Love HIVE OS. Thanks.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: January 18, 2019, 11:42:42 AM
There is an alternative. So I'm sure you guys know there are a ton of die hard Electroneum fans out there (me being one of them) and they used to mine ETN back before it became ASIC friendly (me being one of them).
I bought a mining rig from a coworker for fairly cheap and bad timing, right after that they (the ETN DEV team) switched the blockchain back to ASIC friendly.

So one of use came up with a pool that mines other cryptonight coins that can still be profitably mined and sells it on an exchange and pays you out in ETN. He switches coins to keep the profitability up. Right now the focus is around cryptonight fast coins.

https://fastpool.thorshammer.cc/

So you could do this with other coins and algo's and still keep your GPU's mining. You just need someone to start a pool like that for your preferred algos and coins.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: F2Pool「魚池」🐟 on: December 22, 2018, 05:40:52 AM
This pool has been mining empty blocks on the Electroneum blockchain. I've been watching the ETN block explorer for a long time now and there were times when F2pool was dominating the network with 4mH and you could see 1000+ transactions waiting to be processed and F2pool mining empty blocks one after the other.

I don't know why anybody would support this pools bad behavior even for a small efficiency boost. Neng pian jiu pian?

Do we not have any moral values as miners now? I say turn your back to this pool and use another pool. If you are not even processing your own miner payout transactions then come on?!

freeetncentral.com plans on bringing back the paypal for ETN top ups 500, 1000 and 2000, don't know how long it will take for those to come back up though but there is going to be a fee. Right now it's testing out games for ETN (earning not enabled yet). So you play a game and the ad revenue stream earns you ETN. Is that what a faucet is?
Plus they are randomly buying members a $1 lotto ticket from electroneum universe https://electroneumuniverse.com/etn-lottery/

Not sure why you have a problem with the low Cryptopia withdrawal fee of 5 ETN? That's like less than 5 cents right now.

Anyways there are lots of exchanges trading ETN not listed on coinmarketcap if your real issue is region and Electroneum currently has many fiat pairings.

New exchange?
Electroneum is a good one to list as KYC is due at Dec 27th and looks like the iOS app will be released soon thereafter with cloud mining. 2.7 million wallets and climbing with agreements with mobile carriers in place representing 100's of millions of customers. Joytel MVNO trial is about to start, many fiat pairings, instant payment notifications, ecommerce plugins, etc..

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / F2pool-mining empty blocks on Electroneum on: November 01, 2018, 06:16:18 AM
This garbage/filth/criminal pool should be IP banned hard coded into every blockchain. They are criminal because I guarantee you when there is legislature written for blockchain in the future this activity will be 100% criminal. They are the only pool doing it and the other pool from China (Poolin) is only mining 10 transactions so they are actively acting to destroy the coin transactions. These pools are acting like inbred insane cockaroaches. IP BAN hardcode China miner pools in to all future blockchains, they will destroy your coin no matter how good your project is.

I don't mean to discourage you but how about we nation wide offer to tip in Electroneum. It will have to be in the less busy ones where the cashier can have time to ask what is that and how do you download it/use it.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: July 28, 2018, 07:58:09 AM
linux xmrig-nvidia 2.7 has just released.
Masari (cryptonote-fast) added
Please update HIVE OS.
Thank you.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 17, 2018, 03:12:26 AM
alll risers support 3.0 (x1). well if motherboard support only 2.0, than the riser will do 2.0 as well.

Holy shit that worked!

Above screenshot is from Asus PRIME Z270-A.

And a screenshot from HIVE OS after running gen3 for the last 20 minutes with no issues:

I have 6 rigs with those mobos, so hopefully they will take to gen3 fine as well.
I have the same mobo. I can't find a way to change to Gen 3. I tried in the tool menu of bios.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 14, 2018, 12:50:30 AM
Please clarify this in your description of the CLE-101

"Your GPU rigs can mine Ethash and CryptoNight V1 coins like Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Monero or Electroneum better simply by adding Acorn CLE-101 to the mix."

Electroneum and Monero are not using the same algo/variant. Electroneum just forked back to being asic friendly because they weren't getting enough gpu miners to keep transactions fast and nicehash renters were taking advantage of the low diff by renting massive amounts of hash when it was low and leaving when it was high after they drove it up high.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FCN] Fantomcoin development fund on: June 29, 2018, 01:31:07 PM
What if you resurrect this coin and make it merge mineable with Electroneum and pool operators agree to a 1% dev fee?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FCN] Fantomcoin. CN based, anonymous. Merge mine with BCN, XMR, QCN, duck. on: June 29, 2018, 01:01:39 PM
Can someone contact the developers and see if they can resurrect this coin to merge mine with Electroneum?
1.77 million accounts and growing it could piggyback on the mass adoption of ETN
I know of some pool owners that might be interested in helping them test to get it up and running.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 18, 2018, 01:19:42 PM
If this is real and we are now going to have FPGA testing/mining empty blocks and not reporting their stats coming out of China, it's going to make things more complicated.
We already have about 50 MH/S discrepancy between what the Electroneum blockchain explorer reports and the total hash power added up of all the reporting pools and someone is mining empty blocks. I'm thinking Bitmain and Genesis are prime suspects for not reporting their private pools but I don't see them mining empty blocks. I could see however China making FPGA's and testing them and mining empty blocks.
Well if we are really going to see small affordable FPGA's like this (if this is real), once the cat is out of the bag we are going to see a thousand counterfeits coming out of China.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Electroneum (ETN) Mining Pool - etn.OptimusBlue.com on: June 14, 2018, 08:55:25 PM
I just rented 112kh and pointed it at this pool and we got a block.
I'm going to do it again on the 21st if anyone wants to join me and take advantage. Pool owner is helpful and web page is very straightforward.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Merge Mining and ASIC Resistance on: June 13, 2018, 08:56:58 PM
Minergate used to let you merge mine Monero with Fantomcoin. I wonder if a pool could make that work with Electroneum?
Well I'm mining on a small pool when I get home from work every night etn.optimusblue.com
I'm planning on renting some hash power and point it there. Decentralization is important so if a number of us did that at the same time and we got that pool up in the 3 MH/s range we could be scoring some regular blocks instead of them all going to nanopool and spacepools.

Hmmm I told a bunch of people at work (more than 10). 1 guy I know for sure signed up (at least 1 week after me) and he's been mining for weeks and I'm still not. I got 2 guys from Telegram to sign up, one guy named Ezra and the other guy's telegram name I forget. I retweeted your tweets, tweeted 2 about your project myself. Can't figure out how to share that I shared it on facebook, there is no option to grab the link for that.

How do we get rid of the bad address and the AAAAAAAAAAAA thing when we type in miners command?
Has Los Angeles pool ever found a block? I'm not trying to be mean or insulting, I'm trying to figure out the hash power of the various pools and see if I'm just pissing in the wind mining in this pool.
