On a quick note bitinstant closed shop do not know how long but they are closed. I feel lucky I was able to do a small purchase early today for 2.2 coins.

All of below was from clicking on the website.

https://www.bitinstant.com/

HEY, WHERE'D YOU GO?
WE'RE HERE,
WORKING HARD

Q. What's going on?
As many of you know, we recently re-launched our website. During this process we introduced many new features and changes to the way customers interact with our services. This process has been a learning experience, and you've provided a lot of great feedback on how things work and how they could work better. We value this input and the insights that it's led us to and we want to ensure that as we work, you, our customers, don't feel the growing pains associated with these improvements. For this reason, we've decided that the best way to proceed is to close shop and dedicate the entire team's efforts to creating the next generation of BitInstant.
In the short term, we recognize that this may cause our valued customers some inconvenience; it causes inconvenience for us too. In the long run, we are confident that this total commitment to what’s next is the right move. Rest assured that our entire team is working around the clock to bring you a new, improved version of BitInstant. In the meantime, customer service representatives will continue to be available to help you with transactions that have already been initiated.
Again, thank you for your patience during this process. Everyone at BitInstant is committed to the future of Bitcoin and we're doing everything we can to get back up and running with a service that streamlines transactions and makes it even easier to buy and sell bitcoins.

Q. How long will this take?
Well, we aren't sure. We won't be finished tomorrow, but we're working diligently to get this done. Bringing you what's next is a big enough job that literally everyone we have is working on it. As soon as we know, you'll know. In the meantime, we'll be updating this website with new information on the re-launch as frequently as we have news.

Q. What if I still have an issue?
We're still here to help! Customer service representatives are still manning their keyboards to help you resolve any outstanding issues you might have. If there's something that you need assistance with, please reach out to support@bitinstant.com, and we'll help as quickly as possible!

Q,
I want to know more!
We know you do, but please refrain from sending general inquiries to customer service so they can focus on helping people with transaction issues. If you're looking for more insight and sneak peeks under the hood, sign up for our newsletter above. As we continue to make progress, we'll send updates!

I tried to warn people in the Group 10 buy.  I hope no one lost too much or invested too much.

Cool......   Alright with all that said, let me get back on topic here.............   Canary, I just received the 40 from group 10 and I will test them as soon as possible.  Thanks for the quick ship buddy.  You are the man as always.  I will try to make a purchase for 10-15 on this group thread before midnight CST.  God Bless Brother.

I did coinbase as well at about 68 each.  Oh and to the guy that used coinbase and waiting on the funds to hit, just verify your account for Level 2 and you will get your coins instantly on Coinbase.  This is the new option that will allow trusted users to get coins fast...   Oh and guys, just a bit of advice.  When the price of coins gets low, buy them up.  You know if the price drops to 70 each then it has to eventually go back up.  Its a trend, it has done this before, then it goes up and drops again.  Just my 2 cents.  Even if you buy at 70 and drops to 50, buy more.... You know it is going to eventually hit over a 100 again.  Peace.
Now if it goes under 70 I would be a bit careful though. I loaded  at 80, 70, 65, and was well rewarded when I sold at 90. But I'm a stock/options trader and didn't wanted to keep large number of coins and invested in other stuff.

Same here buddy.  I get a little weary when it does drop below 70.  But we both know....... High Risk.....  High Reward.

Level 2 takes 30 days though.

Well you have to be a pretty frequent user.  If not, they will stall you.  I signed up in 30 seconds.

They aren't doing it out of goodwill. They've been losing money when I bought at 67 last week and will get it tomorrow. And they used bitinstant as a test dummy. But I do like coinbase.
you bought @67?? damn!!! did you use any tools to analyze the charts?
I've been thinking that I need to start hedging so that I can keep prices more predictable for USB sales regardless of USD/btc rate... to keep costs predictable for shipping, packing handling etc... any good platforms out there yet to trade in bitcoin/usd rate contracts?

I wish i would have saw timelimit earlier Sad my bitcoin funds clear Thursday.  Should have used bitinstant instead of coming from account.

Canary will you have a group 11 going after this one closes down? Smiley i really want to order off you because of your great rep.

Beware of bitinstant my friend.  Check their twitter log.  Myself and several others have been waiting days with them.  They are having major issues and I would be hesitant to deal with them.  I think someone should create a thread about it.

Troupster; 40; 30; 1JrrAA5fRtpD8FJqEdQFBunrVhgmbuonkb

I have sent 30, waiting on coinbase for the last 10, it says it should be approved within the hour.

I can't believe I have like no options to buy BTC anymore.

I am trying to get some converted as we speak.  Bitinstant has been unreliable for me today.  Long waits.
