121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free ATH for everyone who has ETH! on: November 12, 2019, 03:03:52 PM
Do you have the knowledge of exactly when this will happen. I would like to know the authenticity of this fork news.

Based on the Athereum telegram group, there is no official date yet but as soon as they have the date, they will post it on their Announcement channel. This is my first time hearing about this project so I need to make some digging about the authenticity of this fork, for the mean time you can check on the useful links that I provided below.

122  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 11, 2019, 06:22:00 PM
Facebook is on of the most widely used social media platform here in my country so if Libra coin offers a lot of use through their platform aside from remittance then I might try it though I don't plan to invest on any money if ever Libra launch a public token sale because its a stable coin which does not offer good returns in the long run.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose which altcoin will you buy? on: November 11, 2019, 05:48:57 PM
I stop looking on any new ICO/IEO instead I look on coins that is available in the market with good liquidity and high trading volume, I use coinmarketcap or coingecko as reference for newly added coins and run my own research on the coin that caught my interest. I specifically look into a big partnership with the project and see if the working platform has a lot of users already.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: November 11, 2019, 05:06:24 PM
As I always say, altcoin season will eventually come but only those strong coin with real use-case will benefit when this happens. We have been flooded with a lot of unworthy coins so you must be very careful when buying on dips because it will cause you a big loss instead of maximizing your profit if you pick a shitty coin.
125  Other / Meta / Re: Open letter to bounty managers on: November 11, 2019, 04:30:33 PM
OP has a point though the post count does not for bounty manager to decide but for the project owners itself, unless the manager have strict rules regarding post count which he/she relay to the team owners. 10 post per week is good but I don't have any problems with 15 post either, as a bounty hunter we should also adjust to this kind of rules since we are getting rewarded for our work.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's next? on: November 11, 2019, 04:24:09 PM
I think the market will not go as predicted and we might not see any dump before halving as the whales cannot risk applying same pattern when the market is already aware of the forecast and might react differently if dump occurs.

I can't help but to agree with you and looking at the price movement of Bitcoin for couple of days, it seems that we have reached $8,700 resistance which I think is because of the buyers who are waiting for this moment to buy Bitcoin below $9,000 before the up-coming halving since the price is might skyrocket next year and I do not think that Bitcoin will go below $8,000.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: November 11, 2019, 03:33:53 PM
Offering big returns after the token sale is one of the marketing strategies from start-up projects to attract their investors that sometimes backfired the project owners because they could not keep thier promise. Being greedy is the main problem here because developers knew that investors are only looking for profits and do not care about the project itself that is why they keep doing this bad practices.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: November 11, 2019, 02:18:21 PM
Nowadays project owners are switching to IEO after the massive drop of ICO's during 2018 which makes them realize that crypto investor are now very doubtful on participating in any ICO due to its past history wherein most of the projects are scam or fraud so I think ICO projects will be even lower by 2020 but not dead yet.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Been Profitable for More Than 94% of its Existence on: November 11, 2019, 12:32:53 PM
I still feel some regrets though. Way back in 2010, somebody mentioned to me about Bitcoin and must invest some. I replied like "What the hell is Bitcoin?". I ignored that for so long until years later, well......you know how I feel.

You're not alone and I think most of us here feel the same, as for me I keep hearing about Bitcoin since 2010 too from item seller's of the online games I played before and since I don't know about it so I totally ignore that kind of payment until 2013 when I found this forum while digging some information about Bitcoin because a lot of my game buddies encourage me to use it for buying anything online and that's how my journey started in crypto-space. I must say that during the past years, Bitcoin provides me a very convenient way payment as well as some profits while holding it so its a really win-win situation for having Bitcoin.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have created a list of 30 social media based on blockchain or tokenized on: November 11, 2019, 11:49:36 AM
I never tried other social media platform that is based on blockchain or tokenized aside from Stemmit and didn't know that there are so many of them. No wonder why Facebook wants to tokenized their platform because they see a big potential of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology especially on rewarding system which makes their users be more active and satisfied on the platform. Thanks for the list OP, already bookmarked this one Wink
131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risks with using trading Signals on: November 11, 2019, 11:01:01 AM
I've been in various telegram group for a long time that providing free trading signals and all I can say it's not bad at all because I use their signals as a guide and do my own research before buying. It's risky but if you understand how it works then you can take this as an advantage and earn in a short-term trading.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think bounty participate in this year 2019? on: November 10, 2019, 06:19:46 PM
I've been doing bounties for a long time, I must say that 2018 - 2019 are the worst one because almost 90% of the altcoins campaigns are not worth my time which is why I start to do deep investigation about the project before I promote them to avoid not getting paid at the end of the campaign. For me it is good to join bounties that offers BTC or ETH as payment even if the value is small becase you will have an assurance that your time and effort is not wasted.
133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick Noob Question about Traders on: November 10, 2019, 05:14:29 PM
I have 1.8 btc in total from two different trading sites. Its stored there. On somedays the websites work and is fully operational. hustrade.com and waxcoins.com

