ccminerx16r-x16s

Shame those just cause errors and reboots on 6*1080ti rigs
something about memory, before ccminer throws a wobbly, and if not manually terminated will crash sys

Tried latest, and then master, same issue.

Works fine when those are deleted from the list.

Right after the params, like so

   Cody stuff

Thanks CLoco, That took my CeleronG2930  in one rig down to 40% from 80%

If you have a ZenCash addy I'll send you £1's worth for that useful post.  Cool

(and yes technically I'm trying to get rid of my old lame coins sorry Zen)

..summer fast approaching..

Waiting till April and the new Nvidia cards, 1090? whatever the overpriced high hashrate card is, grab a rig full and carry on.

Keep trying other algos, coins, but always come back to multimine and auto change to btc options, the % increase over the past two years is plenty 700+%
While other coins will assuredly rise this year, probably see an increase in security ones like Zcash or its derivatives. Chasing those is fine, but how much risk do you want.

Amassing btc is risk enough for me and is paying off incredibly well (despite the recent action) Take a 36month view and see what a 700% acclimation year on year is and just sit back and hold on to the edge of your seat.

I am beginning to understand why @millsys prunes his algo list so aggressively - it looks like my rigs just spent most of the last 3 hours mining the one and only coin that uses the timetravel algo on Zpool - Machinecoin - and got nothing to show for it. Granted, I might eventually get something when/if a block is found, as Zpool uses the proportional payout scheme, but time to find at the given hashrate is something like 10+ hours, and who knows what Machinecoin will be worth then.

As of now the "full" algo list I am using with NemosMiner 2.4.2 on Zpool is:

poly,hsr,xevan,skunk,tribus,c11,x11evo,phi,skein,equihash,sib,bitcore,x17,blakecoin,Nist5,MyriadGroestl,Lyra2RE2,neoscrypt,blake2s,lyra2z

And an even more heavily-pruned algo list I am testing out on two rigs is:

xevan,c11,tribus,phi,skein,equihash,x17,Nist5,Lyra2RE2,neoscrypt,blake2s,lyra2z

Algos that has gone ASIC, "scrypt", "myr-gr", "lbry", "keccak" and "skein"  - Pointless having any in a GPU mining list.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 18, 2018, 05:28:09 AM
Yah I may not mine with these for three years however I'm not trying to destroy them either.

I understand your point, it has some merit.

Counter to that, I mine to make money not save a circuit board for the grandkids or for the manufacturer to send me a thank you note for taking care of my capacitors.

The unmistakable constant rise in bitcoin over the long term means that anything you make now will be worth much more later.

You may be earning $100 a week, after 3 years you look back and in fact you were earning at "today's" prices $1200 a week.

Keeping fans under x% / low power to "prolong life" is the height of folly as far as I'm concerned.

The more btc you earn now the better, and a small increase in the hash rate will pay you massive dividends later on.

Replacing a fan with a $3ebay one is easy for anyone who mines. Should it die, put the old fan back on and send in for replacement.
If cards die get them cross shipped with replacements, hardly any downtime.

Sell when there is 6months warranty left, (evga's is transferable, making for increased resale value to gamers) and use the funds to buy the latest cards.

These are machines for working not pets that need looking after. Smiley

Something's a miss somewhere probably ashashpool and a lame hsr miner both.

6x1080ti's last night and my "totalUnpaid" has hardly moved in 10 hours, almost 90% less than yesturday

Edit - just checked again
I see thee has been a refresh and balances have changed, maybe the decline in the coins lately is having an effect on the clearing times??

In any case, I've just switched over to SMOS and one single coin for now, to keep my eye on exactly what I'm earning.

It means you were mining air for 4 hours

It happens, seen it on other pools too

Hope that illustrates the point of my past few posts  Cool
the profit you make is what's in your own hands, not displayed in a program or on a pool.
Take it easy out there.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 27, 2018, 02:33:31 PM
is displaying 'actual 24 hour avg profit data' as retrieved directly from each pool via their API.

Supposed to be I grant you, but here you are relying on AM, and the Pool stats.
Both of which can and have been woefully wrong many times.
From simply not updating the AM software, or a glitch, or api not refreshing I could go on...

Simplify things, just take the pool stats directly, check them against what you are getting in your wallet - job done.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 27, 2018, 01:03:21 PM

Check out comparison for 1080ti card on all pools using last 24 hour ACTUAL profit data : https://imgur.com/a/j9Ee5

Those that don't know any better or keep ignoring the comparison chart...

