First beta sent out to five seven beta testers earlier today. Waiting for their bashing/praise of the app and then we'll see what the future holds.  

First beta version will go out to people probably sometime tomorrow after 16:00, GMT+3. If you still want in, send an e-mail to the address in the previous post.

If you are interested in testing the app, please send an e-mail to *** mcxnow dot android at gmail dot com ***.

Please include what sort of device(s) you have and if you have any previous experience in beta testing software.

Only a handful of people will get access to the prototype. The app is not (yet) available on Google Play so you will receive the APK file and have to manually install it. If you don't know how to do that, do not bother applying for testing.

Those of you who are accepted for the testing phase will receive further instructions by e-mail.

I know, it's quite ugly for now.  

I'm working on an Android app for the mcxNOW altcoin exchange.

For now the app doesn't have the possibility to log in to your account and do trading. It's just for following the market.

Current features:

• Buy book
• Sell book

Almost done:

• User specified notifications on price drops/increases

On my to-do list:

• Logging in to your account
• To be able to do trading

Will be released to the public, or to those who have donated or to everyone on Google Play when considered stable enough. I'll figure it out when I'm sober. If you are waiting for the possibility to do actual trading through the app... you might have to wait for some time. I'm still learning some of the more advanced stuff Android lets you do and... Well, so far it seems difficult, if not improbable to implement trading on the exchange through an Android app. Partially because of limitations in Android, and partially how RealSolid has decided to engineer the mcxNOW API.

Suggestions on more features are always appreciated. Please, keep your suggestions to something realistic.

Disclaimer: All this was written under the influence of beverages containing a certain amount of alcohol ... The app DOES exist, but everything else should be taken with a grain of salt (preferably with a twist of lemon and a shot of tequila). Proof of the app will be posted later, mayhaps during the weekend.

Also, I'm not affiliated in any way with either mcxNOW (well, I do trade there occasionally) or RealSolid. I'm only using the API that mcxNOW provides. Otherwise this is entirely a personal project of mine.

So, I'm still a noob to Bitcointalk. I really haven't had a need to post anything here...

However, I'm doing some Bitcoin related development stuff and would like to bring it all to the people on this forum. We'll get back to that later.
