1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: just for you to know on: September 06, 2018, 06:42:55 AM
come on, the very spirit of the pull/feature commit is to ask the dev team or others to provide an additional level of functionality, implying that the pull request is coming from a person taht does not have the time or the ability to do this themselves.  putting some code with that request is helpful and sometimes a good start, but the key word here is "request".  either way, github is a collaboration medium, and most of the code there is not just open source, but it can be forked and altered by others.  without checking, i am nearly 100% positive that bitcoin core is carrying the GNU/apache "copywriting" license, although there is a tiny chance that they have not chosen any license type, because from satoshi to today, this is intended to be transparent, open source and open to code changes from nearly anywhere, good code forks taking power over the old fork if it is good enough.

point is that no idea, no snippet of code, or concept of technology applied to the bitcoin core in any way, that is ever chased down, and had the "credit" strangled out of it with the fervor that you have in this case, and for no reason at all, wronged or not, its not worth it dude
2  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mining reward "stealing" attack on: September 06, 2018, 06:04:06 AM
Yeah, a lot better ways to invest the computational power, if you have it.  Best case scenario, besides taking a 51% hold, would be that the coins would appear in your wallet/wallets, but you're pretty much riding your own fork. All in all, it doesn't matter if you can fool some nodes or wallets out there, the key to dying or living is whether you and the exchanges are on the same ledger, because that's where the BTC becomes either fiat(for most people to spend) or becomes a tool for any real use, no one is going to just hand you cash for BTC, not many, and they will want the network to confirm first.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Share please tips to know project scam or not? on: June 02, 2018, 09:49:06 AM
Ultimately they can all start off as a legitimate business and turn into a scam.  The business owners/ICO partners often have good intentions and then when they are not getting the returns that they wanted, or can't cover the investment they made, those will a lot on the line or not great moral codes can bail with the peoples money.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do We Need To Change Bitcoin Logo ₿? on: May 29, 2018, 05:33:57 PM
This is the first I heard of anyone mentioning this at all.  It would be kinda pointless, is there anyone that has a desire to do this?
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinGrinch How our PROFIT SHARING POOL Works! on: May 29, 2018, 05:21:27 PM
It is against the rules to post links of this nature here.  Feel free to share methods, but do not try to harvest views for your youtube account.
6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Private key (privkey) hunters - unite! on: May 29, 2018, 05:13:03 PM
As a company, we obviously hit all aspects of BTC, and we have had a great amount of success with collision.  We run these for our investors and we have a strong set of rules about importing the funds, but we have seen more than 1000 BTC in wallets that we found using private key harvesting, so it is a viable method, although morality is a nice sidebar for the use of these techniques.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can FUD destroy bitcoin? on: April 16, 2018, 05:06:38 PM
sorry, some error there, that was my last post, internet glitch i guess, i was saying that it is the fear that creates the ups and downs that make the exchanges work, without that every coin would just go up and up and up
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: April 16, 2018, 05:00:11 PM
i actually cannot think of one person that is actively "against" it.  there are those that do not care, and there are those that do not know....but outright against it, i haven't run into any.  just because someone doesn't grab up bitcoin and live it like a religion is no reason to question them, it has some concerns for many people and there ae a bunch of thsoe that need guarantees when it comes to money and investments, well as much as anything can be guaranteed.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin skyrockets, how will it affect alt coin prices? on: September 21, 2017, 01:41:43 AM
not much at all.  bitcoin is a gateway to those coins through the exchanges, but there is also litecoin and doge most of the time, it is not that critical and even a higher price still allows for the deposit of bitcoin and use