I wouldn't call a screenshot of Awesomeminers coin stats "Actual" profit data mate.

When I used AM, I found many discrepancies and only BTC in my wallet data is the metric I use for anything I would label "Actual"

I run identical rigs in parallel on different pools to gain my data, as should everyone intrested in profits.

@EfEks That was awesomeminer, more of a timevampire and winxpthrowback with lots of uneeded bells and whistles for a simple monitering and autoscript type program.

... above post
Fully agree with you MagicS, One simple readme with clear instructions would save a lot of issues, and other people just not bothering with the program.

Even a simple front end where you could enter the GPU's the Alogs you want and the pool/s you mine on, address details etc, would go a long way.

Really?, do you even read what you are writing  Grin

Prices change so quickly denoting in fiat is completely useless.

If you want to show how much you are making, should be making, other miners make:

Use 0.0123 BTC/hour, day, week etc.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 24, 2018, 02:05:06 PM

... open a command prompt window, cd to the bin folder where the miner is located (ie: Bin\NVIDIA-Alexis78Phi)
Hope this not too confusing.

Just an FYI CLoco,
Open the folder - type cmd in address bar - bask in awesomeness.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 20, 2018, 07:34:41 PM
I think I agree with you, but I can't bring myself to waste a couple of hours on Zpool, esp as I don't intend to mine there to reach a minpayout.
I not sure why shares found would affect your constant hashrate, but I do see that difficulty changes would.

I just found it weird for such a high discrepancy. You are probably entirely right, but having large %swings added to your benchmarks can't be ideal, or expected on consecutive runs of the same benchmark on 3x the same cards.

I'll have a play.

In any case I'm liking nemosminer so far, much better than the others I've tried.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 20, 2018, 07:00:06 PM

Every benchmark will be off by 1-2% easily, you are never going to get the card to hash the exact MH every single time.  That 1-2% variance will not impact you, this is just used for NemosMiner to determine the best algo to mine at the moment in time, it doesn't affect the actual hash rate during mining

Yes, thanks. I wondered if that' the expected variance.
But let's be clear here we are talking about a 12% difference  not a 2% difference. Sure Hash rate will be unaffected obviously, but will switching be unaffected?
surly the benchmarks are used to denote the switching preferences?

Anyone else reran the benchmarks several times after clearing them, and seen such % differences?
I may try another machine tomorrow, or the older version just to see.

6x1070ti rigs on 2.4.1:

At a loss as to why that's a reply to my Q millsys

I was asking why the same benchmark reran produces three different results.
I'm guessing it's down to the pool and not some markup in the maths if only one benchmark is run - to make it look better...what can I say I have a suspicious outlook

Just ran it again and got around 56.13 so I guess it settles down.

My point being if it was only run once, would that skew the profit profiles and have you mining the wrong algo?

Anyway just what I found, take it as you will.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: January 20, 2018, 06:11:16 PM
Substantial performance improvement on X17, Nist5, Skein, C11, Lyra2REv2!!!  30-40% across the board!!!

I was just trying this on a spare 3x1080ti machine and I accidently closed the benchmark after only one result  on x17

No problem, reset the benchmarks and started it again... noticed a rather large difference - is this the expected variance over consecutive benchmarks?

Stats ' X17 ' ->  59.90 MH after 481 sec
Stats ' X17 ' ->  54.38 MH after 481 sec
Stats ' X17 ' ->  53.70 MH after 481 sec

v 2.41-master

i managed to dial it in at 6.2Mh/s per watt compared to 2.1Mh/s on OEM settings

you can change currency to your local currency....

Thanks Nemo,
Yes currency sorted, was worried that using US for location would have repercussions for server pings etc,
but it's working fine so I'll leave it alone.

Looking forward to v2.4.1  Cool

Thanks guytechie,
That Question was from someone else, I'd always rebench if different miners were used or updated. Smiley

No my other Q was about currency and location - but meh just left it on usd and us

Thanks paskevic.
And yes I was only using ahash

Is it Ok to copy over the hashrates/benchmarks to several identical machines, I'm assuming it will be.

currently testing ver2.4 and can instantly see that reported active time of every algorithm is wrong. says 16s for each 240?sec benchmark. also "exited" time is wrong. edit: benchmarking stopped on phi as it did not have any stratum specified in it command line. sorry but this 2.4 ver should be labeled as alpha at best Smiley back to 2.3c beta.

Active time is def wrong, is that used for anything though?
As for phi, it worked fine for me
