No thanks.

If you hadn't been paying [Tycho] that extra 1% constantly, you'd already have those extra BTC that you "need right now".
Oh really? With a 5850? In prop on deepbit per found block i get 0.01. which of course is low. I don't know what fees slush has, but if it takes the pool 5 hours to find a block, and i get 0.05. It's all the same. Those extra btc would have been just one bitcoin.
242  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (180Ghash/s) on: May 15, 2011, 04:14:55 PM
Of course it matters. Say i am in deal for trading bitcoins for some goods. That means i need the bitcoins now not in 20 hours.
243  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (180Ghash/s) on: May 15, 2011, 04:11:45 PM
Unlike you(maybe) i visit the pool's website to see how much i've earned. And when i want the bitcoins be it 2.58 or 1.87 i have to set the threshold to slightly higher to get them; when there's also a chance to wait hours and hours for a block to come.
244  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (180Ghash/s) on: May 15, 2011, 04:08:00 PM
How are they useless? Which is better? Get the bitcoins now, or get them hours later?

I think you know the logical answer.
245  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (180Ghash/s) on: May 15, 2011, 04:00:28 PM
Come on dude, are you waiting for an invitation?

There are many missing features. Like removing that stupid wait for 100-120 blocks for the confirmed reward or lowering it down. Adding a simple payout button instead of the abomination called threshold.

Your pool has been online for a long time, it has a nice design, but these two features are missing; And i feel as though you havent coded any new features at all. Your pool is yet to be complete my friend; so don't in any way think it is
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crytographic email or msging system? on: May 15, 2011, 11:04:43 AM
What i'd rather see is small messages during a transaction. Like sending BTC to someone and adding a small note or something.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitDNS and Generalizing Bitcoin on: May 15, 2011, 11:03:45 AM
Why would one want to generate DNSes? That also doesnt seem possible.
248  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4300 Series on: May 15, 2011, 09:37:57 AM
Your card does not support OpenCl. Sorry.
249  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do I stop large M/hash fluctuations in GUIminer? on: May 14, 2011, 08:13:43 PM
Erm sorry, but the 5850 consumes 151 watts at full load at stock speeds.
The 5830 should be a bit less
250  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin market cap: $50 million on: May 14, 2011, 07:14:57 PM
Are you guys saying that there could be day, when BTC returns to being like less than $2?
251  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining Probability Calculation and market predictions. on: May 14, 2011, 07:12:16 PM
Unless you buy more cards, no.
252  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 2 x 5870 w/ PCI-E x16(x16) & x16(x4) mobo on: May 13, 2011, 02:36:59 PM
May i join the club with 2xPCI-E x16 slots with one in x4 mode?  Grin

I will also soon be ordering another 5850 to CF.
253  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: massAPI (deepbit & slush) on: May 13, 2011, 10:58:34 AM
If someone is so bent on the intent that this program has malicious code, then you guys know where to find Olly. Learn assembly and start exploring the code. Specifically for strings like wallet.dat.

When you don't find the malicious code, then come back and of course apologize to the developer.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with a defective PCIe 16x port (was: Radeon 5970) on: May 12, 2011, 01:30:02 PM
Dude...same issue with me. Cranked up my 5850 to higher clocks like 950 then to 935-925 and i also had those black outs, then fan maxing out....happened 15-20 times before the card got b0rked. Still works, but even at lower clocks(default) it sometimes does the blinking.

I am sorry to say this, but the card is physically damaged, not software. Actually, try OCCT in Error mode with the 5970...if you get errors, you screwed up the card.; very rarely is a slot the cause of a problem.
255  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - now with BFI_INT optimization on: May 12, 2011, 01:23:58 PM
There are some features i'd like to request:

When i've decided to switch to a different server, can you please make it so the shares from the other server get reset? I mean i connect to another server and the guiminer still counts the shares from the other server.
And can you please add the new pools that appeared?
256  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~540 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: May 12, 2011, 01:16:52 PM
Why did the Ghash drop down to ~490?
257  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: need to check that binaries are generated from the exact source code on: May 05, 2011, 10:23:34 AM
I think what he's trying to say is that a random user can compile the program and say "Hey, i added X feature to bitcoin, try it!".

While in fact it had code that copies wallet.dat and send it to a remote server for someone else's use or directly sending the coins to a 'new' address.

260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Creating my own pool(how does it work)? on: May 03, 2011, 11:39:42 AM
I see that on github there is a bitcoin pool server, however i am in doubt of it being that easy.

So how does one make a pool?
