Which client allows to override the suggested fee amount? I'd like to consolidate tens of µBTC transactions into a single coin and pay a much lower fee. I'm using 'Armory' as my wallet manager but I guess I could export private keys to another well-known client.

Hi,
just filled in a NMC wallet address yesterday, but so far nothing happened there in my slush account. Are NMC still mined? Or did I do something wrong? Just typed a walled address from my coin exchange - or do I really need the NMC server tool running?
You'll have to wait for it a while. A Namecoin block has to be mined first, and then at the next Bitcoin block mined by our pool you should see some NMC waiting for you.

Be aware that when you send 0.0074 to the miner that helped you, since the output is less than 0.01 BTC, the bitcoin network will require you to pay a 0.0005 fee. This leaves you with 0.0021.
I know, tough life, I guess I have some scrap BTC from µBTC sites to help fund the cost. But at least I've got some BTC, learned the lesson and stopped watching the ads. Be careful. Depending on how much scrap you have and how small the value is of each scrap output, you could find that they significantly increase the size of the transaction to the point where you are paying a "per kilobyte" fee. At that point, the transaction could end up costing you more than 0.0026 meaning you might not have enough available to cover to cost to send the miner their "fair share". I am aware of the "per kilobyte fee" but it seems rather a suggestion, at least at this stage. I've seen transactions in tens of kilobytes with just a 0.0005 BTC fee added going through and confirmed, and, after all, free transactions also exist. Bitcoin project is still in its rise and at this point I don't think miners should complain about not receiving the "suggested" fee as they are raking most of their revenue from block creation and not from transaction confirmation fees. Later, as the Bitcoin project ages, the topic on the fee amounts probably will become more and more significant.

I'm also not able to purchase some BTC because PayPal is not considered safe and SEPA transfers cost just under 6 EUR in my country.

Can someone help me reach the minimum threshold at Slush's pool? I've mined just 0.0026 BTC and it has taken weeks. Help would be appriciated, and I would send you your fair share for the work.
You might want to consider what you are asking of people to help you recoup what amounts to (at current exchange rates) 37 cents. Chalk it up to some lessons learned and insight gained and leave it on the table. While I fully understand that I am probably looking for some fast miners' help and that they are probably the least interested in this, I am also aware that the work done (mined) is quite meaningless. Anyway, as a newbie and an enthusiast it was worth asking. As I said I would transfer the actual miner their fair share for the work.
EDIT: Also, I have no plans to continue mining after I receive the payment from the pool, so this would be a one time deal.

That is why I am asking. I am mining on ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5xxx series GPU.

The first post I read was the "Newbie Readme".
Answered everything. Now I can spend my time reading exactly what I'm looking for, other peoples' experiences/issues, and most of all, mining rigs. I have no qualms with the current setup. I've found everything I've been seeking in a matter of an hour.
Lucky you! I'am waiting to be approved to be able to ask for legitimate help on a specific subforum.

welcome. how do you find the restrictions on this forum? i find it leads to spammy comments on random newbie threads. and is just delaying doing business with people
If you have a better suggestion for how to keep trolls and spammers out, the forum mods would be very interested to hear. You'll find spammy people will always make spammy threads/posts. It's just their nature to not read and value their own time above others. Mods could issue a warning after an offense. This five post limitation does not help newbies at all, just limit and annoy them. So you'd be happy to wade through all the forums and sub forums looking for troll posts, issue warnings and then keep an eye on them until they make their next troll/spam post before banning them? Sounds like an awful lot of work for someone just so that a new member doesn't need to wait a few hours and make some sensible posts. But the current sollution doesn't make things better. It just postpones the hard work you described.

What is it everyone's so desperate to post that it can't wait 5 posts?
Even once you've made 5 posts, you still can't post outwith this area until after 4 hours.
That'll give you plenty of time to read other threads and stumble across the answer you're looking for.
Certainly not in every case. As an experienced member you probably know better that there happen to be unique questions once in a while.

Hi! Is this the right place where I can express my opinion about the five post rule? I mean, I needed an account to ask a question, but I'm just limited to this subforum. This s*cks