Does it have to do with server?

I know I might be answerings this question for myself, but it never hurts to ask.

I'm not a trader but based on the previous post from other users, they are not familiar with the exchange that you mentioned which is likely possible that your Bitcoin is at risk and it seems that you did not get any notification from them regarding the down time of their site which is very unprofessional thing to do as an exchange. I recommend you to withdraw all your funds if ever you have access again, good luck!
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Make Bitcoin Drop To $5? on: November 10, 2019, 04:21:19 PM
There is a huge amount of money which is circulating in Bitcoin's market and I'm pretty sure that those whales will not let Bitcoin to be dump at $5, they will do everything with their power to keep the price going up for their own benefits. The only realistic event that can dump Bitcoin value is, if the government put a total ban on Bitcoin globally and anyone who found out using it will be jailed.
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is BTC now ~$8,780? Simple... on: November 10, 2019, 04:06:35 PM
So what else are we doing here if we cannot even help with the increase in value of bitcoin? We are just puppets of the miners?  Grin

Exactly! if we are depending on miners hash rate for the value of Bitcoin then it would be so easy to predict its price on the next coming months. I know that miners may somehow affect the price of Bitcoin but they don't have the full authority to dictate its price since large amount of Bitcoin is hold by whales and exchanges.
136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with USDT or BTC? on: November 10, 2019, 02:40:15 PM
I began to think that holding USDT is a very good thing when prices start to dump, for whatever condition USDT has a stable price, so a dump so deep, the price of assets that we hold will be stable.

This is the common practice of traders to minimize loss of their coin/token but I would not recommend holding USDT for a long time since its a stable coin which means you will not gain so much from it compare on holding Bitcoin or other potential altcoins. AFAIK only few people are trading with Bitcoin because they knew that Bitcoin is good for holding in the long run and majority of the traders goal is short-term trading only.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market currently being manipulated? on: November 08, 2019, 05:44:55 PM
It is possible to manipulate the market in crypto-space which is why we have people that we called whales but sometimes the market just react naturally to the crypto holders wants. I was thinking that the reason of sudden fall is maybe because of the up-coming Christmas season and this thing happens every year wherein a lot of people convert their crypto in fiat currency to buy something earlier before November ends because this is the right time where you could get Christmas gifts much cheaper.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How BIG will the crypto market be if China legit cryptos? on: November 08, 2019, 03:26:45 PM
Billion? Trillion?Quadrillion?
Either Trillion and Quadrillion is exaggerating figure.

For me Trillion is achievable since the marketcap ATH was $828 Billion and if China pull their banned about cryptocurrency then the marketcap will drastically increased because chinese are still one of big holders of crypto's even with their current situation so what more if the government in China make it legal on the country.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Moving Towards $9500 Mark on: November 08, 2019, 02:30:09 PM
My instinct tells me that the last bull run isn't over yet, just stalled out for the moment.

Let's trust your instinct this time because I'm also hoping that this sudden fall is just a signal to the start another price rally for Bitcoin and I'm pretty sure that a lot of crypto people is waiting for this moment to buy Bitcoin at cheaper price to maximize their profits once Bitcoin go beyond its ATH, This is the perfect opportunity that they don't want to miss.
140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Forecast on: November 08, 2019, 02:05:07 PM
If this turns in back under $9,000 I wouldn't be surprise but it's going to be the signal to start buying again IMO.

Bitcoin is trading around $8,800 at the moment and I think you're right about buying it below $9,000 because there is a high possibility that it will bounce back to $10,000 or more in just a few days so I think its a good call to buy now if your goal is short-term and I'm very positive that this sudden dip is good opportunity.
