Altcoins are dying and some will be dead. Bitcoin murdered them and now I want to murder my self.

Have some patience. Alts always bounce back.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How cryptos affect your life? on: September 17, 2017, 04:09:54 PM
I'm always on Blockfolio, twitter, Reddit, and bitcointalk. You can trade 24/7. Cryptos never sleep. I stay up later to read more about cryptos. I spend half of my weekend to catch up on cryptos and research on the latest ICOs. What's your experience.

Me too. I learned so much about economics and technology, it's been life changing.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite Token? and why? on: September 17, 2017, 03:56:49 PM
Mine is Rivetz (RvT)

It has so much potential to become one of the profitable lead token.
Already accepted by some exchanges and wallets

What is yours?

Bitcoin. The only coin that never disappoints.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 0x on: September 17, 2017, 03:41:56 PM
Should i invest in this currency buy selling nem. NEM has supply of 9 Billion but 0x has only 500 million. Any suggestions?

Supply doesn't mean anything. Market cap does. Based on that, I can see 0x going up by a lot.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to buy these days? on: September 17, 2017, 03:21:05 PM
Bitcoin, waves and ethereum
Best coins for long term as all three of them will achieve outstanding price in future so do not miss the boat before its too late or else you will regret in future for not buying at a right time.

Why waves? It keeps going down. I sold mine already, won't buy again.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why many ico launch with ETH ? on: September 17, 2017, 03:18:16 PM
Many ICO launch payment gateway choice ETH. any other crypto coins why not use in ico payment gateway.

Because it's easy. It takes like 5 min to create a new token. What are they gonna do, actually develop something that has utility and value? Ha! Cheesy
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jesus Coin on: September 17, 2017, 03:16:42 PM
It's just a joke. Will probably go on to raise millions  Cheesy
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Coin Idea on: September 17, 2017, 03:15:26 PM
To be honest the coin you're talking about has no value. Where is the innovation? What is new? We don't need 16235123 different coins that all do the same thing.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is ICO and why every day new coin is there on: September 17, 2017, 03:14:01 PM
Hello,

I was wondering what ICO is ? and why every day there is new ICO coin thing is coming in the market claiming lot of things , lots of bonus , lots of coins etc .

I am still unable to understand what is going on .

if this will stay like this at the end of 2017 there will be thousands of ICO kind of things

Please help understanding this ?

Thank you

Most ICO make money. It's good early investment, but not all of them. Gotta pick and chose good ones.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Open Money break down the app store walls? on: September 17, 2017, 03:09:33 PM
Hey,

If you're an app developer like me, you know how frustrating it is to see Google and Apple taking a 30% cut of every sale you make!

If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have businesses, but they sure make us pay through the noses.

That's why this article on medium spoke to me.

The guys at Open Money are addressing a real problem that can make crypto explode into the mainstream world.

What do you think?

Can they pull it off?

Although i am not a developer. Really feel and relate to what you are feeling because i too have made something and put hours and hours just to have even points with people in my team who did not do sht to help with the project. It is just so frustrating.

That's why I really love the concept of open money. And i wish open money gains success. Because i see great potential. And i think they just might go and pull it off.

Wish i could get my hands on some coins.

Me too. When is this on exchanges?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty updates on: September 17, 2017, 03:07:50 PM
Hi, guys! Could you please provide a link a maybe share information on good  bounties I can participate with my newbie rank? I would be very thankful for that!

Most twitter bounties require no rank. My plan is to join some of them.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO & November 'possible' fork on: September 17, 2017, 03:06:25 PM
I think that's going to come and go without a hitch. Simply for the fact and everybody's focused on everything else and all this other fear based rumor mill stuff. Makes it impossible for anybody to focus on the important things while they're focused on things that aren't even real in the first place. Like this China ban that was nothing more than talk during the protocol assessments at the government.

Also what happened after bitcoin cash hard fork? Bitcoin came out ATH and stronger. Bitcoin never fails.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin, faster drop, incoming explosion? on: September 17, 2017, 03:04:35 PM
I can't see any new development from DOGE, that's the reason I sold all my doges. What's ATL ?

Me too. So many other coins now, I can't keep anything that is used for tipping and nothing else. I believe it will keep dropping.
16  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much $ is spent in mining Bitcoin per day? on: September 17, 2017, 03:01:44 PM
Is there ways to calculate it?

According to : https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

The Hashrate per second is 7,700,000 ~ 8,000,000 Terahash/second

With 12.5 Bitcoin/Block reward, 10 Minute Block Time , results 1800 BTC Mined/Day

Based on current price, around $6,500,000 ~ $7,000,000 in BTC is mined.

1) How could i calculate how much is spent in electricity / day?

2) Is the current Reward in Bitcoin - Electricity Price of mining = Positive profit?

Thanks

If you don't count the costs of hardware, yes that would be the profit. I'd say maybe it's half the reward, so $3-4m a day.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jcoin - cryptocurrency for Japanese Banks on: September 17, 2017, 02:59:56 PM
This is very interesting but it would be good to see how it will be distributed and will there be a limit of these coins or will they be inflationary just like fiat currency. If they are just mirror images of paper money it does not seem all that good to me, but if they are limited supply like Bitcoin then that would help to boost the local economy. If that were the case, I would want to purchase this for long term gains as well.

You think central banks will give up control of money printing rights? Ha!
