21  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Groupbuy] Jupiter KNCMiner (0.5 BTC shares) 12 sold! [CLOSED] !!! on: July 04, 2013, 03:43:36 PM
Just a quick update guys!
We checked all 12 miners in group buy 1, and they are showing as day 1 shipping.

So that is great news! Receiving all miners in one delivery saves us a lot of time setting up.
Day 1 also means our miners will be part of the first miners that leave KNC

woot woot
22  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Groupbuy] Jupiter KNCMiner (0.5 BTC shares) 12 sold! [CLOSED] !!! on: June 28, 2013, 01:51:21 PM

he is just pissed for not getting in earlier thats it

nevertheless ofcourse everybody has to make his own mind of which price is correct at the moment

he should then go and piss on those 2BTC per USB miners, unless the price of bitcoin skyrocket, i dont think they can ever see ROI.
23  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [RFP] Request for proposals: Avalon chip assembly into working miners. on: June 28, 2013, 01:44:46 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=220468.0 <------ if you got balls, their price quite nice thou Tongue

K16方案 每片主板上16芯片(主板+散热片+风扇)加工报价:788元/板(团内优惠价格699元/板)(请提供16片Avalon芯片)

translate
K16 assembly, 16 chips (mainboard, cooling, fan) plus labour charge : 788RMB (around USD128) supply your own avalon chip

they will use their chip 1st ( they ordered 600 of them ) if chip is spoiled during assembly they will replace them.

so far this is the best deal, but Tongue if u dare to deal with them
24  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: There is a market for PCI/PCIe-based ASIC boards on: June 28, 2013, 01:16:44 PM
USB

hot swappable
daisy chain
no slot limit (virtually)

PCIE
limited space, even with riser you will still need a good mouting and cooling solution, cheap solution normally end up more bulky cooler
whole machine have to shut-down to do maintenance, upgrade or troubleshooting
more point of failures

unless PCIE can provide higher efficiency if the mobo/cpu can assist/boost the performance vs running off USB. i dont think its worth it. remember we are dealing with cost vs profit, not buying designer bags just for looks and "cool" design.

look at the profit table, KnCminer is the highest now. if those haters not even happy with ROI of this machine then they should not even come in here, at least Custom Hardware section.

34  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to tell if powered risers are working on: June 23, 2013, 03:11:25 PM
its not recommended, but my method is to touch the plastic connection of the 24pin connector. if riser not doing their work it will get pretty hot.

if its working ok it should have no heat at all

a question about the IPO:

maybe add something about the situation were you would just stop mining because the costs are too high.

39  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Groupbuy] Jupiter KNCMiner (0.5 BTC shares) 12 sold! [CLOSED] !!! on: June 11, 2013, 12:45:19 PM
yeah for someone its yes, some say no.

for me if i have all the 12 machine sure no, i would rather join some pool with small % of fee, better luck pool smoother/stable income, and half of the work is solved by them ( i assume solo mine do need some local configuration which take times and who knows what will happen )
40  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Groupbuy] Jupiter KNCMiner (0.5 BTC shares) 12 sold! [CLOSED] !!! on: June 11, 2013, 12:27:00 PM
https://eclipsemc.com/ 0% fee.

2.78 TH/s sometime 6 block per day , sometime 1 block per day. 12 x 350Gh/s = 4.2TH/s so go figure.
