards the end of the year (assuming we hit time line on Skywire, but timeline may slip).

2> The consensus algorithm has already been implemented, benchmarked, three times. So its beyond theoretical and is in implementation.

The major delay for the Obelisk main net was that the CXO library needed to be finished first.

3> We will test the consensus algorithm on other blockchains on the platform and fix the bugs before deploying it on Skycoin

4> The larger exchanges, demanded that we add a development checkpoint system (like IOTA has), to prevent the exchanges from losing coins if there is a bug in the consensus implementation.

There will be an Obelisk mainnet launch event, but we may want to run the consensus algorithm in testing or sandbox for several months, to make sure there are not any bugs.

Right now, we has a lot of testing standards in place (wallet encryption was done 4 months ago, but is only making it into the next release), but we cannot release new features to production until the test suites are implemented and the dev branch has been under testing for at least a month. So even if feature is implemented, it can take ~4 months after implementation to make its way to the release branch.

The best compromise to get the consensus algorithm out the quickest possibl is
- release the full consensus implementation on a side chain (and also enable the CX scripting language at the same time, in same release)
- test it for 4 to 6 months
- then switch the Skycoin Main net onto the full Obelisk implementation (with a large marketing event and conference).

Someone complained that we are doing too many things
- This is a lie, we are actually only focused on one or two things at a time (right now, launching Skywire tesnet, antennas, the Skyminers)

Then we are doing one thing and finishing it, everyone starts asking "When are you going to do A, B, C, D, E, F and G".

I think the release schedule will be
- Skyminers
- Skywire
- Antennas / Hardware
- Hardware Wallet
- Obelisk Testnet? (second half of year?)
- CX (First half of next year?)
- etc...

CX may end up being higher priority than Obelisk (because of the partnerships we are signing and the immediate needs of coins launching on the platform).

So the release schedules and priorities are still being determined.

Most of the backend for Obelisk is extremely simple and is finished or can be finished extremely quickly.

The problem is that there are several frontend, HTML/GUI applications like the consensus network explorer and they require Angular 4.0 developers and we have a shortage of front end developers and they are all working on Skywire or other things right now.

We will release a docker simulation environment for obelisk and run some Fiber chains on it, to hold people over and then work on the front end applications after Skywire and prepare for the Obelisk mainnet launch event.

Exciting :-D
