181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Pushpool - Tech Support on: June 05, 2011, 01:27:16 AM
Do you have mysql or any other database engine running? It's mandatory, also, bitcoinD should be running prior to launching pushpool
182  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (640Ghash/s) on: June 03, 2011, 03:28:23 PM
How soon before long polling?
183  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best GPU for price on: June 01, 2011, 02:04:21 PM
The 5850 is a disappearing model. There was one cheap enough for me to buy, but it was sold, now i am left with such that are a tad bit more expensive.

I thought maybe getting the 6950, but it uses 200 watts for almost the same performance of 25 mhz clocked 5850(725 stock) with these settings

-k phatk DEVICE=0 VECTORS BFI_INT WORKSIZE=128 AGGRESSION=9 FASTLOOP=false = 290Mhash/s
184  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: [MINER] Phoenix - New efficient, fast, modular miner **BFI_INT support!** on: June 01, 2011, 02:00:26 PM
Is this a bug i experienced?

When using these arguments

Quote
-k phatk DEVICE=0 VECTORS BFI_INT WORKSIZE=128 AGGRESSION=6 FASTLOOP=false
Specifically aggression 6 i see some weird hopping between 293.60 Mhash/s to 314 Mhash/s. When i put it back to aggression 9 it works ok at 290Mhash/s

Is this a bug?
185  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: GPU mining and CPU usage (Computer responsiveness while mining) on: May 31, 2011, 11:00:48 AM
If you ask me, you can prolly use one of the cores of the card for your other things like movies.
186  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Gui miner solo, how do I know it's working? on: May 31, 2011, 10:47:46 AM
Mining with two 6950 will solve you a block in more or less 10 weeks on average, but it's possible to solve it either earlier or even past these 10 weeks.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: pushpool - Tech Support on: May 30, 2011, 06:34:37 PM
I'd advise against using char in the user table. Char is used for storing fixed length data which a username is not hence VARCHAR should be used with.
188  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Mining accidents having caused physical damage (overheating hw, fires, etc) on: May 30, 2011, 05:59:31 PM
This does not necessarily mean it's caused by mining directly, but more or less, indirectly. I overclocked too much to gain faster mhash/s and rendered the card useless under extreme load. It will shutdown if i were to try and bench it with a stressing program.
This is why i set -f on poclbm to a big higher so that it's not fully stressed.
189  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New Miner... possible functionality on: May 30, 2011, 12:47:23 PM
And a -threads option to specify how many threads we want the GPU to use. It's for fine-tuning the hash output.
190  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining rate problem using 2X5970 on: May 29, 2011, 07:20:56 PM
Are the cards getting enough juice?
191  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (500Ghash/s) on: May 29, 2011, 06:20:08 PM
Maybe it's time for a new balancer?

And this is only a small sample!
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sent to wrong address; how did I do this? on: May 29, 2011, 01:21:00 PM
Did you know you just invented a new way to scam people from bitcoins?
193  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What do I need to start a pool on: May 29, 2011, 01:17:29 PM
I can only assume Unlimited Bandwidth, 1Gigabit connection. Quite the ram for Bitcoin and mysql(if you choose to use mysql).
Fast drives.
194  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Huge ~40% Drop in Network Hashing Power (5/27/2011) on: May 29, 2011, 12:17:34 PM
Well, it was originally 1,8THash/s when i joined a month ago.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: pushpool - Tech Support on: May 29, 2011, 12:28:53 AM
And this PPA does...?

You sound like a scammer.
197  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: hashkill - testing bitcoin miner plugin on: May 27, 2011, 11:16:17 PM
The only problem i have is heat. And summer is also going to take it's toll. But no matter how i look at it, a 6950 uses about 160w at stock and does ~310 Mhash/s.
198  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: hashkill - testing bitcoin miner plugin on: May 27, 2011, 11:08:00 PM
Are you solo gat3? I was thinking of getting another 5850 so i can CF, however a 6950 is not a bad choice either(minus the CF).
Should still be profitable considering EVN charges 0.18BGN for 1KW
199  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: hashkill - testing bitcoin miner plugin on: May 27, 2011, 10:23:41 PM
Що не спиш бре gat3way   Grin

Nice release though.
200  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTCMine - mining pool (zero fee, long polling, SSL, JSON API) on: May 27, 2011, 10:20:53 PM
Dude, mind dropping the 1 hour cache on miner stats? It's annoying. Miner stats should be instantaneous.
