941  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~800 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: May 19, 2011, 05:49:42 AM
I'm using the latest poclbm miner.  Yes, as I stated in the very first message on this topic, I see several "warning: job finished, miner is idle" messages (the ratio is roughly 1:3 between these warnings and submitted shares).
Looks like that's the reason. PM me your IP, please.
Can you run ping -t deepbit.net in the console and check if there are any packet loss or lags ?
Also try mining on j1.deepbit.net instead deepbit.net and look it the problem is still there.
Ping was normal.  j1 still suffers the warnings.  One other tidbit-- Windows will not see all 3 of my cards unless I have crossfire enabled.  Could that be it?
Dummy plug them..
942  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Laptop for Sale 7 BTC on: May 19, 2011, 05:29:37 AM
I'm be interested if it uses a sata connector for the HDD..

Also, as the sources can't agree, could you download Speccy or similar to check the hardware? Again, really interested..

EDIT:
Could you check what it would cost to have it shipped to Sweden? Postal code 13233 Stockholm.
943  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: [Selling] Sapphire HD 4890 Vapor-X on: May 19, 2011, 12:02:09 AM
Hmm.. these cards eat 190W by default and push 100Mhash..
A 5850 eats 151W and pushes 260 Mhash.. and can be overclocked to 420 Mhash..

Sorry, can't see how these are good for mining..
944  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Selling WoW Account on: May 18, 2011, 11:58:29 PM
Not that I'm interested but as I was thinking of selling my account soon I'd say that it would be better to post some pictures and list trade skills..
945  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why are 5850 so rare? on: May 18, 2011, 11:27:52 PM
It's the best card in terms of MH/$, but it seems to be super rare. any idea why? I can't imagine all of them being bought by miners.

As it's also one of the best $/performance cards they are attractive. Also, as Sapphire advertised their 'remake' of the 5850 it got more attention..
946  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing: btcsurf.com in soft launch on: May 18, 2011, 08:49:09 PM
Soo.. (@ #3), the credits can only be spent on your site to buy page views. There is no benefit of sitting and viewing 500 of them unless you plan to advertise?
i.e. you can't use this to get actual BTC..
947  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mt Gox Issues? on: May 18, 2011, 08:34:42 PM
I get it in firefox-.- always worked before..
948  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing: btcsurf.com in soft launch on: May 18, 2011, 07:58:58 PM
Ok, I registered but I'm pretty clueless about a few things and hope that you could answer them..

1) I have to register a website, which will give other people credits for visiting.. Where does that money come from, do I have to pay people to be able to get some?
2) I think you wrote that I wasn't allowed to have other ads on my dummy website, why would that matter?
3) How many credits is 1 BTC? If I'm browsing for 0.8 credit per 12sec it would be nice to know..

949  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Swepool.net] Pay-per-share, LP, worker account, Lowest PPS fee! on: May 18, 2011, 06:29:10 PM
I get an HTTP error 500 when I try to cashout ..
It's a trap! =P
950  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: GPU's Can't Stop Mining? on: May 18, 2011, 06:01:23 PM
I get that from time to time and I think it's because I use 7 year old hardware =P
Though it sometimes gives a bluescreen about Ati2Vag stopped working/got into a loop which also occurs if I push the GPU too high or if I mine on the CPU at the same time as the GPU..
951  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Selling WoW Accounts for bitcoins on: May 18, 2011, 05:46:56 PM
It's sad that wow accounts won't see for a lot anymore.. was thinking about selling my with 2 level 85 and 4 80+ with a lot of rare items/titles.. probably wont get more then 4BTC for it, after like 4 years of subscription-.-
952  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Browser Bitcoin Miner (No setup, no download, no configuration) on: May 18, 2011, 02:44:14 PM
I don't know about yous but this seems wrong for a single 5850..

But I have to ask, you say it's PPS and while the page only takes 330Mhash to prevent lag the payout amount should go up after 5 min.. Or maybe I've mistaken it for a profit counter in which case you should add one..
953  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: WTS Just about any product you can find on Newegg.com for BTC!!! on: May 17, 2011, 09:58:08 PM
As I'm not too familiar with the trading laws, could trades like these be sent to Sweden without any extra tax?
For example a 5850 is 140$ on newegg while it's 210$+ in stores here, would this be cheaper?
954  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Making a bitcoin mining rig on: May 17, 2011, 08:10:41 PM
Get a bigger PSU is you are getting more then one PSU..
955  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: FPGA mining for fun and profit on: May 17, 2011, 03:06:34 PM
Don't ruin bitcoin-.-

It wouldn't be too nice to have spent 1000$ when a 400$ chip will do it 40 times better-.-
956  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Swepool.net] Pay-per-share, LP, worker account, Lowest fee on planet! on: May 17, 2011, 03:03:54 PM
So now to the real question, is the smaller fee worth not being able to jump between PPS and Prop on Deepbit when the luck changes?
957  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best Coin/Buck rig V2 on: May 17, 2011, 02:52:28 PM
Hmm,
So i'll be looking for the extreme then...
Any recommendations on where I should buy this hardware?
Again : I'm from belgium...

Grtz

Your local hardware store /webshop? I can get them here for 110€ each but Sweden got high tax on high tax.. I think newegg had them for 140$ each (70-80€) so it would probably be around that price near you..
958  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best Coin/Buck rig V2 on: May 17, 2011, 01:37:42 PM
You should really go for the new Sapphire 5850 Extreme though.
-Smaller card = room for a 220 fan behind them.
-Better cooler, same as the 6XXX series use.
-Better voltage control for better overclocking.

I run my 5850 at;
1055 Core.
375 Memory.
1.25 V (or was it 2.25? w/e)
Pushing 420Mash/s..
959  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Swepool.net] Pay-per-share, LP, worker account, Lowest fee on planet! on: May 17, 2011, 01:32:03 PM
* (Really) INSTANT payout, you dont even have to wait for a block solve

That seems wrong. Transactions must be included in blocks to get confirmations. Don't they?

He might mean there's no need to wait for block confirmations for solved blocks you earned a bounty on. Only thing I could think of

Or maybe since it's PPS you get paid for the share before the block is solved?

Also, only 7.2% fee is ok I guess, but it would be better to write 7.8% rather then '2.2% less then Deepbit'.. might try it though..
960  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Building a Mining Rig? on: May 16, 2011, 08:28:21 PM
If you get a Sempron 145 (second cheapest) you could 'unlock' it to a dual core. That should be more then enough for any rig :3
