Due to the super competitive nature of mining bitcoins, many beginners to cryptocurrency have been going to the litecoin and the value of the litecoin has increased as a result of more and more popularity. At what point would litecoins become a threat or maybe even a competitor of the bitcoin?

Agreed. In addition the value of litecoins have been increasing slowly. However I'm not sure if the litecoin will take over the bitcoin in terms of popularity or value. Thoughts?

You should invest only what you can lose. However it may be a good idea if you have some capital to start locally market making bitcoins (buying and selling below and above market price respectively)

I am a bitcoin enthusiast and have been buying and selling bitcoins in person, online, and on the exchange for a while. I am in the market for buying Casascius Gold Coins and saw an auction for a set by (Colbee) but couldn't place a bid due to the restrictions. I've been following the bitcoin reddit for a while also and find the concept and idea of bitcoins fascinating. I would greatly appreciate if I could be whitelisted so I can participate on other forums and also bid in the auctions .
