Looking at the YAC pools and the speeds listed there, I am pretty sure there is one, but those who do have it seem to be keeping it their secret. It is almost as bad as premining.
Would YOU give it our for free if YOU could make lots of money with it by not giving it out?

What kind of coin is this? How can a pool with more than 3mhs gets only orphans in more than 1 hour?
A pool has the same problems as a solo miner in this situation: Ultra-fast new blocks, barley time to catch up & hash. Also longer delay for a pool: First, pool has to notice from elacoind that there is a new block, then pool needs to pass this notice onto the miners. By then, new blocks are already there. I guess it cannot be avoided as long as blocks show up in <10s intervals. All depends only on good connections to other nodes so YOUR block gets accepted and you know about new blocks first. Hashing power only comes into play later on.

We should just relunch properly this coin.
No win binary, no config file, pool not working, that's just a joke
I guess any pool would be struggling with such peak load. And you cannot test before launch how this peak load will affect it...

If pool if reloading blocks, then yes total failure.

I'm on block ~2200. If the block chain is > 13xxx then I am screwed. Please please report your block length. 2202

Is there a split going on? Successfully mining using elacoind , currently at block 18xx, , node well connected, whereas the pool states something about being at block 13xxx?
Pool seems to have done a reset and is now at block 6xx , now catching up... Solo miners at an advantage? All pool shares now invalid?

Sure hope it works, and well. Might be a nice solution to these terrible coin launches and the incoming ASICpocalypse
And it would be a good extra point in making Freicoin unique, apart from story and philosophy behind it that other coins lag :-)

When more ASICs (that mine SHA2560) are released, FRC will be destroyed by MEGA MINING of FRC. Hang on to your precious FRC and be taxed on it with demurrage. I don't see that coming - if the algorithm is good, it will just increase difficulty accordingly getting block creation rate back to original rate within a short time.

Placing this in a thread where it just turned out that whatever you got may get lost any time might not be the strategically wisest move :-)

Someone is still mining the original only 51% attacked once chain. It just went up to 19270. My gamecoind also still sticks to it, though it reports lots of "orphan blocks" - right now at 19274.

Looks like the originator disappeared... I already noticed yesterday that it seems like the github fork of the sources was only a few hours before the release....
I still don't get how the gamecoind/gamecoin-qt gets into contact with the feathcoin(or whatever) blockchain to be in this situation in the first place - since they use different ports. Or somebody deliberately connected a feathercoin(or whatever) node to the gamecoin node network? And why does it say something about 3xxxxx blocks? That's litecoin, not feathercoin...

and this my current miner conf: @echo off START /LOW /B minerd_scrypt_jane_x64_ssse3.exe -a scrypt-jane -o 127.0.0.1:9777 -O xx:xx -------------------------------------------- somewhere an error? got rpc call time out error when i want to run miner.... thanks for help p2p miner conf from riku2015 is working Killa Hi Killa, the first thing I spot is that you use scrypt-jane, which is for YACoin. You need plain scrypt for Gamecoin. But beware, I thing I remember that the one who compiled minerd for YACoin mentioned that he only got scrypt-jane working for the windows version, so you might need to go for the regular minerd and find a win64 binary. Kind regards Mike

"logo" is in the latest client Main goal is monopoly money for slots machines.. Hi gamecoin, hm, I think you got it wrong... There's an icon that looks slotmachiney, but the Icon in the task bar is still the litecoin logo. And a little bit more prosa on the story and philosophy, at least for the web site ..? No..? ;-)

You're still the only one who cares.
Actually... no. Even though I have different reasons, I also agree with his reasons. We need a unique name. Also, we need a logo. And a story - what does "Gamecoin" (or whatever) tell us about the coin without a story or philosophy? Why were the parameters chosen the way they are? Look at Freicoin for example. They incorporate Gesell's ideas and are (supposedly(*)) an Occupy Wallstreet offspring. Now even though I don't share those ideas completely, THAT's a story and a philosophy and that's why I like Freicoin. (*) I think Occupy Wallstreet is way too heterogenous as to call it a product of Occupy Wallstreet, as I'm sure that only a small part of them was involved. Still nice story though :-) Kind regards Mike

What do I put for URL:PORT and USER:PASSWORD? A node and its port I'm guessing, no idea for the last two?
Depends on whether you solo-mine or pool-mine. When solo-mining URL is the IP+RPCPort of the machine where you have yacoin-qt running (e.g. 127.0.0.1 if its the same machine, default rpcport of yacoin is 8344). User=RPCUser and Password=rpcpassword that you specify in yacoin.conf When Pool-mining at e.g. yac.dontmine.me, url is for example http://yac.dontmine.me:8080/ , User is your Worker name, password is your worker password.

I found the error in the logs.. I have max connections at 1000, so I'm not sure what is happening, but I just restarted MySQL and the pools again and I'll keep an eye on the FRC log for these errors. Hi flound1129, works like a charm now, unfortunately for my hash rate solo mining Freicoin right now is quite impractical :-( Once the situation for Freicoin improves I'll gladly return, but switch to PPCoin or Bitcoin for now. Thanks! Mike

EDIT: Anyone selling lists of IPs of nodes to add? Working on setting up a public node with maxconnections=1024 that is non-mining (for better responsiveness) & ssd for faster I/O. When I succeed I'll post with IP for another -addnode those firewall-restricted people can use :-) Nice! that'll help a lot of people. Ok, node is up at 92.205.43.118 . Just add another -addnode 92.205.43.118 to your start parameters. Node is up to date with block chain and I have ~1024kbit upstream & low pings. I suggest connecting only once you are up to date with block chain to keep my uplink free for faster responsiveness for those already connected.

Try -maxconnections= , I don't know if that will over-ride the 8 limit for nodes without incoming or not. So try the experiment and let us know whether it does or not.
Won't help him - outgoing is always at 8, maxconnections controls incoming connections.
