1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: May 20, 2017, 08:58:50 PM
Ethereum has proved that is a decent coin. His price has raised more then double in the last weeks. I believe that it is the next Bitcoin! I suggest you to buy some and save it for at least 6 months
Yes there is no doubt about this. I think still are some other altcoin with good potential.

I mostly invest my money in trading such coins, as it is always expected that the price of these altcoin will increase specially when the price of bitcoin will stop increasing and will remain as stable currency. For this I have already in mind some currencies to be trade.

Possibly. Though watch out for a rival smart contract platform from Ripple.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: April 22, 2017, 02:09:04 PM
I guess that will be Iota, Ripple, Ethereum, maybe Monero and Incent.

And finally a new Coin will come, that will top Bitcoin. That Coin will be made by an absolutely genius Developer who will focus the property of very very simple and uncomplicated usability made for all the average people using it everyday in normal everyday-life. When your Grandmother uses this coin, then you know this is it.

Well my grandma uses http:// https:// and the DNS system all the time without even realising it.

Very soon she'll using bzz:// bzzr:// and ENS without even realising.

Eth is again at 0.035. time to accumulate =)

If you've decided Ethereum is a good investment and are looking to enter, now is a very good time.

If you don't think Ethereum is a good investment, it doesn't really matter!

Stay away: because its a premined, centralised fuel, it not not even a coin so you cant compare it with good crypto like bitcoin. It is not owned by the people like bitcoin, but by bankers, and big company's they use the technoloy of it and they can set the price on what they want. Dont get trapped in this scam. Stay in bitcoin or only use it for short term pumps

This is not true.

Pre-mined? Really...

Centralised fuel? Really...

Not comparable to Bitcoin? Really... Do you know Ethereum is faster and cheaper?

Owned by bankers and big companies? Really... Inherently bad, right? Very few companies and bankers at the crowd sale. The biggest holders are individuals. Companies and banks came late.

Banks and companies can set the price? Really... Lol.

Scam? Lol.

Conclusion: "stay in bitcoin". LOL!

Pretty much inline with stamp and finex..

Can't log into coinbase to buy with the fiat I parked there earlier today in order to take advantage of just this outcome...... feckers

Hihihihihi!!! Cheesy Cheesy

Disgusting.   Angry

I feel there's quiet accumulation going on right now.

ENS is on livenet on Pi Day. Gold rush feel about Ethereum right now which everyone's trying to keep quiet about.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: March 03, 2017, 08:32:16 PM
Ethereum is the mother of platforms using blockchain and smart contracts, BTC is the mother of digital currency and means to store value. They can be two different things with similar use, not directly enemies. I believe that both are the future
Surprisingly ethereum as been a preferred choice over bitcoins by the cooperate world and is likely to attract more investment as they continue to  incorporate the ethereum technology.

Not just that, for remittances (never mind programmability), Ethereum is faster and cheaper (and more energy efficient, etc.)
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: February 28, 2017, 11:31:08 PM
eth has proved itself to have good value. it dip to 8$ months ago but look at it now. its $15 each. if you have invested during the time when it dip to $8, you could have almost doubled your investment. ETH and XMR and DASH can be a good alt so long as its being used and has purpose.

The ETH is one of the best altcoins. It has good development team.

Ethereum tokens are not "alt" to Bitcoin.

Assuming Bitcoin dominance could well be your downfall.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: February 25, 2017, 12:55:55 PM
ha ha what are you talking man  Grin It's right that Ethereum is an attractive coin, but, it's an alt-coin. Bitcoin is the mother of all coins ...... No one can stop the success of Bitcoin.

That is right. That is the reason why the market cap of bitcoin is the largest.

For now. Assumed dominance is a dangerous thing.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: February 25, 2017, 12:54:40 PM

Ethereum is a 3D blockchain.

Bitcoin is only 2D (value store and value transfer).

You envisage a future where value store and value transfer are done on Bitcoin and value programability is done on Ethereum?

Seems unrealistic and hacky when Ethereum does what Bitcoin does so much better.

Bitcoin is also slow, expensive, energy inefficient and not as reliable. Granted Ethereum had the benefit of being able to analyse years of Bitcoin performance data.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: February 23, 2017, 10:09:10 PM
I do believe ethereum has a good future in crypto world when the right times comes. But it doesn't Bitcoin don't have future, if you are going to check the status between Bitcoin and ethereum at the present now it is almost 1160$  price of bitcoin and eth was 0.01BTC. Now tell me is this what you think that bitcoin don't have a future though the value of bitcoin to eth was mile, miles away unto it.  Oh come on! You've  got to be kidding me.

Are you like 17 going on 12?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: February 23, 2017, 05:07:45 PM
I don't believe in eth as an alt. As for a distributed app platform the technology is interesting, but as for an alt, no.

What's an "alt"?

Alternative to Bitcoin?

Ethereum is a replacement for Bitcoin. It learned from Bitcoin's mistakes and re-architected something better.

In terms of value store, Ethereum matches Bitcoin for security/ease-of-use/etc.

In terms of value transfer, Ethereum is: faster, cheaper, more reliable, more energy efficient.

In terms of value programability, Ethereum is years ahead.

Bitcoin is a 2D blockchain technology that's getting old, is slow and expensive. Ethereum is a lightweight 3D (value store, value transfer and value programability) blockchain for the future.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: February 20, 2017, 11:29:45 PM
Just feels Bitcoin is struggling to keep its head above $1000
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: February 20, 2017, 11:29:08 PM
Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now..
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Thanks!

Ethereum I say its good because the value is at ease and nothing change only the projects is slowing move but it is still moving in progress. and criticizer of ethereum is just a part of ethereum success in the near future.

I think a lot of projects are gone quiet. More testing and security. Early launch with a code oversight could be a disaster.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether Making a Comeback? BTCManager's Week in Review Feb. 20 on: February 20, 2017, 11:27:23 PM
Ethereum is a new world order death cult.

Not a proper cryptocurrency. Centralized crapware.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2017, 11:25:41 PM
Feels like the whole project is treading water at $1000
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum future on: February 06, 2017, 01:26:32 AM
Superimpose the same trend for Bitcoin.

Google trends are anecdotal.

It's quite a leap to conclude that interest in Ethereum has waned.

A lot of Ethereum development is happening quietly behind the scenes. Nobody wants to go to prison and nobody wants to release an exploitable contract.

I'm gone very bullish on Ethereum.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 ether vs 1 btc on: January 19, 2017, 11:45:29 PM
Keep the ether. For example, people say having anonymous transactions is COOL. But they will implement it on ethereum. If being able to send a coin from X to Y anonymously is a big thing, imagine how cool it is to not just do that, but to implement it in dapps / smart contracts. It was tested succesfully on ethereum https://blog.ethereum.org/2017/01/19/update-integrating-zcash-ethereum/ . Next big thing is chosing the best option to scale the chain and then it'll become a killer scalable all in one chain, making every other rival project obsolete.

That's a great feature for Ethereum developers and their users to have.

That Christian Reitwiessner dude has an amazing brain.

A body blow for Monero ;(

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum future on: January 19, 2017, 11:41:04 PM
Today's blog post from Ethereum Foundation is a major body blow to Monero and the likes.

Ethereum is a 3D blockchain: value store, value transfer and value programability.

Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin, etc. are 2D blockchains: value store and value transfer only.
